Bella definitely knew that Jack was the one at the door. She deliberately ignored the bell. She finally stood up to open the door after he kept on hitting on the bell continuously.
"Don't you know how to be patient!, you almost blocked my ear". Bella shouted at him as she opened the door.
"What have you been doing, I told you to get ready since and here you are not yet prepared or you probably thought I was joking". Jack said immediately as Bella finally opened the door.
"We had already talked about this, I am not going to work as your secretary and that is final. Why don't you get it". Bella yelled at him.
"I think I just have to wait then". Jack said as he pushed his way in and sat on the sofa.
Bella stared at Jack in disbelief. *Maybe his totally out of his mind, he must be going crazy*. She thought within herself.
She walked past him without saying a word. Thirty minutes gone and Jack was yet to make a move to leave, he was still seated so comfortably like one who had nothing important to do.
"You are going to get late for your appointments if you sit here and wait for me". Bella said with a sigh.
"I told you I am not leaving without you". Jack said as he stretched his legs.
"Ahhhhhh!". Bella screamed as Jack pulled her towards himself.
"This is not the right time for this Jack". She said with her heart skipping fast.
"I do not have to listen to you, I know when it is right to do whatever I want, you don't have to be scared". He said, still holding me firmly.
"Get off me!". Bella yelled at him as I pushed him so hard, making him lose his balance.
"I can't be your secretary, I am moving out of the states by next week". She said without looking at his face.
"Why?, what happened?". Jack asked surprisingly.
"I might not be able to keep on paying for the rent, so I have chosen to go back to my parents. I would live with them till I have a good job to take care of my needs, it's better than me staying here with nothing doing". She said without giving Jack a chance to speak until she was through.
"But I offered you a job and you bluntly rejected it". Jack said, gritting his teeth together.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I don't want to be your secretary. Why can't you stop talking about this!!". Bella shouted angrily.
"Fine, then I can offer you a free apartment to stay in until you have the money you need to cater for yourself". Jack said with a beaming smile on his face.
"Why is he always proving stubborn, what is he driving at". Bella thought within her.
"That's not necessary". She rejected the offer without turning to look at his face.
"If not for your own benefit, then do it for my unborn child". Jack said with his head hanging low.
"Are you trying to make me do this using your child as an excuse?". Bella said with a smirk on her face.
"Not for my child, but also for your benefit". He said, staring into her eyes.
"I wish I could let himknow the complications of my pregnancy but that would only hurt his feelings". She thought within herself.
*Snap out of it, that would only make him stay away from you*. I voiced said within her.
"What are you so engrossed in?". Jack said as he snapped Bella out of her thoughts.
"It's nothing". Bella said as she tried walking out.
"Don't tell me it's nothing, I can see it on your face". Jack said as he held her back.
"Even if I let you know, you can't change the situation". She said as she tried removing his hands from her hand but he grasped her harder.
"You don't have to hide your pain from me...". Bella immediately cut him off.
"And who do you think you are that I should share my pains with!". She yelled angrily.
"The father of your child". Jack said.
Bella tried holding back her tears, she once had feelings for him but lost them when he denied her pregnancy. She is not yet ready to take up the risk of falling into his prey once again.
"You can't keep tormenting yourself like this when you have someone to rely on". Jack said softly as he lifted up her chin.
"Why do you act like you feel my pains when you don't, you know nothing about what I am passing through right now!". She yelled at him as tears flowed down her cheeks.
"You don't have to feel guilty, whatever you faced in the past is gone". He said as he used the little white towel in his pocket to clean her tears. He stared at her eyes for some seconds, wanted to say something but immediately shut his mouth.
"That's none of your business, why don't you just leave me alone!". She yelled out angrily.
"You keep on trying to be polite without knowing what one is passing through".
He lowered his head towards hers as he plunged his lips to hers. His lips coaxing hers so gently, he held her so tight leaving her with no other option but to respond back.
"Why don't you answer the call, it might be urgent". Bella said after Jack rang for the third time.
"It's definitely nothing important, it's my brother and maybe his calling for a non sensible thing as he normally does". Jack said as he ignored the call.
"It could be something important just try listening to him". Bella said.
"If you say so, I will answer when he calls again". Jack snapped.
Jack picked the call after the fourth ring. He looked so worried and surprised after ending the call.
"I will get back to you later". He said as he hurriedly left the house without leaving no trace about anything relating to the call.
