Chapter 44 - princess khillian attacks prince Eyrin

In the same inn, Princess Khillian slept in a chamber adjacent to Prince Eyrin's. Her eyes snapped open from her sleep as she sensed the presence of a demon.

She stretched out her hand, and her lute, which was resting in a corner, flew to her. She grasped it and sat up, her gaze fixed on the door.

Her door was unguarded. She never allowed her guards to stand watch while she slept, confident in her own strength, which surpassed theirs combined. Thus, they slept in another chamber.

Sitting in a lotus position, she held her lute close, her fingers poised on the strings, wondering if the demon was approaching her chamber. Her face was calm, and her hair remained neatly arranged despite having been in bed.

Sensing the demon's presence coming from the opposite direction, she glanced at her window. She rose slowly, walking to the window and pressing her back against the wall beside it.

After a while, she could no longer sense the demon approaching her closed window, but she still felt its presence nearby.

She waited, and then she heard a loud bang from the chamber next to hers, followed by hurried footsteps.

Quickly, she walked to her door and opened it, her hair swinging as she looked to the left.

She saw her neighbor's door open and walked over, standing in the doorway, her eyes narrowing as she took in the scene.

Prince Eyrin, Lourix, and Palov turned to face her from inside the room. She glanced at them, then looked around, her senses on high alert, but she could no longer detect the demon's presence.

"That was a demon, wasn't it?" she asked, her voice steady but with a hint of concern, her eyes scanning their faces for answers.

Prince Eyrin's gaze locked onto her, his brow furrowing as he tried to place the familiar, beautiful face. Recognition dawned on him, and he realized this was Khillian without her veil.

A slow grin spread across his face as he addressed her. "It was, but it's been taken care of. Demons are no issue for me," he said confidently, standing up and brushing off his clothes.

Princess Khillian raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his confidence. "You must be in a high phase, but even so, demons are still a challenge, even for someone in the sovereign phase.

I'm sure demons are also a problem for the gods and immortals; otherwise, there wouldn't be any battles between the demon realm and the realms of the immortals and gods," she said, crossing her arms and tilting her head slightly.

Prince Eyrin walked towards her, his grin widening. "Who knows what I am? I'm not in a very high phase, but since I was born, I've had a barrier that blocks demons from hurting me. I realized it when I was eleven. It's something to brag about," he said, chuckling slightly and spreading his arms wide as if to show off.

Princess Khillian was not amused. She remembered hearing, when she was younger in the brothel, about someone with such a barrier. This person was from the family of Vexars and was the first prince, Eyrin.

She glared at him as he looked at her.

"By the way, even though a demon was here , what will use the lute for?" He asked curiously as he walked closer, making the distance between them , very little.

"Mr, what is your name?" She asked , so she could clear her suspicions. If it was him, she had a plan to kill him on the spot.

"What is yours?" Prince eryin asked even though he clearly knew her name since Tamil state.

"I asked first" princess khillian asked without a smile on her face. She was dead serious.

They stared at each other and there was tension between them.

Prince eyrin wondered if he should tell her a lie about his name or not. He was curious as he saw her change of expression.

He stared at her back , he wasn't intimidated. He wanted to lean closer to her ear but then princess khillian blocked him with her hand immediately.

"what are you doing?" She asked, still looking serious."

Prince eyrin leaned out and looked at her eyes," I'm Eyrin."

Immediately he said his name,a gust of power came out from her body, her hair flew like she was possessed.

The power hit eyrin before he could react ,causing him to fly backward and then his body flew backward and destroyed the wall ,sending him flying outside.

Palov and lourix parried their swords to fight back ,but without raising a finger, they were sent flying at opposite directions of the chamber ,destroying the walls and entering the other rooms.one was hers and one was another person's.

Everything was done swiftly,in a blink of an eye.she leaped outside .

Prince Eyrin swung himself through the air before descending gracefully to the ground, his hair and robes flowing behind him. He landed with a steady stance, maintaining his balance. Almost immediately, Princess Khillian was on the ground with him. He sensed her powerful aura and realized she was in a higher phase.

He scoffed as he looked at her. "I wonder why my name has made the damsel turn into an evil spirit."

He reached for his sword but realized he wasn't carrying it.

Princess Khillian's night robes and long raven hair billowed in the night wind. She demanded, "You, what is your last name?"

"I see you have a problem with someone of the same name. Is he an ex-lover?" he asked aloud, despite knowing she was serious.

"Give me an answer, or I'll be your grim reaper, Eyrin," she said calmly but with a powerful undertone.

He wondered if she was an enemy of his, Eyrin Vexar, but decided this wasn't the time to find out. He chose to lie about his last name.

"I'm Eyrin Arnin, a young merchant and martial artist from Bacain!" Eyrin yelled.

Princess Khillian suppressed her power and looked calm. She hurriedly walked over to Eyrin.

"Forgive me, I thought you were the Eyrin I know," she said in an apologetic tone, looking down.
