Chapter 11 - Forest and monster.

Evan stood in the big training hall of the mansion, his heart pounding with excitement. Today was another day of intense training, and he was ready to push his limits.

Luna, his mysterious magic teacher, stood before him with her usual stern expression. Her long, silver hair flowed like a river of moonlight, and her piercing blue eyes seemed to see right through him.

"Focus, Evan," she commanded, her voice firm. "You need to channel your energy more precisely."

Evan nodded, concentrating on the spell she had taught him. He extended his hand, feeling the familiar surge of magic within him. Ice crystals began to form in the air, swirling around his fingers.

"Good," Luna said, her tone softening just a bit. "Now, try to control the shape."

As Evan focused, he couldn't help but smile at Luna. Despite her strict demeanor, he knew she cared deeply about his progress. Luna's cheeks turned a faint shade of pink, and she quickly looked away.

"Stop smiling and concentrate!" she snapped, though her voice lacked its usual edge.

Evan chuckled to himself, finding her tsundere nature endearing. He continued to practice, shaping the ice into intricate patterns. Luna watched him closely, her eyes betraying a hint of pride.

After his magic training, Evan moved to the courtyard where his father, Adrian awaited. As he was a towering figure, his presence commanding respect and admiration.

"Ready for some combat training, son?" Adrian asked, a proud smile on his face.

"Yes, Father," Evan replied, gripping his training sword.

They began their sparring session, the sound of clashing swords echoing through the courtyard. Adrian's movements were swift and precise, a testament to his years of experience. Evan did his best to keep up, learning from each strike and parry.

"Remember, Evan," Adrian said between blows, "strength and skill are important, but so is strategy. Always think ahead."

Evan nodded, absorbing his father's wisdom. The training was grueling, but he relished every moment. It was a chance to bond with his father and prove his worth.

Several days passed, filled with rigorous training sessions. One morning, Luna approached Evan with a new plan.

"We're going to the forest today," she announced. "It's time to test your skills in a real environment."

Evan's eyes lit up with excitement. The forest was a place of mystery and magic, perfect for honing his abilities. They set off together, the path winding through ancient trees and shimmering streams.

As they trained in the forest, Evan faced new challenges. The natural obstacles forced him to adapt and think creatively. Luna's guidance was invaluable, her tsundere nature showing through in her mix of harsh criticism and subtle encouragement.

At one point, Evan managed to cast a particularly difficult spell, and he turned to Luna with a triumphant smile. Her face turned bright red, and she quickly turned away, muttering something about "improving focus and calm down."

Just as they were about to leave the forest, a rustling sound caught their attention. Emerging from the underbrush were several low-rank magic beasts, their eyes glowing with a predatory light. These creatures were known for their aggression and magical abilities, making them formidable opponents.

"Evan, be careful," Luna warned, her voice tense. "These beasts may be low-rank, but they can still be dangerous."

Evan nodded, his heart racing with a mix of excitement and nerves. He summoned his magic, creating a barrier of ice to protect them from the beasts' initial attack. The creatures snarled and lunged, their claws and fangs glinting in the dappled sunlight.

Evan countered with a blast of freezing wind, slowing the beasts' movements. Luna joined the fight, her own magic weaving through the air in a dazzling display. Together, they battled the magic beasts, their movements synchronized and precise.

One by one, the beasts fell to Evan's skill and Luna's guidance. He felt a surge of pride as he stood victorious, his chest heaving with exertion. Luna watched him with a rare smile, her eyes filled with approval.

"Well done, Evan," she said softly. but just than a chilling roar echoed through the trees. Evan and Luna turned to see a massive, fearsome monster emerging from the shadows. Its eyes glowed with a menacing light, and its claws were sharp as daggers.

"Evan, stay back!" Luna shouted, her voice filled with urgency. "This is a high-rank monster!"

But Evan stepped forward, determination in his eyes. "I can do this, Master Luna. I have to."

Luna hesitated, then nodded. "Alright, but be careful."

The monster lunged at them, its powerful limbs crashing through the underbrush. Evan summoned his magic, creating a barrier of ice to protect them. The monster's claws shattered the ice, but Evan quickly countered with a blast of freezing wind.

Luna joined the fight, her own magic weaving through the air in a dazzling display. Together, they battled the monster, their movements synchronized and precise. Evan's training had prepared him well, and he fought with a newfound confidence.

After a fierce struggle, Evan managed to land a decisive blow, his magic piercing the monster's hide. With a final roar, the creature collapsed, defeated.

Evan stood panting, his heart racing. Luna approached him, her eyes filled with pride and relief.

"You did it, Evan," she said softly. "You've come so far."

Evan smiled, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment. "Why did the monster come out of the forest, Master Luna?"

Luna frowned, her expression thoughtful. "It's unusual for a high-rank monster to venture this close to the edge of the forest. There must be something disturbing the balance of the magical creatures here."

Evan nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Should we report this to the Guild?"

"Yes," Luna replied. "I'll report this incident to the Magic Guild. They need to investigate why the monsters are behaving this way. In the meantime, we should be cautious."

With the forest now quiet, Evan and Luna decided it was time to head back home. The journey back was filled with a sense of accomplishment and reflection on the day's events. As they walked, Luna spoke softly.

"You did exceptionally well today, Evan. Both in defeating the magic beasts and the high-rank monster. Your progress is remarkable."

Evan smiled, feeling a warm sense of pride. "Thank you, Luna. I couldn't have done it without your guidance." They continued their journey, the path leading them back to the mansion. As they approached, the familiar sight of the mansion brought a sense of comfort and belonging.
