Chapter 16 - THE BROKEN PAST

CHAPTER 16

Country C ( An open space where Xavier goes to confront Mr. Anthonio)

Xavier's POV

I couldn't believe what I had just discovered. Mr. Anthonio, the man who had been trying to kill me and my family, was the same man who had murdered my father. I felt a wave of anger wash over me as I confronted him. "You're the one who killed my father," I accused, my voice shaking with rage. Mr. Anthonio sneered at me. "Your father was a fool," he spat. "He thought he could stop me, but I showed him who's boss." I lunged at him, but Desmond caught me. "Xavier, no," he said firmly. "We need to get out of here, now." But I was beyond reason. I wanted to make Mr. Anthonio pay for what he had done.

Just then, an alarm blared. "What's going on?" I demanded. Simone, my younger brother, ran in. "Xavier, it's the company! Mr. Anthonio's men are attacking!" I knew I had to act fast. I couldn't let Mr. Anthonio destroy everything my father had built. "Simone, Tania, please you have to leave this country immediately," I ordered. "Go to country D with mother, Luna, Andre, and Jessica. You'll be safe there." Tania nodded, tears in her eyes. "But Xav, what about you?" I forced a smile. "I'll be fine. I have to stop Mr. Anthonio." As they left, I turned to Desmond. "Let's go." We fought our way through Mr. Anthonio's men, but I knew we were outnumbered.

Just as we were about to be overpowered, Dami arrived with backup. "Xavier, we have to get out of here," he shouted. I nodded, knowing we had to regroup. As we escaped, I couldn't help but think about my father's death. Mr. Anthonio's greed and jealousy had led him to murder. And now, he was after me and my family. But I was not going to let him win. I was going to fight back, no matter what it took. We made our way to a safe house, where we could regroup and come up with a plan.

As we caught our breath, I couldn't help but think about my family. Were they safe? Had Mr. Anthonio's men followed them Desmond noticed my concern. "Xavier, they're okay. They're with your mother in country D. They'll be protected." I nodded, feeling a small sense of relief. But then I thought about Simone and Tania. They were in danger because of me. I turned to Desmond. "We have to stop Mr. Anthonio. We can't let him hurt anyone else." Desmond nodded. "Agreed. But we need a plan. We can't just rush in without thinking." I knew he was right. We needed to be smart about this. Just then, Dami spoke up. "I think I can help with that. I've been digging into Mr. Anthonio's past. I think I know what motivates him."

I turned to him. "What is it?" Dami hesitated. "It's the president. He's been working with Mr. Anthonio all along. They want your father's company for themselves." I felt a wave of anger wash over me. The president? How could he be involved in this? But then it made sense. My father's company was valuable. And the president wanted it for himself. I knew what I had to do. I had to stop Mr. Anthonio and the president. No matter what it took. I took a deep breath, determination coursing through my veins. "Let's do it," I said, looking at Desmond and Dami. "Let's take them down."

Desmond nodded, a small smile on his face. "I've been waiting for this moment." Dami grinned. "Me too. Let's get to work." We spent the next few hours coming up with a plan, using all of our skills and resources to outsmart Mr. Anthonio and the president. As we worked, I couldn't help but think about my family. I was doing this for them, for their safety and protection. Finally, we were ready. We set our plan in motion, moving stealthily and quickly. We infiltrated the president's mansion, avoiding guards and security cameras.

I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as we made our way to the president's office. And then, we burst in, catching him and Mr. Anthonio off guard. "It's over," I said, my voice firm. "Your secrets are out. You're going down." The president sneered at me, but I could see the fear in his eyes. Mr. Anthonio snarled, pulling out a gun. But Desmond was quicker, disarming him and pinning him to the ground. It was done. We had won. As we left the mansion, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. My family was safe. Justice had been served. But I knew this was just the beginning. There would be more battles to fight, more challenges to overcome. Iwas ready. I would always protect my family, no matter what.

Country C

I turned to Desmond and Dami. "We need to gather evidence. We need to prove that the president is involved." Desmond nodded. "I can work on that. I have some contacts who can help us." Dami spoke up. "I can hack into the president's emails. See if I can find anything incriminating." I nodded. "Do it. We need all the evidence we can get." As we worked on gathering evidence, I couldn't help but think about Luna and my family. Were they safe? Was Mr. Anthonio's men still after them? I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the task at hand. We had to stop Mr. Anthonio and the president. We had to bring them to justice. After hours of work, Dami finally found something. "Xavier, I found an email. It's from the president to Mr. Anthonio. They're discussing the takeover of your father's company."

I felt a surge of anger. This was it. This was the evidence we needed. Desmond looked at me. "We have to take this to the authorities. We have to make sure they can't cover their tracks." I nodded. "Let's do it. Let's bring them down." As we left the safe house, I knew that this was it. This was the final showdown. We were going to take down Mr. Anthonio and the president, no matter what it.

At the Judiciary Headquarters..

As we arrived at the authorities' headquarters, we were met with a surprise. The president and Mr. Anthonio were already there, surrounded by their lawyers and security. But what happened next was even more shocking. The president's lawyer handed the authorities a document, and suddenly, the charges against them were dropped. "What's going on?" I demanded. "This can't be happening." Desmond's face was grim. "It seems they have friends in high places. They're getting away with it." I couldn't believe it. After all we had been through, they were just going to walk free? But then, Mr. Anthonio turned to me and smiled. "You'll never stop us, Xavier. We'll always be one step ahead." And with that, they walked out of the building, free men.

I was furious. I couldn't let them get away with this. But Desmond grabbed my arm. "Xavier, don't do anything rash. We'll find another way to bring them down." I nodded, knowing he was right. But I couldn't shake off the feeling of anger and frustration. As we left the headquarters, I knew that this wasn't over. I would find a way to bring them to justice, no matter what it took. But for now, they had escaped. And I was left with a burning desire for revenge.
