"I've found the driver" the moment the call came in she jumped right in a cab after a rushed out of the office and long stairs since the elevator was taken at that time. Hastily she stared at her phone for direction to the location being sent by David. Luckily her the cab driver hired was a master in the area directed to, just as that she was infront of a restaurant. Checking back her phone she went in and asked a waiter about meeting a friend, he later led her to a private room in the restaurant.
Within her eyes laid on David and besides him was a man of stout and beard, quite the double age of David.
"Ma" the man voice came out in shaking, his eyes dtill in disbelief. "You're alive" he again marveled at the occurrence, he had saw the news of her death but she…
"Hi" greeted Kenita while offering herself a seat on the low wooden bench. "You must be my driver, sorry I list my memories from the accident" she detailed out thou certain David must have filled him in.
"I just want to know what happened that day" she asked unsure if he would respond. David had said he was reluctant to come or talk of the past. When they found out that her sister's driver suddenly vanished after her so accident they knew they had to find him, and thankfully David found him with his sources.
"Please I just want to know what happened that day, why weren't you with me if we left together?"her words came out soft and compelling, even at his resistance he could not help but tell his side.
"That day you I was driving you to meet a friend but on the way I lost control of the brake and got into an accident" the man explained.
Clear as the scene recapped, his hands were on the steering when all of a sudden he felt the speed of the car raised at every second, his hands quickly steered through the busy lanes while his feet rushed for the brakes only to discover the brake panel had fail. In hard gulp he tried his best to steer the wheels to a safer sides, he dared not scream nor tell of the situation at hand, yet he picked from the mirror that his boss had also noticed the issue at hand.
From hard effort he drove the car for a side walk, hard he crashed into a tree while he cautioned that his boss braced herself. With luck they were out of the car which later erupted smoke and blazing hit.
"Only God knows how we survived that accident, but soon after you left me to handle the car issue while you rushed to meet your friend. That was the last I saw you"
"You saying I had a car crash and the accident at the same day?"
"Yes, I was even in shock to hear of your death. It made my suspension even concrete of that day. I definitely recalled taking the car for servicing a day earlier" he detailed " The only possibility of the brake fail was that someone sabotaged the car with intends of killing you" he continued. After the accident , he called a mechanic who confirmed that the car brakes was tempered with.
"If someone tempered with the car brakes then why didn't you informed the police?" David interrogated, certain his statement would have helped the police continue the investigation instead of closing it for an accident.
"Well I tried but sir paid me off and asked I live town so I did just that" and that was all Kenita needed to confirm her doubts. She was right, he was behind her sister's death. He must have paid off the driver ,preventing him to tell the truth to the polices caused he knew he would be investigated.
Later he had the case closed for an accident.
"I really don't know anymore than what I've said, ma please let me go I can't continue being seen with you" he detailed. His mind still in worried of the consequences of being seen with her. There had been warning texts sent to him to never speak of the car incident and should he ever failed to do so, his family was going to pay.
He was hesitant but David compelled words made him to meet up with them.
"Thank you so much" her word sincerely came out with a warm smile.
"Also, I'm not sure it'll be of help but that day the car was in order when I drove you the the company. Whatever was done to it was at the company's premises" he concluded before sneaking his feet off the private restaurant room.
"I know it him that sabotage the brakes but we lack evidence" she vented out with a slam of her palm on the flat table.
"Not necessarily, there are security cameras everywhere in the company so I just have to hack into their system and retrieve the footage of that day" a grind formed on her lips as he narrated his plan.
That was going to work, once he had the footage she would be able to prove that Kamara set her sister's to death.
"But first I must have access to the security computers" said David before washing his throat with the colorless wine.

Jumping right back in a called cab she directed to be taken to Lisas' school. It was a minute to three and school off at three, thanks to the informations gathered from auntie Bintu she was able to know the time Lisa classes end and her favorites things which she hoped to use med their relationship. All she had to do was wait the remaining seconds which seemed to be hours as she waited, her legs paced back and forth while her glance kept peeking at the watch on her wrist.
Just like that time ran as the school bell went by, easing the stress in her chest as well as other parents whom stood impatiently. The sound of children steps were beats to her ears, she attentively looked at the door for her Lisa, within a minute or more time slowed as she gazed at Lisa walked in the mist of her colleagues.
In excitement she ran up to her.
"What're you doing her?"asked Lisa in grumpy tone, her face failed to hide her displease to her presence.
"I'm here to pick you up" responded her, her hands opened to brace Lisa but she averted the warm gestured and walked off only to be chased.
"Ain't you happy to see me?"
"No am not, I never asked for you to come, I don't need it" she scolded out. It was too late for her mother to start acting like one, her life was alreafy structured. Those nights of her tearing over the lack of attention and love from her mother had long gone, the heart that deeply begged to be loved was dead and she was in pleased with her current self.
"I'm sorry" Kenita apologized grasping the attention of others at them. " I'm sorry that I've been a bad mother, I'm sorry to have neglected you , I'm sorry for my past mistakes" all watched as she bent in front of her daughter, gasped many did while others whispered of various.
"I'm really sorry Lisa, I want to make it up to you. I promise I'll be a good mother from now on" she assured and that time, Lisa could see truth in her eyes, her words sincerely enough to soften her heart but dared not rush into conclusions.
Though there was a glum of spark in her heart she masked it , and hopped in the car.
"What happened to the car and driver?" She asked in reference of her own car and personal driver but Kenita responded to have ordered the driver not to come pick her up and the car was a cab ordered. Coldly Lisa sighed retiring her back on the cars' chair.
"Do you want to stop for some ice cream?" delighted Kenita asked quite suggesting, her eyes widened as was her lips that pouted for her to agree.
"How old do you think I am, some five years old?" Clearly her mouth wasn't, it was as sharp as her cold attitude, needless to say she was her father's daughter.
"Ice cream has no age limit and you're seven"
"Eight, am eight not seven" she corrected with a huff. Quite the attitude, the child was a mix of both parents, just great.
"So, no ice cream?" Kenita trailed off , while her finger swiped photos of ice creams, a bait that was quite of use. Little Lisa's eyes went stealing glances at the pictures, it had been long since she last felt the taste of cold sweet cream so what was to lose.
Well her steeze .
"Since you're craving it I won't mind accompanying you to have some" she said after a quick clear of her throat.
"Right" Kenita's voice dragged through in a chuckle "Driver take us" she directed their next location, thanks to the phone and maps laid out she was able to find her way to any location pleased in the city.
The drive wasn't that far from a store that attracted Lisa's attention, the driver pulled over while they got out for the baby pink decorated store. Within were candies , cakes caged in glasses and gaint machine that popped out what they went for.
Thrillingly she watched Lisa's legs hopped for the man by a machine , making rolls for others of Lisa's age.
"Can I get an ice cream please" requested Lisa, her glances faded on the various flavors. The colors mixed were an art of wonders.
"Flavor?" The man behind the ice cream maker asked with a warm grin.
"She will want vanilla flavor combine with strawberries please" her gaze turned to meet Kenita's and somehow she couldn't help but return the smile given.
"And I'll have chocolate please" that all it took to get Lisa staring at the woman in front of her dubiously.
"Chocolate?" Her adorable voice inquired out, stiffened her eyes watched attentively at kenita's face and hair.
"Yes, chocolate is my favorite" she casually responded not taking into consideration of the fact that her twin was allergic to chocolate and neither was she a fan of sweets, it always landed her rashes on any attempt.
"But you're allergic to chocolate, you despise it" Lisa hands framed on her chest as she continued her detective gaze on her. The face was her mothers but somehow she felt the body and soul wasn't, could it be that she had being possessed?.
Perhaps, she said through while Kenita have nervous chuckles.
"Or perhaps your allergies have gone" she said , easing the tense in Kenita's body. She felt any second she was outed by her, thankfully she didn't.
Or she did and just passed it by all to have the moment lived.
"So where do you want to go next?" Kenita asked brushing the tense air.
"I have homework to do, so it best we return home early" how diligent of her, impressed she was at how much grown the child was.
And there they were back in the car after a bite or two cups of ice creams, inside Kenita watched her nod off with head leaned on the side. Her hands went in to aid straighten her head but she lit wide her eyes and told of her not being asleep. The moment was cut short when a stop was made infront if their gate and they got off not after a pay was made in cash to the driver.
"I'm glad that you and young mis are getting along" auntie cheered out while handing a mug of brewed coffee to Kenita. She had just helped Lisa out of her uniform and did her laundry then down the first floor accompanying her madam.
"Thanks" a delighted grin came out as she took the mug up inhaling the alluring heat that streamed out, steadily her hand aid her lips touched the edge of the mug while her tongue felt the mild hot of bitter and sweet, a mixture of both pleasure and sorrow , just as she liked it.
"I heard you took her out for ice cream" auntie continued while dusting the statue on the wall. The young girl first return at home went with her bragging about her mother taking her home, quite a bit confused at her mother's new kindness but also she was happy to have the affections given.
Auntie had noticed her contagious smile and little whispers of wanting reconciliation with her mother, just a bit hesitant.
"Well am trying to get on her good side" Kenita honestly said while gently dropped the mug on the counter.
"Oh you're there believe me, young mis looked so happy and I haven't seen her glow like today. " the child was really having it hard from both parents, yes her father was compassionate to her and did loved her beyond said but it was no deny he was too busy to spend time with her. And even if she understood his work and time schedule she couldn't help but feel left alone.
"Auntie, do you have any idea what happened the day of my accident, I mean where was I headed to?" Auntie face went scowl to the change of topic, her fingers hooked the edge of the duster firmly as she tried to fake a smile.
"I honestly have no idea" she lied half way. She knew that day that her ma visit was to someone but just didn't know who that person was and from past warnings from her boss, she was told to not engage in conversations of the past with her madam.
Kamara had strictly forbid her from talks of that day or their hectic relationship, she found it off but dared not disobey. Her job was the only source of income for her family.
"Ma if I must say, it best you have the past be the past." She cautioned before stalking off.
Even if her words were meant of good and wisdom she could not let the past be the past, her sister's death had to be sighed out and justified. Yes, she was well awared of what lies ahead.
The night was a quick bite of mosquito on the skin. Early as dawn light spreads through Kenita was off bed and down for another morning meal preparation then back for her room and got dressed for work. She had a day ahead, a must mission to sneak David in to collect footage from the security cameras to see who had sabotage her sister's car.
Right at the doors of her office she was greeted by Alima who showed excitement to have her around, much so to have her partner in crime back.
"Good morning beautiful" she greeted while leading her legs in the room. "So what did you want to talk about?" Her lips wide out as she offered herself a seat on the chair. Her message the other night of wanting to talk to her left her sleepless and guessing, as someone who despised suspense.
"I need your help with something but you can't let anyone know" Kenita informed , she wasn't sure if she could be trusted but she was the only one she was familiar with in the company and by far her instincts told she was reliable, hopefully.
"I'm all ears" said her as she straightened her body in attentive to every word told. Either was she sure nor had full detail about everything but she was willing to help.
All she had to do was tricked the guards out of the security room and Kenita would do what she needed to do, which was easy as one of the guards has a fling for her and the other would probably be tricked into being called while she engaged the fling one into conversation.
At another side , David was chasing for the elevator when he bumped into Kamara who stared curiously at him. His head was covered in a black hat while his body worn a dark pair of shirt and trouser with dark shoes.
Just right, he had to wear that color of all colors, doesn't he have any common sense?' Kenita scolded as she watched from a gap away. Anyone would suspect a man in all dark , that too one without a badge of identification.
"Sorry" he faked his voice out deep as he apologized for bumping into him.
"Excuse me, can I see your work identification" requested Kamara on his several noticed of his eyes dodging on every seconds, his hand repeatedly shield his face while they waited on the elevator.
Any normal person wouldn't act do suspicious.
"Your identification" his tone hard out, that was it, he was going to be caught.
