Chapter 3 - Chapter Three

"Mr Kamara from the tests and scans done, it being discovered that your wife suffers from partial memories loss which is probably from the accident " the doctor said striking a heavy blow of relieve in Kenitas' chest as well as curiousities.

Did she hear correctly?

She questioned through with mouth barely held in tact.

How was it even possible?, she knew the truth and so was the doctor after the scans and tests , so why was she at their faces lying?. And to be clear that was their first meet and from observations she was probably a closed person to her sister's husband, so why lied to one believed to be trusted?.

Just an hour earlier her heart was in juggled in her chest while her fingers repeatedly smoothed the sides of her dress as she copied the steps of her sister's husband that led down to the short hall way to the right of a door.

"Mr Kamara" a tender voice called stealing their gazes at her slender figure that concealed beneath the white coat that seemed pale from continuous wash, yet on her defense was a cause from her mother's caring sides towards her. Her circle face enlightened her rich dark eyes that complimented her flat straight nose.

"Rachel" Mr Kamara casually greeted with a smile which she returned in delight. Her black heels echoed on the roughy tiles as she stalked in their direction. She had received a message from him on his arrival with his wife with aimed to do some tests.

"Do we really have to do it?" Kenita said barely to the ears of her own yet was caught by Kamara who stood a gap away from her. His paranoid mind couldn't just let the dubiousness of his wife's miraculous revival nor her mysterious amnesia. He felt a thing or more off about the whole story and he had known better as a businessman himself. He was no detective but he could tell when one was making shits up and damn right his so wife was on it, his inner guts had testified.

"Yes" he responded "am looking out for you" he dryly added with eyes stoned at her twitched lips that formed the second his words landed out.

"Hi," Kenita greeted the second Rachel's eyes met hers. Nervously she smiled only to counter nothingness from the other party that seemed wary of her whole presence. Rachel's gaze eveaded her sight for Kamara who had felt tough air between the ladies but needles he cared little about their whole situation as what matter was the results of the reason they were there.

To reveal his wife's lies, which he believed.

"This way please" she directed to the door straight ahead. On their entrance Rachel instructed the man in the lab what to do and much so, Kenita was instructed to lay flat in the machine that went in the second the man pressed a button. Minutes later she was out for another scan and tests that went on for minutes and she couldn't be more thankful that it all came to an end.

There wasn't much to do , her lies were going to be exposed, she had thoughts through as she sat out on the available seats at the side of the lobby.

Her hands exaggeratedly rubbed her face to a point she felt sores at her checks.

"You okay?", her face gently gazed up to capture his cheek bones that laid sharp to his chin, his brows that arched in curvy yet straight lines, those eyes were a dead beat in any woman's gaze even for hers. Yet a second of reality came swiping every thought that praised his beauty.

She wasn't to be charmed by him, he was a monster yet to be proved, a murderer yet to be discovered.

And what was with the concerns towards her ?, his brain scolded. Thou he wished to steal glances at her at the side of his eyes , he dared not for fear of an known familiar attachment. He couldn't risked the first and second mistakes to repeat.

Taking a seat by her, he devoured in his thought that was in jumbled on what or how it felt. On one hand, he was in distress and burdened at her sudden revival yet pleased and relieved to have her breathing, perhaps it was in concern for his daughter, whom he believed needed her mother.

"Mr Kamara" Rachel called after a walk out of her office. After an hour she invited them in her office and revealed the news that left one speechless and another relief.

"Mr Kamara from the tests and scans your wife seem to have memeory loss and it best believe to be cause from the accident" she stated shutting the boiling stomach of Kenita as well as ease Mr Kamara's mind on his wife being suspicious.

"Thank you Rachel" Kamara said casually before headed for the door after a request was made by Rachel to speak with his wife in one.

The second the glass door went gliding to it stop, Rachel's eyes darkened at Kenita as she leaned forth her body on the chair.

" What's your relationship with David?" She queried setting intense stares at Kenita who seemed to have gotten a clue as to why she lied. He must have met her and convinced her to lie about the results but how though ?.

"What's your relationship?" She asked again in much displeasant to her sealed lips. When her ex David showed up unannounced t she thought it was to reconcile their past issues, though it had taken three years since their break up. She still held lingering feelings towards him and had hoped much in his visits but only to have he request a favor for some woman, especially a woman who was already taken and didn't lay right to her, so she had to enquire and set her boundaries.

She had questioned his reasons for his request but he evaded every discussion on it.

Not able to resist his charms on her she compiled and lied as he instructed but mainly it was with the purpose of reviving the dead chemistry between them and a plus of him owing her a favor set more tempts in her veins.

"Why did he asked I lied about your memory loss?" She again inquired

"I can't say" Kenita simply stated with no intentions to narrate her cause of findings and justice, the little that knew the best it was for her goals.

"What of your relationship with him?" Rachel's nails digged the depth of the wooden table that held her arms as she glared at the woman infront of her. She rushed to condemn her looks but deep she saw her gracefully brown eyes that fit in with her cupped lips shaped in 'M', her cheeks that sharpened at each end, raising a question if she had work done, yet felt she was all God made. What made it more detestable was the hairlines that filled perfectly, not being half shaped like hers due to the years of stress and work.

Damn, how badly she desired her fingers scratching those damn lips that wouldn't budged.

" I can't say either, if you so desire to know my relationship with him then ask him yourself" Kenita responded, she felt it wasn't in her position to tell if David didn't. Much more she had just met the lady for Christ sake and yet the fued between them felt like years.

"If you're done I'll be out" She continued with a quick exit out to Rachel's dismayed and heavy sigh.

Out she met Kamara patiently waiting for her. He led the way the second he saw her and moment layers they were back on a trip home.

After a long drive, the car was in a flash Haute, she took her gaze from the side glass to his feet pressed on the brake panel and fingers that grabbed out the key from the car, and then stepped out with no care to her inside.

"We're home" he informed to noticing her reluctance to come out. He could tell she was in distress or perhaps the unfamiliarity to the environment, specifically a cause from her loss of memory.

Had she really forgotten their home, the same home he had happily presented to her on their wedding day, the joy in their voices as he carried her in with kisses laid on her body.

'Really?'

Either it didn't matter , what more was he to expect from a woman like her. He was just in regrets that the pasts might conflict the present.

With a clear and determined mind she set foot on the cemented tile of the galant compound, the immense structures of the mansion were first to sight. The giant stairs were graced to the eyes and beauty of art from the chandeliers that hanged breathlessly on the ceilings, which were artistically crafted with painting of her favorite Greek gods and goddesses. Most of her art were inspired from the gods of the oldies, certained her sister must have insisted on those arts to be brought alive in the mansion.

"Dad" a voice came through, suddenly drowning Kenita's eyes in running flow, her feet accordingly chased for the girl just about eight at the side of the huge dinner tables of spectacular beauty. Unrestrained her hands grasps her tiny body in her chest , warming her fingers felt the cold of the child's cloths much to her frozen body.

"Lisa, my beautiful angel am so happy to see you" she said with bless efforts to hold back her joy or tears.

"How do you know her name if you have memory loss of the past?" Karma asked with arched brows that grew along with his lips.
