Chapter 24 - [Chapter-24 Hunt for Intruder (Part-1)]

Scene: City Entrance Gate - Morning

Once again, Derek Onisek strolls into the city with his usual swagger, feeling good after a long morning of training. The sun is shining, people are bustling around, and he's about to grab some food when suddenly—

Kid: (shouting dramatically from the gate) "INTRUDER! INTRUUUUDERRR!"

Derek flinches and immediately turns to see that the Kid, his pint-sized nemesis, is back. The kid, standing near the entrance gate, is pointing dramatically at Derek like he's just uncovered some world-shaking conspiracy.

SFX: The loud gasp of onlookers, murmurs spreading as people begin to stare at Derek.

Derek: (waving his hands frantically, trying to calm everyone down) "No, no, no, no! It's a joke, everyone! He's just messing with me! There's no intruder!"

The crowd hesitates for a moment, then slowly returns to their daily activities, shaking their heads at the antics of this loud little kid.

SFX: The murmurs die down, people grumbling as they walk away.

Derek turns to the kid, arms crossed, his eyebrow twitching in annoyance.

Derek: (annoyed) "What is your deal, man?! Do you have to scream 'intruder' every time you see me? And what with these clothes today, feels like you got a high-ranking officer job."

Kid: (grinning mischievously) "Well, you do look suspicious. Besides, it's funny! and about my clothes. I bought them yesterday. Are not they good?"

Derek:(Smiles) "The clothes are good but you, no way, you look like a small cock who is not in his good mental state."

The kid again becomes angry angry

Kid:(screaming) " This man trying to kidnap me. Please, help me."

Derek:"Hey, are you out of your mind? Please, everyone, let's remember that he is just a kid. It's important not to take everything he says at face value, considering his past behavior. Let's be understanding and take his words with a grain of salt."

Everybody again started doing their work

Derek: (angry) What's your deal, Motherfucker?"

Kid: (smiling) " Wanna play hide and seek?"

Derek rolls his eyes, clearly regretting ever stepping foot in this city.

Derek: "Listen, Kid, I've got bigger problems than your stupid jokes. I've got actual important stuff to deal with."

The kid tilts his head, intrigued by Derek's unusually serious tone.

Kid: "Important stuff? Like what? Another intruder?"

Derek: (leaning in dramatically) "Even worse. We've got a mysterious person on the loose."

The kid's eyes widen, clearly excited by the idea of a new mystery.

Kid: "A mysterious person?! Who? Who is it?!"

Derek looks around cautiously as if making sure no one is listening, before whispering:

Derek: "Her name is Auguitius Bord. She's from the Angelo-Human territory, and she might be here to… I don't know… attack the city or something."

The kid gasps loudly, his eyes wide with excitement. He looks around wildly, already imagining Auguitius as some kind of terrifying deity.

Kid: "ATTACK THE CITY?! This is bad! REALLY BAD! We need to tell someone!"

Before Derek can even respond, the kid bolts off toward the nearest house, yelling at the top of his lungs.

Kid: (yelling as he runs) "WE'VE GOT A CRIMINAL! EVERYONE, LISTEN UP!"

Derek smacks his palm against his forehead, groaning loudly. He should have known better than to trust this kid with anything remotely important.

SFX: The rapid sound of little feet dashing down the street, followed by the faint echoes of the kid's dramatic yelling.

Derek: (to himself) "Why do I even talk to him…?"

Scene: Charles' Training Ground

Meanwhile, Charles Deak is in the middle of his training, sweat dripping down his forehead as he practices his sword techniques. Suzy stands nearby, watching with her arms crossed, occasionally shouting tips.

Suzy: (encouragingly) "No, no! Swing harder this time!"

Charles growls under his breath, his focus entirely on the training dummy. His mind is so consumed with the upcoming Gunxam Exam that nothing could distract him… except—

Kid: (bursting into the training ground, panting) "Charles! Charles! It's an emergency!"

Charles sighs, lowering his sword as he turns to see the kid running up to him, face flushed and eyes wide with excitement.

Charles: (exasperated) "What now?"

Derek comes jogging up behind the kid, looking thoroughly embarrassed by the whole situation. He throws his hands up in a dramatic apology.

Derek: (grumbling) "Don't listen to him, I tried to stop him, but he just—"

Kid: (interrupting excitedly) "THERE'S A CRIMINAL IN THE CITY!"

Charles and Suzy both freeze, their eyes widening in shock. A criminal?! Here? In the city?

Charles: (voice dropping to a serious tone) "A criminal? What kind of criminal?"

Derek, seeing how serious Charles and Suzy suddenly look, smirks and leans into the drama. Why not have some fun with this?

Derek: (lowering his voice, sounding ominous) "Her name is Auguitius Bord, from the Angelo-Human territory. She's dangerous. Maybe even a thug or something. We've gotta find her before she… well, you know…"

Suzy: (gasps, clutching her chest) "A thug?! What if she's here to destroy the city?!"

Charles's hand tightens around the hilt of his sword, his eyes narrowing in determination.

Charles: "We can't let that happen. We need to stop her before she does anything."

Kid: (jumping up and down excitedly) "Yeah! Let's form a team! We'll be the ones to save the city!"

Derek is starting to realize that things have gotten way out of hand, but part of him is enjoying watching everyone freak out.

Scene: The City Streets - Investigation Begins

SFX: The soft buzz of city life, mixed with the sound of footsteps and bustling vendors.

Now armed with a mission, the four of them—Charles, Suzy, Derek, and the little kid—march through the streets like a group of amateur detectives. Derek and the kid are completely into their roles, walking with exaggerated importance, while Charles and Suzy are trying to keep their nerves in check.

Derek: (dramatically, to a passing citizen) "Excuse me, have you seen a tall person in a white cloak? Might be lurking around… looking suspicious… maybe holding an ominous aura?"

The citizen looks thoroughly confused but shakes their head before hurrying off.

Derek: (nodding professionally to the kid) "See, I told you. We're on the right track."

The kid, completely convinced, mimics Derek's serious demeanor.

Kid: (to a shopkeeper, dramatically) "Have you seen a woman, dangerous-looking, maybe a deity in disguise?"

The shopkeeper just blinks at him in bewilderment.

Shopkeeper: "Uh… no?"

Kid: (nodding wisely) "Okay. Thanks for your cooperation."

SFX: The sound of footsteps marching off, followed by muffled snickers from nearby citizens.

They continue their investigation, asking everyone from soldiers to fishmongers about the mysterious woman. The whole city is starting to notice the weirdness of the group, but they carry on with determination.

Suzy: (whispering nervously to Charles) "What if she's dangerous, Charles? What if we're too late?"

Charles: (trying to sound confident but clearly worried) "Don't worry. We'll stop her. We have to."

Scene: The Shopkeeper's Clue

Finally, after what feels like hours of fruitless searching, they approach a shopkeeper who has some information.

Shopkeeper: (nodding) "Yeah, I think I saw someone fitting that description. Tall, white cloak, looked important. She was heading toward the training grounds."

All four of them freeze, their faces going pale.

Derek: (voice trembling slightly) "Training grounds? You don't think she's…"

Charles: (eyes wide, panicking) "What if she's attacking someone there?!"

Kid: (gasping dramatically) "What if she's an assassin?!"

Derek: (grabbing his head in a panic) "Or worse… what if she's a pain in the ass? Like… a real pain in the ass?!"

Suzy stares at him in confusion.

Suzy: (deadpan) "What the heck are you talking about?"

Derek starts pacing back and forth, looking more freaked out by the second.

Derek: "What if she's one of those assassins that specializes in, like, painful ways to kill people? Miss Vevlet!"

Suzy becomes so terrified

Suzy:(worried and afraid) " We have to do something, something very fast like a real fast. We need help from the king."

Derek: (enjoying this) " No we can't, if we do this then we will get into a serious problem."

Charles:(annoyed) "How?"

Derek: (in gentleman style)" If we tell them then maybe she also got to know about it and she will escape from us."

Suzy:(worries) "Charles, I completely agree with Derek. I can't help but think about the potential consequences if she manages to escape. We need to devise a solid backup plan to capture her, or the entire situation could escalate into a major problem affecting everyone involved. The thought alone sends shivers down my spine."

Charles:(serious)"Suzy, you make a valid point. But have you considered the possibility that she may be even more formidable than we anticipate? Derek's description of her powerful aura is cause for concern. If we proceed without assistance, we could find ourselves in serious trouble. We must seek help, or the situation could escalate beyond our control."

Derek: "We have to make a plan."

The group stares at each other, fear settling in as their imaginations run wild.

SFX: The distant hum of city life seems to grow quieter as their collective panic builds.
