Chapter 11 - The action

Lucas, without anyone's permission, secretly waged war against Kingston. This took place while Kingston and Lynn were asleep. But Lynn, being a warrior and always alert, sensed the danger approaching.

"Get up, Kingston. I sense danger around," she said, shaking him gently.

"My love, I think you are overstressed and need some rest. Why not get some sleep now? There's nothing happening outside," Kingston replied, trying to reassure her.

Lynn persisted. "You can keep on sleeping while I stay awake to watch over us."

"I can't let you stay awake alone. It's better we do this together or both go to bed," Kingston insisted.

While they were still talking, one of Kingston's guards burst into the room, panic evident on his face. "Your Majesty, please help!"

Kingston and Lynn immediately sprang to their feet. "What is the matter?" Kingston asked urgently.

"There's an ongoing war, Your Majesty. Unknown guards are attacking," the guard reported breathlessly.

"Get me my sword," Lynn commanded the guard.

"No, you don't need to fight this with me. I will handle it myself," Kingston said, trying to protect her.

But Lynn was resolute. "I will fight him and destroy everything he has. Whoever it is has to go down. This is not far from my father or Lucas."

Kingston saw the determination in her eyes and knew there was no stopping her. Together, they prepared to face the threat, ready to defend their kingdom and their love against the unknown assailants.

Lynn and Kingston sprang into action immediately. They armed themselves and rushed out to confront the attackers. Despite their valiant efforts, Kingston was captured and taken to Lucas's kingdom. Lynn, unaware of who had captured Kingston, fought fiercely to save him but was cut deeply on the hand.

When Lucas arrived at his kingdom and saw Lynn's injury, he was furious. He punished the guard who had cut her, as Lynn was not his target. With Kingston now in his grasp, Lucas confronted him.

"I will end your life, Kingston," Lucas declared, his voice cold and menacing.

Kingston, despite his dire situation, remained bold and defiant. "You think you can scare me, Lucas? My life is not in your hands. I am not afraid of you."

Lucas sneered. "You should be. I hold all the power here."

Kingston met his gaze steadily. "Power? You think capturing me gives you power? True power lies in honor and courage, something you will never understand. You may have me now, but my people will never bow to you. And as long as Lynn is out there, you will never truly win."

Lucas's eyes narrowed. "You underestimate me, Kingston. I will break you and your kingdom."

Kingston shook his head. "You can try, but you will fail. My spirit is unbreakable, and my people will rise against you. This war you started will be your downfall."

Lucas's face twisted with anger, but he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that Kingston's words brought. He knew that as long as Lynn and the spirit of the Bloodstone Kingdom lived on, his victory was far from certain.

Lynn was deeply worried about Kingston's capture, and the entire kingdom was disturbed, especially his mother, Eleanor.

"This could be your father's plan, Lynn. Please, save my son," Eleanor cried, her voice filled with desperation.

"I'm not confused about who is responsible, but I know this: if anything happens to Kingston, I will wipe out my father's kingdom, including Lucas's," Lynn said, her hand throbbing with pain from the cut.

She reflected on the moment Kingston was taken by unknown warriors and screamed in frustration, determined to fight back. The next day, Lynn drove to her father's kingdom. She stormed through the palace, rudely pushing aside every guard who tried to block her way.

"Where is my husband, Kingston?" Lynn demanded, her voice echoing through the hall.

"Are you insane, young lady? How can you barge into my palace with such a rude question? Do I, in any way, hide or know his whereabouts?" King Aiden replied, his tone stern.

"My husband was captured by your men as part of the secret plan you had against him. Now, I need him back, or I will wipe out your kingdom," she declared, her eyes blazing with determination.

King Aiden stood up, his face red with anger. "You prodigal daughter! How dare you speak to me like this?"

Lynn's resolve did not waver. "I dare because I love Kingston, and I will do whatever it takes to bring him back. If you had any part in this, you will regret it."

King Aiden's anger was palpable, but he could see the fierce determination in his daughter's eyes. He knew she was serious and that she would stop at nothing to save Kingston. The tension between them was thick, and the fate of their kingdoms hung in the balance.

"I am giving you just a week to release him, or face the consequences. Send that message to Lucas as well," Lynn declared before turning to leave. King Aiden and Queen Isabella tried to call her back, but he held his peace, watching her storm out.

King Aiden was deeply worried. "This won't be far from Lucas. He is the cause of this," he muttered to himself.

Determined to get to the bottom of it, King Aiden called for Lucas. When Lucas arrived, he was informed about Lynn's visit and her accusations.

"Are you insinuating that I have Kingston captive?" Lucas asked, his voice laced with indignation.

"No, but if you did, it should have been done without hurting my daughter," King Aiden replied, his tone stern.

Lucas shook his head. "There is no way Lynn won't be hurt. She will, but with time, she will get back to herself. We should pray that Kingston is killed. In fact, we need to find out which kingdom is holding him captive."

King Aiden's eyes narrowed. "Are you suggesting that whoever did this is justified?"

Lucas smirked. "Not justified, but strategic. If Kingston is eliminated, it removes a significant threat. However, we must be careful. Lynn's wrath is not to be underestimated."

King Aiden sighed, conflicted. "We need to find Kingston before it's too late. If anything happens to him, Lynn will never forgive us."

Lucas nodded. "Agreed. Let's gather our intelligence and find out who is behind this. We need to act swiftly and decisively."

As they plotted their next move, the tension between them was palpable. Both knew that the stakes were high, and any misstep could lead to devastating consequences.

Lucas, pretending all the way, said, "I still love my daughter, and I won't hurt her. But the fact remains that I won't allow her to spend the rest of her life with Kingston. This is just the beginning."

King Aiden nodded. "How I wish I were the one holding Kingston captive. I would definitely kill him."

Meanwhile, as Lucas was heading back home, he was stopped by Lynn. She stood in his path, her expression bitter and determined.

"I saw you drive to my father's palace today, and I decided to wait for you here," she said, her voice filled with anger.

Lucas feigned surprise. "Lynn, what are you doing here?"

Lynn's eyes narrowed. "Don't play dumb with me, Lucas. I know you're involved in Kingston's capture. You think you can manipulate my father and get away with it?"

Lucas sighed, trying to maintain his composure. "Lynn, you're mistaken. I had nothing to do with Kingston's capture. I went to your father's palace to discuss other matters."

Lynn stepped closer, her voice low and threatening. "I don't believe you. If I find out you had any part in this, you will regret it. I will not rest until Kingston is safe and you pay for your deceit."

Lucas met her gaze, his expression unreadable. "I understand your anger, Lynn. But I assure you, I am not your enemy."

Lynn scoffed. "We'll see about that. Just remember, I am always watching."

With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Lucas standing there, his mind racing with thoughts of how to maintain his facade and keep his plans hidden.

"Lynn, I love you. I need you by my side," Lucas pleaded.

"And you think holding the one I love captive will give you access to my heart? All I ask from you now is to release him or face the consequences," Lynn retorted, her voice cold and determined.

"I don't know where Kingston is," Lucas replied rudely.

Lynn clenched her teeth together and glared at him. "You hear the sound of my teeth? That's how I will crush you if I don't see him in a week's time," she warned before turning and walking away.

Lucas watched her leave, a mix of frustration and admiration in his eyes. He knew Lynn was serious, and her threat was not to be taken lightly. As he stood there, he realized that his plans were becoming more complicated than he had anticipated.
