Chapter 9 - Hubble Trouble

Hubble Trouble was a mix of Bulldog, Boxer, and Rottweiler. We acquired him from a father and daughter who were selling puppies by the roadside. Upon returning home, my mother suggested naming him West, but I insisted on Hubble, and thus he became Hubble. However, he soon earned the nickname Hubble Trouble after an incident where he escaped with Bandit. Unfortunately, Hubble Trouble was apprehended by animal control while Bandit managed to evade capture. My mother contacted the shelter and confirmed they had him, prompting us to hurry there, as my family had previously experienced a distressing situation at a shelter when my uncle Tom's Great Dane, Smokey, failed to recognize him and appeared distressed. We prayed throughout the drive that Hubble Trouble would remember us, and fortunately, he did. On the way home, I remarked, "Hubble, you are in Trouble; your new name is Hubble Trouble." Upon our arrival, Hubble Trouble barked at Bandit, seemingly questioning why he had been left behind. We cherished Hubble Trouble's presence for a year until he tragically succumbed to bird poison, leaving us heartbroken. My sister Rosa and I wept, yet we found solace in knowing he was in a better place. I continue to miss him dearly.
