Atticus, I am nervous. I am afraid of going to my parents' death anniversary for the first time in fifteen years," Sabrina said sadly.
Atticus smiled faintly before taking her hands into his. "It is not your fault, Kathryn. And don't blame yourself for their death, okay?" His eyes locked with hers as he began. "Your parents would be so happy wherever they are to finally see their daughter and finally getting recognized."
"Why do you always have a way to soothe my heart? Uh?" She joked, making both of them burst into laughter. "You are the best thing that ever happened in my life, Atticus," she added calmly.
"I am glad you think of me that way," Atticus mumbled before moving his face closer to hers. "Instead of giving a damn about our contract marriage, let's terminate the contract. Let's just be us and not a couple bound by a contract."
"Contract? I already forgot such a word exists," she teased.
