Moved by compassion, he reached out and gently grasped her jade-like hand, casting a comforting and encouraging gaze upon her.
As their hands joined, Qin Piao's eyes also smiled, her rosy-cheeked face became animated, and her features exuded a strong desire.
Luo Yang once again brought his mouth close to her ear and whispered, "Later, I'll teach you martial arts."
At his words, Qin Piao pursed her lips in a smile, nodding her head happily.
After some thought, Luo Yang decided to punish Tang Jie, to teach him that there were consequences for offending someone so rashly. He asked Qin Piao if she had anything like small stones. She said she had and got up to find some for him—they were glass beads, originally meant to be decorations in potted plants, each about the size of a thumb.
Luo Yang grabbed a handful of glass beads, then quietly returned to the window. Seeing that Tang Jie was still standing out in the open and hadn't left, he knew he could use his True Qi to flick the beads with his fingers as if using a slingshot.
A flick of his middle finger and a bead whizzed out with a swish.
Thump!
"Ouch!"
Tang Jie cried out in pain, then immediately raised his head and cursed, "Motherf* …"
Thump! Thump!
"Ouch! Ouch! I'll get you..."
Tang Jie's head was bloodied and bleeding as he screamed and panicked, running away into the distance.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!"
The cries of agony grew fainter, and Tang Jie's figure quickly disappeared into the night.
Seeing Luo Yang teaching Tang Jie a lesson, Qin Piao smiled contentedly.
"Thank you for teaching that bastard a lesson. If only you were here every night," Qin Piao said wishfully.
"Sister Piao, don't be afraid. I'll teach you martial arts so you'll never be afraid of those village bullies again. Come on, I have an anti-wolf technique for you." Luo Yang comforted her.
The bedroom wasn't spacious enough for practicing martial arts, so they moved to another room.
The neighboring room had no bed, only some sundries, and a few square meters of space to move around.
"Sister Piao, pretend I'm Tang Jie and attack me," Luo Yang said.
"Okay!"
Qin Piao began to perform her martial arts, showing off her fists and kicks.
Under normal circumstances, Luo Yang's combat abilities were comparable to those of Tang Jie; if Qin Piao could beat him, she could also defeat Tang Jie.
After a few rounds, Qin Piao was gasping for breath, clearly lacking stamina.
Seeing her sweating profusely, Luo Yang apologized, "Sister Piao, I'm sorry for making you have to take another bath."
Her cheeks flushed, Qin Piao chuckled sweetly and said, "Hurry up and practice with me; I want to defeat you."
And so, they entangled once again.
Luo Yang did not use his full strength, as he could have easily overpowered Qin Piao; he was simply accompanying her in play.
After some time, Qin Piao wiped the sweat from her forehead and said in a soft voice, "I'm going to take a bath first, then I'll cook noodles for you. Wait for me, okay? Why don't you watch some TV downstairs in the meantime?"
Luo Yang declined politely and prepared to leave. Qin Piao said she still wanted to talk with him and asked him to sit for a while.
"Sister Piao, it's getting late; I should head back now."
"What's the rush? It's still early. Sit for a bit; I'm going to take a quick bath. I want to talk to you about something." She flirtatiously brushed a few strands of sweat-soaked hair from her forehead, smiling seductively, then added softly, "Why don't you sit on my bed and play with your phone?"
The bathroom was on the ground floor, so it wouldn't be appropriate for Luo Yang to stay on the second floor while Qin Piao took her bath.
"Sister Piao, I'll wait for you on the first floor," Luo Yang said.
"As you like."
Qin Piao went back to her bedroom to find clean clothes, then came downstairs. She poured Luo Yang a cup of boiled water before going to bathe.
The surroundings were very quiet, and the sound of water pattering in the bathroom was clearly audible.
Luo Yang carried the cup of water around the first floor, looking here and there, and when he passed the bathroom, the silhouette behind the frosted glass became visible. Realizing he was quite thirsty, he hurriedly drank a few sips of water, glanced for a bit longer, felt even thirstier, and had to refill his cup.
At the height of his emotional turmoil, another curious thought surfaced: "Is such a beautiful person really a Husband Cursing?"
With no answer coming to mind, he unknowingly drank all the water in the cup again.
Suddenly, he heard Qin Piao call out softly, "Cowboy."
Luo Yang approached the bathroom door, gazing at the vague figure inside, and replied, "Sister Piao, what's wrong?"
"I forgot to bring a towel with me, can you get one for me?" she asked.
"Of course."
"It's hanging in the bathroom."
Turning on the light in the washroom, Luo Yang went in and indeed saw a pink towel hanging on the rack. He took it along with the clothes rack and returned to the bathroom door, where he saw a crack in the frosted glass door open slightly.
"Sister Piao, here you go."
"Thanks."
She reached out to take the towel but kept the bathroom door slightly ajar.
