Bella was already having a slight fear of what Jack might think of her when he found out she was actually a stripper as he had heard. She also thought of letting him know about her pregnancy complications but she feared that this might only break his expectations.
"Why are you quiet, did you want me to come over only to stare at my face". Jack said when Bella was yet to say a word.
"It was not intentional, I had to do it since I was left with no other option after losing my first job". Bella said with a lump in her throat.
"I thought you said you left on your own will and you already have a place to settle down with". Jack said with his eyes wide open.
"That was exactly what I said, but that does not mean I already made plans and arrangements. I can't just stand the fact of telling you that I was fired despite the fact that all this happened because of you". She said in a quiet voice.
"Me!, how?". Jack asked with his jaw dropping.
"Yes. Ever since you began clenching around me you made me so disorganized and the worst took place I got to discover I was pregnant". Bella said, rolling her eyes.
"I don't think I am the one to blame here. It would have been better if you had just told me the truth right from time I would have made a better provision for you than what you are doing". Jack said with a clenched fist.
"What exactly would you have done if I had told you the truth earlier, you would have probably said it was my carelessness and here you are justifying yourself". She said gritting her teeth.
"That's the problem we face with you girls, you are always doubtful about the help one wants to offer to you. At least I would have helped you with a better one than the mess you do and call it a job". Jack said as his face brightened up a bit.
"Well, let me wait and see but that does not mean I am going to stop my work and hope on you". Bella said with her arms crossed.
"Why can't you learn to trust me, you do not need to do all of those before you can survive, you just have to...". Jack was cut short by Bella.
"Trust for what reason!, why would I do that!. Am not quitting not until I see something much better than what i'm doing which can help me". She yelled at him.
"I can't believe you still do not trust me". Jack said in a surprised tone.
"Why do I have to do that when you totally rejected me and now you want me back only to satisfy your lust". Bella said fidgeting.
"When are you going to understand that I am not after my lust but am after the feelings I have for you, that's what is driving me crazy". He said with a beaming smile on his face.
"Cut it Jack, that's what you are going to keep on saying and at the end you would end up leaving me for another the way you just did to Bianca". She hurriedly said with her heart pondering fast.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I don't want to hear anything relating to Bianca whenever we are having a discussion". Jack shouted at her, gritting his teeth together.
Bella jaw dropped shocked at the way Jack had just replied to her, he had yelled at her some other times but not the way he just did on her mentioning his ex name. She wonders what had transpired between them that had made him develop so much hatred for her.
"I have things to do, we will catch up some other time". Bella said as she stood up.
"I know you do not have anything to attend to but only making up an excuse to end the discussion". Jack said immediately as she stood up.
"Whatever way you put it". Bella said without looking at his face as she made to leave.
"Hang on a minute". Jack said as he held her hands.
"Would you mind coming over to my place tomorrow night".
Bella's heart was racing thoughts, she thought of what exactly Jack was up to by inviting her over to his place.
"Why, I don't think I would be able to". She said with a lump in her throat.
"I just want to spend some good quiet time with you and I don't need an excuse". Jack said already knowing what was in Bella's mind.
"I don't know what you are up to, I am not going to be free, I have business to attend to and can't leave because of you".
"Fine, then create another day at your own convenience". He said with his hands in the pocket of his trouser".
"Am not going to be free, you can come see me at where I work if you really have something important to tell me". She snapped with a sigh.
"When are you going to get a grip on yourself and stop this nonsense you call work". He yelled at her.
"Then make an opportunity for that then I would finally stop. Haven't we talked about this". Bella sam shouted at him as she walked out leaving Jack with no chance to prevent her.
"I hope you get to gain your senses someday". Jack said as he left the restaurant.
Bella's heart pounded when she heard the beep of her phone and saw Jack text message. Her mind raced thoughts as she wondered what he was up to this time she was sure he was really up to some of his usual tricks of having some discussions with her. She breathed heavily after reading the text again for the second time.
