(Trigger Warning: Infanticide)
"I will be there with you at every step. Wherever you go, I go," said Felix and placed his forehead close to her forehead. Their girl pup kept cooing in between them. "Give me her, I will hand her to you after you get out of the hospital."
Deidra nodded and wiped her tears. She handed the baby to Felix and opened the window. She was still in pain but could not feel anything as now her body was in hyper mode just to protect her kids. She had to save them. She jumped out the window and first Thessalia handed a long cover to tie around her body. That way she could carry all her kids.
Felix kept handing her kids one by one and she kept tying them around her body. She knew she had to transform into a wolf to run faster. She had her kids tied up nicely around her belly and her back and then she transformed into a large brownish-black wolf with white patches all around her back.
Before Deidra could run away, the door was broken down and Seth entered the room baring his teeth. He too was in his wolf form. He pounced at Thessalia and rendered her unconscious.
"Run! NOW!" shouted Felix and jumped at Seth. Mid-air he transformed into his wolf form as it would have been difficult to subdue a wolf as a human. Seth and Felix struck each other face but their paws clapped together, and they fell to the ground.
They both stood up and faced each other. Felix was not ready to give even an inch of space to Seth. He kept pushing him towards the door, away from the window, giving time to Deidra to run away. Seth was now getting angry, his prey was running away from him. He had to be faster than everyone, smarter than everyone.
Seth looked at the fainted Thessalia and smirked at Felix.
"No!" growled Felix. He knew what Seth was going to do next. He was going to attack poor Thessalia. In her state, she won't be able to help herself. Felix jumped in between Thessalia and Seth and that was his mistake. Caring for someone else was his mistake. Seth opened his mouth to grab the neck of Thessalia, but the neck of Felix came in between.
Seth sunk his teeth and the blood gurgled out. Even before dying, Felix covered Thessalia fully with his body so that Seth could not kill her or even harm her. Thessalia slept under Felix not knowing what was happening around her.
"Seth please!" pleaded Felix before dying.
"Don't worry, I am not here to kill her, I am here to kill your baby, the white-haired baby," laughed Seth and jumped out of the window. The soft pillow like snow showed him the paw prints of Deidra. A few more minutes would have hidden her prints as it was snowing heavily. Lucky for Seth he subdued his enemy sooner.
"Follow me!" Seth shouted and many wolves left their prey and started following him. He had to catch up to Deidra if he wanted to kill the girl pup.
All the rouges started following Seth and other warriors from every pack ran inside the room.
"Thessalia!! Felix!!" shouted Alder. "Help them! I will follow Seth," he ordered. Borus immediately ran to his wife and removed Felix from above her.
"I… tried! I tried!" mumbled Felix.
"Don't worry Felix. You are fine. I will take care of you," said Borus and held his neck tightly to stop the blood but there was no stopping the blood.
Opaline and Nolan followed Seth while Helen stopped to help Thessalia. Others too ran out of the hospital to help Alder and other warriors.
Deidra kept running like the wind. She didn't care for the cold air, she didn't care for the cold snow or the fact that she couldn't see the path, she just used her power of smell and kept running and running. The problem was, her kids kept wailing. That sound alerted a lot of rogues and they kept following Deidra.
Running for long was proving to be a difficult task. She tied the cloth tightly around her kids but now the kids were ready to slip out. She could not stop and take care of it in her wolf form and her clothes were torn away so she could not turn into a human. With her paws, she would take care of her kids and keep running.
Abruptly, a rogue jumped at Deidra but she dodged him. Dodging him was a mistake. One of her children slipped away. The boy fell to the ground and started crying due to the cold.
"Nooooo!" shouted Deidra but she was too late. The rogue was upon the kid. He placed his paw on his mouth and nose and kept putting pressure on the child till the child's head was buried in the snow. Within seconds the boy was dead.
Deidra's long cloth was looser now. At any given time, a child could slip away, she had to change her form. She could not think about her modesty, she had to think about her kids. She grabbed every one of her kids, even though it was difficult and threw the long cloth around herself covering herself to some extent.
Left and right she kept dodging the rogue but there were too many after her. Soon Seth came up to her yet she never stopped. Barefooted, she kept running and thank the moon goddess, to help her, Consuela the fastest runner of the whole pack came close to her. She knocked Seth out of his path.
"Run, Deidra, run," she shouted but a rogue jumped on her. Instead of helping Deidra, she had to fight that rogue.
Two rogues jumped before Deidra, and she had to stop.
"Give us the kids and you will be spared," shouted one of the rogues.
"Never!" she shouted and diverted her path. She started running in a different direction. To her bad luck, another of her kids slipped away from her arm.
