Chapter 8 - King Lucas plans war against Kingston

Princess Lynn, feeling unwelcome in her father's palace, decided to leave the next morning. As she packed her belongings, Isabella approached her. "Where are you going, my princess? This is your home," Isabella said, her voice filled with concern.

"You call me your princess, yet I am no longer recognized as one. For your information, Mother, I am going to join my husband in his palace. If you need me, come over to see me," Lynn replied firmly.

"No, daughter, it hasn't come to that. Please wait while I speak with your father on your behalf. I know you want to join your husband, but that should be done later," Queen Isabella pleaded.

"Mother, I don't think that's necessary. I can't wait. Besides, my father, the king, doesn't want to see me. He thinks I can't survive without the palace," Princess Lynn said, her voice tinged with sadness.

"You are my daughter. I carried you in my womb for nine months. Please don't leave without my joy. I have missed you and would like you to stay longer," Queen Isabella implored.

While they were still speaking, King Aiden walked closer. "What is all this about? You think you can leave my palace just like that? Don't dare step out," King Aiden commanded, his voice stern.

Princess Lynn stood her ground. "Father, I respect you, but I cannot stay where I am not wanted. My place is with my husband now."

King Aiden's eyes softened for a moment, but his pride held firm. "You are my daughter, and this is your home. Leaving now would be a mistake."

Queen Isabella, seeing the tension, stepped in. "Aiden, please, let us discuss this calmly. Lynn, give us a chance to resolve this. Your father loves you, even if he doesn't show it."

Princess Lynn hesitated, torn between her desire to leave and her mother's heartfelt plea. "Alright, Mother. I will stay for now, but only because of you. But know this, my heart belongs to my husband, and I will join him soon."

"If he calls me his daughter, he should treat me like one, not like someone in prison," Princess Lynn spoke angrily. King Aiden's expression grew more serious as he ordered the guards to stop her. Lycan, knowing Princess Lynn's strength, hesitated. When he finally tried to intervene, Lynn's swift movements nearly injured him.

Determined, Princess Lynn disobeyed her father and made her way to her husband Kingston's palace. Upon her arrival, she immediately sought out Kingston and recounted everything that had transpired.

"Kingston, my love, there is a plot against your kingdom. I overheard it in my father's palace," she said, her voice filled with urgency.

Kingston listened intently, his expression growing more serious with each word. "We must act quickly to thwart this threat," he said, taking her hand.

Meanwhile, back at King Aiden's palace, the king was far from at peace. The absence of his daughter weighed heavily on him, and he found himself constantly worrying about her safety. Despite his stern exterior, he couldn't shake the feeling of regret for how he had treated her.

Queen Isabella noticed her husband's distress and approached him. "Aiden, you must understand that Lynn did what she felt was right. She loves you, but she also loves her husband. We must trust her judgment."

King Aiden sighed deeply. "I know, Isabella. I just wish I had shown her more understanding. I fear I may have pushed her away for good."

As days turned into weeks, Princess Lynn and Kingston worked tirelessly to uncover and dismantle the plot against their kingdom. Their bond grew stronger as they faced each challenge together. Lynn's bravery and determination earned her the respect and admiration of Kingston's court.

One evening, as they sat together in the palace gardens, Kingston took Lynn's hand. "You have shown incredible strength and loyalty, my love. I am proud to have you by my side."

Lynn smiled, her heart swelling with pride and love. "I will always stand by you, Kingston. Together, we can overcome anything."

Back in King Aiden's palace, the king finally decided to reach out to his daughter. He penned a heartfelt letter, expressing his regret and longing for reconciliation. As he sealed the letter, he hoped that it would reach Lynn and mend the rift between them.

How do you like this continuation? Would you like to add or change anything?g Aiden nodded, a hint of relief in his eyes. "Very well, but remember, this palace is always your home."

"I need to call a war against the Kingston Kingdom, but I have yet to receive your approval, my king," Lucas said, addressing King Aiden.

King Aiden sighed deeply. "I see how deep and desperate my daughter's love has grown for him. Taking Kingston's life would be the only way to recover her back to myself. But I must think wisely before I end up hurting myself."

Lucas nodded solemnly. "I promise, my king, I won't hurry Lynn. I will be patient."

King Aiden raised a hand. "Wait, Lucas. We must consider all consequences."

However, Lucas, driven by his stubborn resolve, traced his way to the Kingston Kingdom. Upon arriving, he sought out Lynn and tried to convince her to marry him. This infuriated Kingston, who reacted violently to Lucas's advances.

In the heat of the moment, Lucas drew his sword, its blade glowing hot with anger. Just as he was about to strike, Lynn stepped in, grabbing his hand. "If you want to fight, you'll have to go through me first," she challenged, her eyes blazing with determination.

When Lucas returned to his kingdom, he paced around restlessly. "Does it mean I will lose Princess Lynn to Kingston? No, I must plan carefully. But how will I go about it, knowing she has undying love for him?"

Determined to find a solution, Lucas sought advice from Dominic, his trusted adviser. Little did he know, Dominic had his own agenda and sought to mislead him.

"Dominic," Lucas began, "I need your counsel. How can I win Lynn back from Kingston?"

Dominic, hiding a sly smile, replied, "My lord, the only way to win her back is to show her that Kingston is unworthy of her love. Create doubt in her mind about him. Make her see that you are the better choice."

Lucas frowned, unsure. "But how can I do that without hurting her?"

Dominic leaned in closer, his voice low and persuasive. "Sometimes, my lord, a little deception is necessary for a greater good. Plant seeds of doubt subtly. Let her come to the realization on her own."

Lucas nodded slowly, considering Dominic's words. "Very well, I will think on this. But remember, Dominic, I do not wish to harm her."

Dominic bowed, hiding his true intentions. "Of course, my lord. I am here to serve you."

"Waging a war against Kingston is a waste of time; it's the smallest kingdom," Dominic said, attempting to mislead Lucas. "I suggest you send a few guards to deal with him."

"But what about Princess Lynn? I will end up hurting her," Lucas asked, his concern evident.

"She will only endure the pain of losing Kingston for a few months. In the end, she will have no choice but to accept you," Dominic replied smoothly.

Lucas, filled with fear of hurting Lynn, hesitated. "Remember, if you fail to do this, you will lose her forever," Dominic added, knowing full well that Lucas wouldn't withstand Lynn's love. His true intention was to destroy Lucas by pushing him to wage war against Kingston, thus clearing the path for his own ambitions.

Dominic returned home, a satisfied smile on his face. He was confident that Lucas would follow his advice and ultimately be killed, leaving Dominic to seize power.

Lucas pondered deeply, realizing that violently pursuing the woman he loved was not an option. "I love Princess Lynn," he thought, "and I will win her heart by gradually removing Kingston from the picture."

As Lucas sat alone in his grand palace, worry gnawed at him. The flickering candlelight cast long shadows on the walls, mirroring the turmoil in his mind. He knew that his plan was fraught with risks, and the consequences of failure weighed heavily on his shoulders. The silence of the night only amplified his fears, making him question every step he had taken so far.

Would his love for Princess Lynn be enough to see him through this treacherous path? Or would his schemes unravel, leaving him with nothing but regret? The uncertainty was almost unbearable, but Lucas steeled himself, determined to see his plan through to the end.
