As I thought of what to do, to have William's attention off from my memory, I drove down the beach closer to me to relax my head, as my stomach had started coming up.
"Hello, pretty lady." A young, handsome man drew closer to me.
"How can I help you?" I asked him why the hunger was on me.
"I see you are not happy. Can we have a quiet time together.?" He asked me.
"Look here, young man; I didn't burn my energy down here to spend time with any of your genders, but rather to relax my head. So excuse me." I shouted at him.
"My name is Thomas." He said it without knowing how I felt about his presence.
"How did I care to know, Beisde?" I didn't ask you." I replied him.
"Yes, you didn't; I only think we start from there." He added.
"It seems you are married." He added.
"Yet you still have the audacity to approach me with the quest to have a quiet moment with me." I answered his question.
"That doesn't matter; I only saw you as one in trouble." He said me.
"I am fine." I answered him rudely. But Thomas still insisted that he have some time spent with me.
"I hate his gender, and I hate them with all my heart." I spoke within me. I tried to resist him, but he kept pleading, not until I got annoyed and got into my car and drove off.
Thomas stood, with his hands on his waist. "Tomorrow is another day." He concluded to continue with his play on the beach.
"What was he thinking when he approached me? Did he think I would be so cheap to accept a second spend with a man, aside from business talk.?" "That man must be crazy to have introduced himself to me even when I didn't ask of him." I said within me with my hands on the stirring.
At William's office, doctor Alexander met with him.
"I think you have done the worse mistake by letting her go." Doctor Alexander said to William.
"She left without me asking her to do so." William, turning on his chair, replied.
"What do you expect her to do after what you have done to her? You watch your son dying yet you left him for a secret wedding with Evelyn." Alexander, be ready to challenge William.
"It wasn't a secret wedding, young man; the wedding event went viral; I guess that was the reason she left." William answered proudly.
"I don't know you would be so heartless to this point." What have come over you, Williams?" Alexander asked him.
"I have heard enough of your concern. Now leave my office." Mr. Williams pointed at the door before Alexander, who stood and left.
"Rubbishes, he has managed his home yet he wants to teach me what to do." William said to himself.
Then I put a call to Evelyn to know how she was doing.
"Am I doing absolutely fine, my love, and you.?" She asked him.
"Same with me." "I can't wait to join you at home during the night." He said to her as they both exchanged their romantic greetings. At this point, I got to realize that I was worth nothing to Mr. Williams.
A week later, while working around the poultry farm with Clara, who has turned my best friend. I watched seeing a car drive into the poultry farm. Within me, that should be a customer. I didn't mind putting more interest in knowing whom the car owner was since the sales manager was there to attend to him or her. But to my greatest surprise, it was Thomas, who has come to purchase some birds for the weekend.
"My God," Clara said, on seeing Thomas.
"What is it.?" I asked her. "Are you moved by his handsome look? He was the man that stood speaking trash to me at the beach last time." I told her.
"This is the man who saved your life." Clara said to me.
"I don't understand you. How did it happen?" I was yet to hear from Clara when Thomas walked directly to our sitting position at the poultry.
"I think I know this face." Thomas said with a smile on his face as he tried to remember where he met Clara.
"At Mr. Andrew Hospital, you are the young man who donated his blood to save a lady. Here is the lady; you save her life." Clara replied.
Hearing about this was short of words.
"You mean this is the pretty lady I donated my blood to.?" Thomas asked.
"Yes, she is the one." Clara answered with joy in her heart.
"Wait, what are you both insinuating, that this is the man that saves my life?" Norah, with a finger pointing at Thomas, said.
"Yes," Clara answered.
"I am sorry I couldn't wait to see you; I have a business meeting to attend, though I almost ran late, but I think the good act I offer to you will save my job." Thomas explained to me.
"My pleasures." I stretched my hands toward him as we had a handshake. I quickly stooped off my hands from him. Looking at Thomas, I had reflections on all that William had done to me.
"Where is she going to?" Thomas asked Clara, watching me leave his presence in a hurry.
"Just make your purchase; my joy is that we have got to know you." Clara replied.
"No, she can't act like this, at least not to the man that saved her life." Thomas added.
"You won't understand." Clara replied.
Thomas met with the sales manager and picked up the birds he had come to buy.
"What is the problem, Mrs. Norah, is that how you appreciate people for their good towards you.?" Clara asked me.
I breathed down as I replied to her.
"You won't understand the pain I felt while I shocked his hands. I remembered the days I spent with William—the horrible days." I answered her.
"This is Thomas and not William; he has nothing to do with your past. You should have shown appreciation; now you make him feel that he made a mistake saving your life." Clara is getting hungry on me.
"Please understand me." I pleaded with her.
"You need to let the last go while you focus on the future." Clara advises me.
