beginner -> novice -> intermediate -> expert -> mastered-> perfected

Certain skills can be evolved into stronger forms once the user hits the appropriate mastery level, the higher the level the stronger the evolved skill could be. 

 human -> superhuman -> superior human -> evolved human -> transcendent human ->???->???->??? (??? = will be revealed later in the story)

Body enhancers focus on increasing their stats, and mana manipulators can also increase their stats, but Body manipulators will often be stronger than mana manipulators in close combat.
