Jack hurried to meet Nelly. He sounded so urgent on the phone without disclosing his reason for the sudden call.
"What happened?Is everything alright? Are you okay? ". Jack asked quickly when he met Nelly without giving him a chance to answer any of his questions.
"Am definitely fine, but someone is not". Nelly said, dropping his head.
"Who?,". Jack asked in shock with her eyes wide open.
"Bianca is in a coma". Nelly said as he lifted up his head.
"How!, what happened?". Jack asked in shock with his eyes wide open.
"She had an accident". Nelly said sadly.
"An accident!, how?, where is she". Jack asked as he looked round the hospital.
"She is in the emergency ward, the nurse asked me to wait here for her, so I think you should wait too. It won't take time before they will let us in". Nelly said as he motioned to Jack to have his seat.
"How did it happen?". Jack asked, his heart was pounding faster.
"She had come to see you earlier, she waited in vain for you and you were not forthcoming. And looks like she was already getting sick because of you, and she fainted". Nelly said without even turning to have a glance at Jack's face.
"Sir you can go in now". The nurse called out to Nelly.
"Are you alright!". Jack said as he bent down to hold Bianca's hand.
Bianca's face brightened in seeing Jack, at least her first step was working successfully, she just had to keep on playing well.
"Am fine, I am doing better already". She said as she tried pretending to be angry.
"Do you care for anything?". Jack asked her in a soft voice.
"Do I care for anything,huh?". She said with a little blush on her face.
"If I actually cared for anything, it shouldn't be coming from you". She said gritting her teeth.
Jack was so astonished at the way Bianca replied to his offer, he thought she was the one who wanted to always be around him and now, she's rejecting his offer.
"Why?". He asked as he couldn't hide his surprise.
"Why?, are you asking me why now after you left me to the world with nobody to lean on to". Bianca said, forcing tears to flow down her cheeks.
"You are the reason why I'm here". She said in a quiet voice.
"I don't get what you are saying. How am I the reason why you are her when I haven't been around you for…". He was unable to complete his statement as Bianca cut him short.
"That's exactly what I am saying, you leave me with no one to cling to. I couldn't stop thinking about you, I was so depressed and frustrated that I stopped eating for some days…".
"What!, why did you do that!". Jack yelled at her.
"Because of you!, don't you get it. I could not bear the pain of leaving you, it seems like life had turned its back on me immediately you ended our relationship and, and, ". She cried harder as she stammered her last words.
"I am here because of you". She said ending her statement.
"I want us to fix everything that went wrong between us and let's get back together Jack, I love you and am scared of losing you to anyone". She said, staring at his eyes.
"That can't be possible, I would be there to halo you when you need me but, we can't be in a relationship anymore". Jack said as he stood up.
"Are you going to let me die in pain?". Bianca said as she held his hand.
"I wish I could help you out of the pain you are in right now but, am not the right one to do that". He said as he pulled her hand from his hand.
"Jack!!!". Bianca shouted as Jack walked out of the ward.
"What is wrong with you, you left her crying there when you know she's in pain". Nelly yelled at Jack as he dragged him by his hand.
"What exactly am I to do? She needs someone to heal her wounds, someone to take away her pains…..". He couldn't finish his statement as Nelly interrupted him.
"And are you not the one to do that, you are the one she needs to heal her wounds and take away pain and you are leaving her to die". Nelly yelled at him as he breathed heavily.
"How am I the one to do that?, how!, answer me". Jack shouted back at him.
Nelly stared at him in fury for some seconds as he was about to leave but turned back.
"Don't forget you got her into this, and you are going to bring her out of it". He said as he left.
*Am here because of you!*. The words of Bianca kept echoing in Jack's ears.
"Gosh, why can't I stop thinking about it!". Jack shouted as he pushed the flower vase which was beside him on the floor.
"What is happening to me?. Bella is pregnant for me and Bianca is here about to kill herself because of me. What do I do, what am I to do?". Jack lamented as he picked up a bottle of alcohol and turned some into a the glass cup on the table.
He gulped down the first one heavily and turned some in again. He drank it so quickly and turned some into it again.
"Huh!". He shouted as he threw the cup of alcohol which was in his hand on the floor in anger.
"What's wrong with you Jack?". Bianca asked as she rushed to meet him in the dining room.
"Are you okay?". She asked again.
Jack began crying as he rested his head on her shoulders.
"I just wish someone could take this pain away from me". Jack said so drunk already.
"Don't cry, you would be okay, I am here with you". Bianca said as she held him tight.
"You don't understand it Bella, I am in between life and death and I don't know what to choose right now. I have a lot of things I need to fix right". He said unaware of the person with him.
"He still talks about that dude even when drunk". Bianca said with a sneer.
"Let me walk you to your bedroom". She said as she assisted him to his room.
"You will be okay by tomorrow". Bianca said as she laid him on the bed.
"Wait, don't leave, stay with me. I want you to be by my side Bella. Please stay with me, don't leave. I want you". He said as he pulled Bianca closer.
