The next morning, Ava got up at six o'clock and quickly tidied the house. She made breakfast, woke up Martin, had a meal together, and then left the house.
Today was the day she was going to apply for a job at the Larsons Group, and she couldn't be late no matter what.
Because she was not familiar with the geographical location of the company, she took a taxi for the first time. She was earning a few dozen dollar for so long that it made her feel distressed all this while. Making money was not easy, so she saved as much as possible. This had always been her principle.
After getting off the car in front of the hundred-story building, Ava was surprised for a long time as she looked up at the endless height of the skyscraper. She knew that the Larsons Group was a multinational company, but she didn't expect that its headquarters here in America would be so massive.
She was just a student who had just graduated from campus. She was green and inexperienced, enough for her not to know that there were countless buildings in the world that were more magnificent than this one.
At the same time, she was also confused, but she pushed it aside in her mind and just walked into the rotating glass door. She saw five or six elevators, but she didn't know which direction to go. This was why she asked Hannah to pick her up. So, she could only call Hannah for help.
After a while, Hannah walked out of one of the elevators. Her formal suit off her curvy figure. Her curly hair was casually scattered, and her elegant light makeup interpreted the beauty and charm of a professional woman.
The sound of the five-centimeter high heels hitting the ceramic tiles on the ground could be clearly heard as she hastened over.
When she reached to Ava, she was almost out of breath, but she still blamed her. "Ava, you see what you're putting me through? Didn't you say you would call me as soon as you got there? So, why did you only think of me when you couldn't find your way up?"
Ava originally didn't want to disturb Hannah in her work, so she wanted to apply for the position in the Human Resources Department by herself, but she was ultimately defeated by her unfamiliarity with the place.
Feeling that she was wrong, she immediately apologized and said with a smile: "I was just afraid of disturbing your work and didn't want to cause any trouble for you from your manager."
SHe put her hands on Hannah's arm and said pitifully. "I'm sorry. This is on me."
"You damn right." When Hannah heard this, she refused to buy it and rolled her eyes at her.
Ava looked at her friend and smiled. She knew that this trick worked, and she was willing to put aside her pride and apologize to make Hannah happy.
The two of them chatted back and forth, which wasted a lot of time and almost made Ava late. So, she quickly urged Hannah to take her to the Human Resources Department, and the two of them walked towards the elevator talking and laughing.
When she walked into the elevator, Ava caught a glimpse of a handsome figure from the corner of her eye. She felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity and turned around but could only see the backs of several men in black suits.
She tried to see beyond them, but several people came into the elevator one after another, blocking her line of sight, so she lowered her eyes.
Franklin was walking and instructing his secretary and department managers behind him when he suddenly felt a pair of eyes following him. He looked back but only saw company employees walking back and forth.
His secretary, Miss Davenport, saw the company's president stop and followed his gaze, but saw nothing. She was curious about what Franklin was looking at that could create a sparkle in the cold-hearted young man.
Franklin thought it was an illusion, so he withdrew his gaze and walked out of the rotating glass door,
