Chapter 9 - No Need To Worry About The Future

Harris Kelleway returned to his residence and opened the box that Franklin had given him. There was a document laying quietly inside.

Seeing the four words on the cover, Harris was shocked. He flipped through a few pages and looked at the content, but didn't want to read any further. His face had become even gloomier.

The Larson Group had acquired 33% of the shares of the Arabian company, Riyadh. Seeing the clear acquisition details, Harris angrily swept everything on the table in the hall to the ground.

Tristan Kelleway, who had just walked into the room, heard an unusual noise and quickened his pace towards the hall. Seeing the scattered objects on the ground, he frowned. He had never seen his father lose his temper before. Today was the first time he saw him so angry. So he asked softly. "Dad, what happened?"

"It's really disgusting. You'll know after reading the report." Harris was furious when he mentioned this matter.

"Dad, are you angry because of this?" After reading the acquisition report in detail, Tristan finally understood the source of his father's anger. He put the documents back on the table and spoke slowly and methodically. "The Larson family and us, are business rivals. It shouldn't be surprising that they would use this method to intimidate us."

As soon as the Titan Group of Companies signed the contract agreement with Riyadh, the Larsons acquired the number of shares in the Riyadh Company in advance. The purpose was obvious.

Harris was unable to extinguish the anger in his heart. "Our efforts and hard work have been laid to waste by the Larsons."

"I told you before, dad. I implored you not to aggressively acquire domestic shares and securities. This will put other large companies on guard, and our future plans to continue expanding the market here in America will be hindered. It's what's happening now."

When small companies were being acquired in large numbers by them, companies with equal status wouldn't let their competitors take over their territory.

Harris only saw the immediate benefits of large scale acquisition, and didn't think about the consequences. Tristan was different. He would only take action when everything was safe.

Since he was fifteen years old, Tristan would review important documents for Harris, and most of the time he would come up with plans for the company. Seeing his great potential, his also attached great importance to him and consulted him on everything.

"Since the contract has been signed, we have no choice but to continue cooperating. Now that the Larsons are the largest shareholder of Riyadh Company, many things we'll do in the future require their consent. Let's just leave it at that." After Tristan finished speaking, he turned around and went upstairs.

Patience was the most important thing in everything. If they didn't want them and the Larsons to go to war, on American soil, they had no choice but to take a step back and give the Larsons a leeway.

Although Harris felt unhappy, he could only swallow his anger.

Ava was walking alone on the way home when she suddenly remembered that she wanted to call Hannah back, so she pressed the button to call back.

"Hannah, I'll be having an interview with your company in two days from now."

"Ah, really?" Hannah answered the phone in surprise. It appeared that she had even forgotten that this was the job she introduced in the first place.

"Yes."

"That's great."

"Yea, so don't forget to come out and pick me up." After the exam, she knew she had to find a job first, otherwise she didn't know how she was going to make a living. This was an opportunity she couldn't afford to miss.

"Okay, call me when you get here." Hannah agreed.

After hanging up the phone, Ava felt a little happier. Now that she had a way out, she no longer had to worry about not having living expenses.

At the silence of the night, she would always think about what happened to her that night at the nightclub. How could she continue working there? She never wanted to have anything to do with that man who was as cruel as a devil again in her life.

Little did she know that they were destined to be entangled in this life.
