Chapter 30 - [Chapter-30 Date]

Scene: Rooftop of a High Building - Late Afternoon

The sun hung low in the sky, casting an amber glow over the sprawling city. On top of one of the tallest buildings in the district, Jeremy Voiden and Akon Isseki stood together, leaning against the edge of the rooftop. The city below buzzed with the sound of merchants closing their shops, children playing in the streets, and the distant hum of carts moving through the cobblestone roads.

SFX: The soft crackle of cigarette embers burning and the faint whistle of wind at this height.

Jeremy Voiden, a formidable member of the Voiden family, stands at approximately 173 cm and possesses distinctive blue hair and brown eyes. He is of similar age to both James and Akon. In contrast, Akon Isseki is a tall individual, measuring 171 cm in height, with striking amber eyes and black hair.

Jeremy took a long drag from his cigarette, exhaling slowly as the smoke curled into the air before being swept away by the breeze. His sharp eyes scanned the horizon, but his thoughts were clearly elsewhere.

Jeremy: (casually, blowing out smoke) "So, Gunxam's coming up soon."

Akon: (leaning back, hands stuffed in his pockets) "Yeah, it is. Everyone's acting like it's the biggest thing in the world. But honestly? It's just a game of who's got more hype."

Jeremy smirked, tossing his cigarette to the ground and crushing it beneath his boot.

Jeremy: "You're not wrong. The way people talk about it, you'd think we were gearing up for war. But let's be real—half the candidates don't stand a chance."

Akon: (nodding in agreement, taking a drag from his own cigarette) "And the one everyone keeps talking about the most is James. Like, seriously? He's not that special."

Jeremy chuckled, the sound filled with smug amusement.

Jeremy: (mocking) "James Igedvon. The golden boy of the Igedvon family. They all think he's invincible. It's like they've forgotten he was just a crybaby and a weak Motherfucker."

Akon let out a dry laugh, blowing smoke out through his nose.

Akon: "Yeah. What a joke. Everyone's treating him like some kind of prodigy, but we know better. He's got his father's money and his family name, that's all."

The two of them exchanged looks of mutual disdain. For all the hype surrounding James, neither Jeremy nor Akon had any respect for him. In their eyes, he was a coward—a puppet controlled by his family's reputation. They had watched him grow up, timid and hesitant, and they had never seen anything in him that suggested he could be a real threat.

SFX: The crackling sound of Jeremy lighting another cigarette, the flick of the lighter sparking in the quiet rooftop space.

Jeremy: (exhaling smoke, smirking) "Gunxam's gonna be fun, though. Watching all these people get their asses handed to them. And James? He'll choke. Mark my words."

Akon: (grinning) "I'll drink to that. He's never beaten either of us in a real fight. What makes them think he can win this thing?"

The conversation drifted off into silence as they both smoked, the peaceful moment interrupted only by the distant sounds of the city below. The two of them stood in comfortable camaraderie, knowing that they were on the same page when it came to the upcoming competition—and the people they were about to destroy.

Scene: Suzy's Arrival - Rooftop of the Building

A soft creak of the rooftop door brought both their attention to the newcomer. Suzy stepped onto the roof, her pink hair catching the last rays of sunlight, giving her an almost ethereal glow. She smiled when she saw Akon and Jeremy, her eyes lighting up.

SFX: The gentle sound of footsteps approaching, the soft creak of the rooftop door closing behind Suzy.

Suzy: (grinning) "Hey, you two. Up here causing trouble again?"

Akon turned, his face immediately softening when he saw Suzy. His cigarette was tossed aside without a second thought, and he stepped forward to greet her. Without a word, he pulled her into a quick kiss, which she returned with a playful smile.

SFX: The soft rustle of clothing as they embrace, the light smack of their kiss.

Jeremy: (teasingly, raising an eyebrow) "Get a room, you two."

Suzy rolled her eyes, her arm still around Akon's waist.

Suzy: "Oh, shut it, Jeremy. Like you don't have a girl waiting for you somewhere."

Jeremy: (mockingly) "Yeah, well, unlike some people, I don't feel the need to broadcast my personal life on a rooftop."

Akon chuckled, but his attention remained on Suzy. He kissed the top of her head, his hand resting comfortably on her back.

Akon: (softly to Suzy) "You ready to go?"

Suzy: (nodding, smiling up at him) "Yeah, let's get out of here."

The couple turned to leave, but Jeremy couldn't resist throwing in one last comment.

Jeremy: (grinning) "You two lovebirds have fun. Just don't get too distracted before Gunxam. I want to see some real competition."

Akon shot him a look, half-amused, half-annoyed.

Akon: "Don't worry. I'll still wipe the floor with you."

Scene: The Walk to the City - Evening

Akon and Suzy made their way down the narrow streets, hand in hand, as the city began to transition into the evening. The bustling sounds of vendors calling out last-minute deals filled the air, and the smell of street food wafted toward them as they walked through the crowded market district.

SFX: The soft murmur of the crowd, the distant sounds of vendors, the clatter of street carts.

As they strolled, Suzy couldn't help but glance at Akon from the corner of her eye. She had always admired him—his confidence, his strength. But today, something was on her mind, something she had been thinking about for a while.

Suzy: (casually, as they walked) "You know… Charles has been working really hard lately."

Akon's expression immediately changed, his jaw tightening slightly as his hand clenched around hers. He didn't like where this conversation was going.

Akon: (coldly) "Charles? That guy's a nobody. Why do you even care what he's doing? He is just a weak cock who we don't like."

Suzy stopped walking for a moment, frowning at him.

Suzy: "He's not a nobody, Akon. He's been training day and night for Gunxam. He's got heart, you know? He's a good guy."

Akon's eyes darkened, his grip tightening even more around her hand.

Akon: (bitterly) "Good guy? He's from some low-class family, Suzy. What's so good about him? You're way out of his league."

Suzy pulled her hand out of his, her eyes flashing with irritation.

Suzy: (defensively) "Don't say that. Charles has always been there for me, and he's a good friend. I don't care where he comes from."

Akon scowled, running a hand through his dark hair.

Akon: "It's not just about where he comes from. It's about what he represents. He's weak, Suzy. He's not like us. He can't handle what we're capable of."

Suzy: (sighing, clearly frustrated) "Not everything's about strength, Akon. There's more to people than just their power."

Akon's eyes narrowed, and for a moment, the tension between them was palpable. But he took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down.

Akon: (softly, but still firm) "I just don't want you getting involved with someone like him. You deserve better."

Suzy looked at him for a long moment, her expression softening as she realized where his protectiveness was coming from.

Suzy: (gently, placing a hand on his arm) "I get that you're looking out for me, but you have to trust me, Akon. Charles is just a friend. You're the one I'm with."

Akon relaxed slightly, though the tension in his shoulders didn't fully disappear.

Akon: (sighing, nodding) "Alright… I just don't like the guy. But if you say he's okay, I'll drop it."

Suzy smiled, squeezing his arm affectionately.

Suzy: "Thanks."

With that, they continued walking, the tension between them easing as the lively market streets swallowed them up once more.

Scene: The City Center - Nightfall

By the time they reached the city center, the market had grown even busier, the streets lit up by colorful lanterns. Stalls were overflowing with goods—everything from fine silk to handmade trinkets—and the smell of freshly cooked food filled the air.

SFX: The bustling noise of the market, the clattering of stalls, and the sizzling of food on grills.

Akon: (grinning, pulling her toward a food stall) "Come on, let's get something to eat. I'm starving."

Suzy laughed, letting him lead the way as they approached a vendor selling skewers of roasted meat and vegetables. The two ordered a variety of dishes, from spicy grilled skewers to steaming bowls of noodle soup.

SFX: The sizzling of food on the grill, the clinking of coins as Akon pays for their meal.

They found a small table at the edge of the market and sat down, enjoying the sights and sounds of the busy evening.

Suzy: (grinning, her mouth full of noodles) "I love this place. It feels so alive."

Akon: (nodding in agreement, biting into a skewer) "Yeah, it's got a good vibe."

For a while, they ate in comfortable silence, watching the crowds pass by. But Suzy's thoughts kept drifting back to Charles, and she couldn't shake the feeling that Akon was still bothered by it.

As if sensing her thoughts, Akon reached across the table, taking her hand in his.

Akon: (softly) "I'm not mad at you, you know. I just… care about you. That's all."

Suzy smiled, squeezing his hand in return.

Suzy: "I know. And I care about you too."

Scene: The End of the Evening - City Square

After finishing their meal, Suzy and Akon wandered through the city square, stopping at various shops and stalls to browse the goods. They laughed as they tried on silly hats and admired beautiful pieces of jewelry, enjoying each other's company.

SFX: The soft hum of the crowd, the clatter of coins and goods being exchanged.

The evening was winding down, and as they stood outside one of the final shops, Suzy leaned against Akon, smiling up at him.

Suzy: "This was fun."

Akon: (grinning down at her, wrapping an arm around her waist) "Yeah, it was. We should do this more often."

They stood there for a while, just enjoying the moment as the city continued to buzz around them. For all the tension earlier, the night had turned out well, and they both felt content.

The scene ends with Suzy and Akon looking at the motel and smiling.
