The Denatric family's announcement sent ripples throughout the household. A tournament among the rising stars would take place in one and a half years, with the winner claiming a coveted position within the family.
I am still at Rank 1 Middle Stage, knew he had to tread carefully. His growth had slowed to avoid suspicion, especially with the prophecy of the Demon King spreading like wildfire.
Drain...As mother urged him to rest. "Drian, why are you training? It's too late now, you should sleep." But he was determined to win, to get a permanent position in the family and become the strongest Demon.
With a fierce cry, Drian unleashed a Blue Flame Vertical Slash, shattering the ground and revealing a fiery chasm. His mother's eyes widened in shock. "Are you Rank 2 already?"
The next morning, the news spread like wildfire. Drian, a rising star, had reached Rank 2. Everyone cheered, but he knew the truth - there were still more competitors left, and the tournament was far from over.
As he basked in the attention, a muscular figure emerged from the crowd. Xavier, with his brown skin and black eyes, exuded an aura that made Drian's heart sink. "You look happy, Drian," Xavier said with a mocking smile. "But you're not stupid, I'll give you that. You've reached Rank 2 Initial Stage."
Drian's dreams felt like they were shattering like glass. He knew he had to push forward, to become stronger and claim his rightful place. But Xavier's presence threatened to destroy everything.
In the shadows, a figure watched with interest. Kane, the young boy with the mysterious system, had been quietly observing Drian's growth
The day of the tournament finally arrived, and the Denatric family's estate was buzzing with excitement. Drian, now revealed as a Rank 2 Demon, stood confidently among the seven competitors.
The first match began, pitting Elara, the Demon with wings like a butterfly and a poisonous stinger, against Gorthok, the hulking Demon with a massive warhammer. The crowd watched in awe as Elara dodged Gorthok's crushing blows with ease, striking back with her poisonous stinger. But Gorthok's sheer strength proved too much, and he emerged victorious.
Next up was Jax, the Demon with skin like dark steel, against Vex, the Demon with eyes that could petrify his foes. Jax's fists crushed Vex's defenses, but Vex's gaze turned Jax's own fists to stone. In the end, Jax's brute strength won out.
The third match saw Lila, the slender Demon, face off against Kael, a Demon with the ability to manipulate shadows. Lila's swift attacks were matched by Kael's cunning use of shadows, but Kael's powers ultimately proved too much for her.
As the tournament progressed, the battles grew more intense. Drian watched with interest, analyzing each competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
Finally, it was his turn. Drian's first match was against Xavier, the Strength demon. The crowd held its breath as the two Demons faced off !
Drian faced off against Xavier, his heart racing with anticipation. Xavier, the muscular Demon with a mocking smile, eyed him with interest.
"Let's see what you're made of, Drian," Xavier said, his voice dripping with condescension.
The match began, and Xavier unleashed a flurry of swift attacks, his massive fists glowing with a fierce, golden light. "Titan's Fury!" he bellowed, his powers fueled by his immense strength.
Drian countered with his own skills, summoning a wave of flames to wash over Xavier. "Inferno's Breath!" he cried, his hands weaving intricate patterns as he controlled the fire.
Xavier snarled, his eyes narrowing in frustration. "You think a little fire can stop me?" he sneered, charging forward with a powerful tackle. "Boulder Crash!"
Drian leapt backward, avoiding the attack by mere inches. But Xavier was relentless, his powers surging as he unleashed a devastating combination of attacks. "Mountain's Wrath!" he roared, his fists blazing with golden energy.
Drian stumbled backward, his defenses faltering under the onslaught. But he refused to yield, summoning a fierce determination to drive him forward.
"Blue Flame Strike!" he shouted, his energy manifesting as a blazing sword.
The two Demons clashed, their powers locked in a struggle that seemed to shake the very foundations of the estate. Xavier's strength was formidable, but Drian's fire was unpredictable and deadly.
As they fought, the air was filled with the acrid smell of smoke and sweat. The crowd watched in awe, their cheers and chants fueling the battle.
Xavier landed a solid punch, sending Drian crashing to the ground. But Drian refused to yield, summoning a wave of flames to engulf Xavier. "Firestorm!" he cried, his hands weaving intricate patterns as he controlled the inferno.
Xavier stumbled backward, his eyes widening in surprise. But he quickly regained his footing, his strength surging as he unleashed a devastating counterattack. "Earthquake!" he roared, his fists blazing with golden energy.
The ground shook, and Drian stumbled, his balance faltering. But he refused to fall, summoning a fierce determination to drive him forward.
"Phoenix's Blaze!" he shouted, his energy manifesting as a blazing vortex.
The two Demons clashed, their powers locked in a struggle that seemed to shake the very foundations of the estate. And when the dust settled, Drian stood victorious, his chest heaving with exhaustion. Xavier's mocking smile was gone, replaced by a grudging respect.
"You're stronger than I thought," Xavier said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Drian smiled, his vision still blurry. "I had to be."
The crowd erupted in cheers as Drian stumbled away from the battlefield, his arm raised in triumph. He had won, but at what cost? He knew he had pushed himself to
the limit, and the next match would be even more challenging...
