Meanwhile, in his kingdom, Kingston couldn't sleep all night. He prayed with his eyes open, hoping Princess Lynn would see the letter. "This is not enough; she might not know me," he thought. Determined, he decided to take a risk. He disguised himself and sneaked out of his kingdom that night, spending the whole night at the border leading to the Bloody Kingdom.
"It doesn't end here. I know my mother will be worried, but I have to take this risk for the love I have for Princess Lynn," Kingston said to himself. He sat on a wooden chair, mosquitoes biting him, as the sound of crickets filled the air. He thought about how to get into the kingdom. "I am not recognized; this will make it a perfect journey," he said, and eventually fell asleep.
Only to be surrounded by a group of warriors from the Bloody Kingdom, who saw him as a spy. They captured him and brought him to the kingdom.
Lycan, hearing about the capture of a stranger, went to investigate. When he saw Kingston, he was suspicious. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Lycan demanded.
"I am just a traveler seeking refuge," Kingston replied, hiding his true identity.
Lycan, still wary, decided to bring Kingston to the palace for further questioning. When Kingston set his eyes on Princess Lynn, he felt an immediate connection. Lynn, who was expecting to learn about the author of the letter, was taken aback by the stranger's presence but felt a strange pull towards him.
"Who is this man?" Lynn asked Lycan.
"We found him near the border, claiming to be a traveler. He might be a spy," Lycan replied.
Lynn looked at Kingston, her curiosity piqued. "What is your name, traveler?"
"Kingston," he replied, keeping his identity hidden.
Lynn felt a warmth in her heart. "Let's talk," she said, leading him to a quieter place.
While Princess Lynn was still speaking with the disguised Kingston, King Aiden emerged from the palace. "Young man, what are your plans for my kingdom? I have been informed that you are a spy," King Aiden said sternly.
"I am a traveler who has journeyed from a far distance. I was resting when your men caught me and labeled me a spy," Kingston answered calmly.
"That is what you are and must be treated as such," King Aiden retorted. "We do not spare spies here; we kill them immediately, and I will do so now."
"No, Father, I think we should lock him in the prison and examine him further. He might be telling the truth," Princess Lynn interjected.
"Silence, Princess Lynn! This man is a spy and must be killed immediately," King Aiden replied harshly.
"Spare his life, Father, just for a week while we gather information about him. If he truly is a spy, I will be the one to cut off his head," she promised her father.
"I am the king here; you do not tell me what to do. Otherwise, my subjects will mock my reign. Step aside while Lycan cuts off his head," King Aiden commanded.
Lynn ran towards her father and knelt before him, her hands on her mother's feet. "What has come over you, Princess Lynn? When did you start having a soft spot for strangers, especially one who appears to be a spy?" Queen Isabella asked in shock.
"I can't explain exactly what has come over me, but I know that with time, I will uncover his true reason for being here," Lynn promised her parents.
King Aiden hesitated, looking at his daughter. "Very well, he will be imprisoned for a week. But if he is found to be a spy, you will carry out the execution yourself," he decreed.
Kingston was taken to the dungeon, his mind racing with thoughts of how to prove his sincerity to Princess Lynn. As he was led away, he caught Lynn's eye, and she gave him a reassuring nod.
Kingston was thrown into the prison, his mind racing with thoughts of how to prove his sincerity to Princess Lynn. As he sat in the dark, damp cell, he couldn't help but think about the letter he had sent and whether it had reached her.
Meanwhile, Princess Lynn was determined to find out who had sent her the intriguing letter. She arrived at the border and sat on the same wooden chair where Kingston had once rested. "Whoever sent this letter, please show up and let's talk," Princess Lynn shouted, her voice echoing through the quiet night.
After a few hours with no response, she was about to leave when Prince Lucas appeared, dressed in his royal attire. "What are you doing here, Prince Lucas?" she asked, surprised to see him.
"I am always with you, so you can hide it," Lucas replied cryptically.
Lynn's eyes narrowed. "I don't understand what you mean, Lucas. And frankly, I don't care. I despise you for always trying to control my life and for thinking you can manipulate me."
Lucas smirked. "You misunderstand me, Lynn. I am not here to control you. I am here because I love you."
"Love me?" Lynn scoffed. "You don't know the meaning of the word. You only care about yourself and your ambitions. I hate you for that."
Lucas's expression hardened. "You may hate me, but that doesn't change the fact that I love you. And I won't allow anyone else to have you if I can't."
Lynn felt a chill run down her spine. "You can't force me to love you, Lucas. My heart is not yours to claim."
Lucas stepped closer, his eyes intense. "We shall see, Lynn. We shall see."
Back in Kingston's kingdom, Queen Eleanor was pacing her chambers, worry etched on her face. "Does it mean Kingston has gone for Princess Lynn?" she asked herself, her mind racing with concern.
Kingston's subjects had noticed his absence and insisted on going in search of him. Eleanor didn't stop them, fearing that if she did, they would suspect her knowledge of his whereabouts.
"I hope he is safe," Eleanor whispered, her heart heavy with worry. "Kingston, please come back to us."
