Chapter 24 - The Broken Past

Chapter 24

Tania POV

Tania takes a sip of her tea and looks around the room. "It's so good to be home. I've missed you all." Xavier smiles. "We've missed you too, sis. It's been… interesting here." Luna nods in agreement. "Drama, drama, drama." Mrs. Maria pats Andre's hand. "But we're managing. Andre's getting better, and we're taking care of each other." As we chat, I notice Andre stirring. I squeeze his hand gently. "Hey, Andre, welcome back. You've got a full house today." He smiles weakly.

– Tania's POV

I pull Xavier aside, concern etched on my face. "Xavier, how's everything going? You seem worried." Xavier sighs, rubbing his temples. "It's just Luna, Tania. She's not happy. She misses the peace and happiness we had at Saviors Medical Center, the happy moments with Andre… it's like she's lost her sense of security." I nod understandingly. "I get it. She's worried about Andre's health and the danger that's still out there." Xavier nods. "Yeah, and I don't know how to make her feel safe again. She's been distant, and I can tell she's struggling."

I put a hand on his shoulder. "You need to talk to her, Xavier. Be honest about your feelings and concerns. Maybe together, you can find a way to bring back some of that happiness and peace." Xavier nods, looking determined. "You're right, Tania. I'll talk to her tonight."

Just then, Luna walks out of Andre's room, looking lost in thought. Xavier goes to her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Hey, I need to talk to you about something," he says, his voice soft. Luna looks up at him, her eyes searching. "What is it, Xavier?" Xavier takes a deep breath. "I want to make you happy again, Luna. I want to bring back the peace and happiness we had… together."

Xavier's POV

I follow Luna to her room, concern etched on my face. She lays down on her bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. I sit down beside her, gently putting my hand on hers. "Luna, talk to me," I say softly. "What's going on? You've been distant, and I can tell something's bothering you." Luna sighs, turning her head away. "I just miss the way things were, Xavier. I miss the happiness and peace we had at Saviors Medical Center. I feel like we've lost that forever." I nod understandingly. "I know, me too. But we can't give up, Luna. We have to keep fighting for our happiness, for our family."

Luna looks at me, her eyes searching. "How, Xavier? How can we go back to the way things were?" I take a deep breath. "I don't know, but I want to try. I want to try with you, Luna. We can face whatever comes our way, together." Luna's expression softens, and she nods slightly. "Okay, Xavier. Let's try." I smile, relief washing over me. "Okay. I lean in, gently kissing her forehead. Luna closes her eyes, and I can see the tension in her body begin to ease.

Xavier's POV

I lean in closer, my face inches from Luna's. I can see the hesitation in her eyes, but I also see the desire. I gently brush a strand of hair behind her ear, my fingers grazing her skin. Luna's eyes flutter closed, and she takes a deep breath. I can feel the tension between us building, the air thick with emotion. Without another word, I lay down beside her, pulling her close. Our bodies touch, and I can feel the spark of electricity run through us. Luna's eyes open, and she looks up at me, her gaze searching. I smile softly, and she nods slightly. We don't need words. Our bodies speak for us, moving together in a gentle, intimate dance. As we lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, I feel a sense of peace wash over me. It's like we're back in that moment, at Saviors Medical Center, where nothing else mattered but us. Luna's eyes lock onto mine, and I see the love and desire there. I know in this moment, everything will be okay.

– Luna's POV

Xavier's touch ignites a fire within me, and I feel alive for the first time in years. It's been six long years since I've felt this way, since I've let anyone in. As he moves closer, his body pressed against mine, I feel a surge of desire. I want him, I need him, I love him. I wish he wouldn't stop, wouldn't pull away. I want to feel him, all of him, deep within me. Xavier's eyes lock onto mine, and I see the love and passion there. I know he feels it too, this connection, this spark.

I wrap my arms around him, pulling him closer, deeper. I don't want this moment to end, don't want to let go. As we move together, I feel like I'm home, like I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. I love him, I love him so much. The world around us fades away, and all that's left is us, our bodies, our love.

I don't want this to end, don't want to lose this feeling. I want to stay here, in this moment, forever.

Mrs. Maria's POV

I knock on Luna's door, but there's no answer. I try the handle, and it opens easily. I peek inside, expecting to see Luna alone, but what I see takes my breath away. Luna and Xavier are sleeping in each other's arms, a peaceful look on their faces. I can't help but smile, feeling a sense of joy and excitement. I've been waiting for this moment for so long, hoping they'd find their way back to each other. And now, seeing them like this, I know everything will be okay.

I quietly close the door, not wanting to disturb them. I lean against the wall, feeling a sense of satisfaction. My son and the woman he loves are finally together again. I remember the day Luna came into our lives, how she brought light and love into our world. And now, seeing her with Xavier, I know she's exactly where she belongs. I make my way back to the kitchen, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. Tonight, I'll let them be, let them enjoy this moment. Tomorrow, we'll face whatever comes our way, together.

Andre's POV

I try to smile, but it's hard when I'm stuck in this bed. Alessia, Grandma, and Auntie Tania are talking to me, trying to make me feel better. "Hey, buddy, how are you feeling today?" Alessia asks, her voice cheerful. I shrug, trying to play it cool. "I'm okay, I guess." Grandma Maria pats my hand. "That's good, sweetie. You're getting stronger every day." Auntie Tania smiles. "And we're all here for you, Andre. We love you so much." I look at them, feeling a little better. They're always trying to make me feel better, even when I'm stuck in this bed. "Can I have a story?" I ask, trying to sound cheerful. Alessia grins. "Of course, buddy! What kind of story do you want?" I think for a moment. "A story about Mommy and Daddy, when they were happy."

Grandma Maria and Auntie Tania exchange a look, but Alessia just smiles. "Okay, buddy. I'll make up a special story just for you."

– Andre's POV

Alessia clears her throat and starts speaking in a funny voice. "Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a beautiful princess named Luna. She had long, golden hair and sparkling blue eyes." I giggle, imagining my mom as a princess. "And there was a brave knight named Xavier, who rode a white horse and had a heart of gold." I smile, feeling happy.

"One day, they met in a magical forest and fell deeply in love. They danced under the stars and shared sweet kisses." Grandma Maria and Auntie Tania smile at each other, looking happy. "But then, a wicked dragon came and tried to separate them. However, Mommy Luna and Daddy Xavier were too strong, and they defeated the dragon together." I cheer, feeling proud of my parents. "And they lived happily ever after, in a beautiful castle with a lovely garden, surrounded by love and happiness."

Alessia smiles, finishing the story. "The end, buddy. Sleep tight!" I snuggle under the blankets, feeling happy and safe. I know my parents love me, and they'll always be there to protect me.

Alessia's POV

I smile, watching Andre's eyes droop as he drifts off to sleep. I gently stroke his hair, feeling a sense of warmth in my heart. As I look around the room, I notice Mrs. Maria and Tania exchanging a knowing glance. They're thinking about Luna and Xavier, and how they're finally together again. I feel a sense of joy for them, knowing how much they've been through. They deserve every moment of happiness.

I quietly get up from the bed and motion for Mrs. Maria and Tania to follow me outside. As we step into the hallway, Mrs. Maria turns to me and whispers, "Alessia, you're an angel. You have a way with Andre." I blush, feeling a sense of pride. "It's my pleasure, Mrs. Maria. I love taking care of him." Tania nods in agreement. "We're lucky to have you, Alessia. You're part of the family now." I smile, feeling grateful for their kindness. As we chat, I notice Luna and Xavier's door is still closed. I smile, knowing they're finally together, and that love has conquered all.
