Chapter 18
– Xavier's POV
We arrived in country C, our senses on high alert. Desmond met us at the designated location, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "Let's get to work," he said, handing me a folder full of documents. "This is the evidence we need to take down Mr. Anthonio." As we delved deeper into the documents, we heard a noise behind us. It was Jessica and Dami, sneaking up on us. "Xavier, we have something," Jessica said, her voice low. "We've been tracking Cassandra's movements. She's meeting with some shady characters." Dami nodded. "We think they're planning something big." I nodded, my mind racing. "Let's get closer. We need to know what they're planning."
We followed Jessica and Dami, keeping a safe distance. They led us to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town.
Jessica's POV
I peeked through the window, my heart racing. Cassandra was inside, surrounded by men in suits. "What are they planning?" Dami whispered beside me. I shook my head. "I don't know, but it can't be good." Suddenly, Cassandra looked up, her eyes locking onto mine. I ducked, my heart skipping a beat.
Dami's POV
I grabbed Jessica's arm, pulling her back. "We need to get out of here. Now." We sprinted back to Xavier and Desmond, our hearts pounding. "They've seen us," I said, out of breath. "We need to leave. Now." Xavier nodded, his face grim. "Let's get out of here. We'll come up with a new plan." But as we turned to leave, we were surrounded by Mr. Anthonio's men. We were trapped.
Xavier's POV
We were surrounded, outnumbered, and outgunned. I knew we had to think fast. "Desmond, can you take care of them?" I whispered. Desmond nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "I've got this." With a swift motion, Desmond took down the first few men, his movements fluid and deadly. But there were too many of them. "Xavier, we need to get out of here!" Luna yelled, grabbing my arm. I nodded, and we made a run for it, bullets flying around us. We managed to escape, but I knew Mr. Anthonio wouldn't stop until he found us.
– Mr. Anthonio's POV
I watched as Xavier and his team escaped, my anger boiling over. "How did they get away?" I roared, turning to my men. One of them cowered. "I-I don't know, sir. They were too well-trained." I turned to Cassandra. "You said you had a plan. Where is it?" Cassandra's eyes flashed with anger. "They ruined everything. But I'll fix it. I'll make sure they pay." I nodded, a plan forming in my mind. "Let's get to work. We'll show them no mercy."
Luna's POV
We finally reached safety, gasping for breath. But I knew we couldn't stay hidden forever. "Xavier, we need to come up with a new plan," I said, my mind racing. Xavier nodded, his eyes locked on mine. "I know. But first, we need to take care of something." He pulled out his phone and dialed a number. "It's time to call in a favor." I raised an eyebrow, curious. Who was he calling? And what favor did he need?
Xavier's POV
I waited for the person on the other end to answer. Finally, a familiar voice spoke up. "Xavier, what do you need?" "It's time to reconnect, old friend," I said, a hint of a smile on my face. "I need your help to take down Mr. Anthonio once and for all." The person on the other end chuckled. "I've been waiting for this moment. What's the plan?" I outlined my strategy, and they agreed to meet us at the designated location.
Luna's POV
I watched as Xavier ended the call, a look of determination on his face. "Who was that?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me. Xavier smiled. "Someone who owes me a favor. Someone who can help us take down Mr. Anthonio." I raised an eyebrow. "And who might that be?" Xavier's smile grew wider. "Someone from my past. Someone who knows Mr. Anthonio's secrets."
Few hours later, the door burst open, and a figure walked in. It was a woman, with piercing green eyes and long, curly hair. "Xavier, it's been a long time," she said, a hint of a smile on her face. Xavier stood up, a look of surprise on his face. "Sophia. I didn't think you'd come."
Sophia shrugged. "I couldn't resist. Besides, I have a score to settle with Mr. Anthonio." I watched, intrigued, as Sophia and Xavier hugged. Who was this woman, and what secrets did she hold? I watched as Sophia and Xavier hugged, feeling a pang of curiosity. Who was this woman, and what was her connection to Xavier? Sophia turned to me, a warm smile on her face. "And you must be Luna. I've heard so much about you."
I smiled back, feeling a sense of ease. "Nice to meet you, Sophia. What brings you here?" Sophia's expression turned serious. "I'm here to help take down Mr. Anthonio. I have information that can bring him down." Xavier nodded, his eyes locked on Sophia. "What do you know?" Sophia took a deep breath. "I know about his illegal dealings, his connections to the underworld… and I know about his secret daughter."
My eyes widened in shock. "Secret daughter?" Sophia nodded. "Yes. A daughter he's kept hidden from the world. But I know where she is. And I can help you use that information to bring him down."
Xavier's POV
I looked at Sophia, a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I had known Sophia for years, but I had never known she had this information.
"Sophia, are you sure?" I asked, my voice low. Sophia nodded. "I'm positive. And I'm willing to help you use it to take down Mr. Anthonio once and for all." I nodded, a plan forming in my mind. "Let's do it." And with that, we set our plan in motion. We would take down Mr. Anthonio, no matter what it took.
