After returning home, Ava changed out of her dress, took a shower, then leaned against the head of the bed, feeling sad.
In her heart, she believed she had no chance to be with Tristan. So, she could only hope that he understood the rejection this time.
She closed her eyes and thought about how to go on in the future. Before she realized it, she had already fell asleep in a daze.
The next day, she was woken up by a pleasant ringtone. She was still sleepy that she didn't even open her eyes, but just reached out for the phone on the table next to her.
She took a hazy look at the screen and swiped the answer button. "Hello! Who is this?"
"Hello, are you Miss Ava?" A sweet female voice came from the phone.
"Yes, who's speaking, please.!" Ava replied lazily.
"This is Miss Monroe. I'm calling you from the Larsons Group of Companies. I'm calling you in regards to the recent interview you had with us. I'm glad to inform you that you passed the interview. So if you can come to the company this afternoon to complete the entry procedures, that will be great."
After hearing the news, Ava no longer cared about sleeping. She jumped up from the bed excitedly. "Thank you for notifying me. I will definitely be there this afternoon."
"Okay, see you then." After hearing the agreement, the lady on the other end of the phone hung up.
Ava was so happy that she threw her phone on the bed and hummed to herself. Such good news, of course she had to celebrate at noon. Thinking of this, Ava immediately got up from the bed, quickly washed up, and dressed in the simple sense of it.
When walking towards the living room, she saw Martin watching Tom and Jerry cartoons.
Martin asked in surprise. "You're up?"
"Yes, it's such a beautiful day, isn't it?
"I guess."
"Little brother, tell me what you want to eat for breakfast today? Anything you want, and I'll get it for you." Ava said. It was a rare opportunity for her to celebrate, so of course he had to be willing to spend money.
"Really? I want to eat a chicken burger." Upon hearing about food, Martin's calm eyes suddenly lit up.
Seeing his expectant look, Ava agreed unconditionally, "Okay, okay, let's go eat some chicken burgers then."
She always knew that chicken burgers were Martin's favorite food, but because their financial situation was not in a good place, he was also sensible and never mentioned it to her.
Ava brought Martin to Popeye, found a seat first, and then chose two special meal sets. Well, she could only say that it was her habit to save money even when celebrating.
Today, she finally got a new job. She had asked different people, but none of them could help her. But Hannah was different. Not only did she find her a job, she believed she also helped her concerning the interview.
Her performance was mediocre at the time, so why did the examiner let her pass? Definitely because of Hannah.
After lunch, Ava took Martin back to school first, and then she took the subway to the Larsons Company.
She first went to the Human Resources Department to complete the entry procedures, and then ran to the Administration Department to chat with Hannah for a while before leaving.
In the future, the two of them would work in the same company and would be able to see each other every day, so they can take care of each other.
When Ava officially started working, she was assigned to the logistics department, responsible for doing some miscellaneous tasks.
Here she met several hardworking colleagues, and also several colleagues who took the opportunity to slack off. Most of the people here were regular employees, and she was the only part-time employee.
As a newcomer, she was naturally the messenger for the old employees.
Sometimes she was asked to help get something, sometimes she was asked to go downstairs to get coffee. She was kept busy, however, she had no complaints.
These jobs were much easier than her previous part-time jobs, and she didn't have to work night shifts. Her salary was twice as much as before, so she was happy no matter how tired she was.
