Chapter 35 - Side story 5: The Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

The day had finally arrived for the much-anticipated bachelor and bachelorette parties. As the wedding date approached, Samuel and Tatiana's friends decided it was time for one last hurrah before they tied the knot. The energy was high, and both parties promised to be memorable—each in their own unique way.

Tatiana's Bachelorette Party

Tatiana was buzzing with excitement as she arrived at the private rooftop lounge where Clara and Maya had planned her bachelorette party. The city skyline glittered in the distance, and the soft glow of string lights created an enchanting atmosphere. Her friends had gone all out, and Tatiana couldn't wait to see what they had in store.

Clara greeted her with a playful wink. "You ready for a night you'll never forget?"

Maya handed Tatiana a sash that read "Bride-to-Be" in sparkling letters. "We've got everything planned—dancing, games, and maybe even a few surprises."

As the night unfolded, Tatiana found herself surrounded by laughter and love. Her friends had organized a series of fun games, including a quiz about Samuel. For every correct answer, Tatiana earned a sip of champagne. For every wrong answer, she had to perform a dare. It wasn't long before she was up on the makeshift dance floor, leading her friends in a dance-off that had everyone cheering.

Later in the evening, Clara and Maya gathered everyone around for a heartfelt toast. Clara spoke first, her voice full of emotion. "Tatiana, we've known you for years, and seeing you so happy with Samuel warms our hearts. You deserve all the love in the world, and we know Samuel will give it to you."

Maya nodded, her eyes glistening. "You've always been the one to light up a room, and now you've found someone who lights up your life. We couldn't be happier for you."

Tatiana wiped away a tear, overwhelmed by the love and support of her friends. She knew this night would be one of her most cherished memories.

Samuel's Bachelor Party

Meanwhile, across town, Samuel was walking into a completely different scene. His best friend and fellow engineer, Jake, had organized a low-key bachelor party at a rustic cabin by the lake. It was exactly what Samuel had wanted—no wild parties, just a night with his closest friends, enjoying good food, drinks, and conversation.

As the night began, Samuel found himself surrounded by the people who had been with him through thick and thin. The air was filled with the smell of grilling steaks, and the sound of laughter echoed through the woods. The guys reminisced about old times, shared embarrassing stories, and teased Samuel about his upcoming wedding.

"Remember that time you tried to impress Tatiana by explaining quantum physics at a party?" Jake laughed, raising his beer. "She had no idea what you were talking about, but she still smiled and nodded."

Samuel chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah, I quickly learned that not everyone finds engineering jargon as fascinating as I do."

As the night went on, the conversation shifted to more serious topics. Samuel's friends began offering him advice about marriage, each sharing their own experiences and wisdom.

"Marriage is all about balance," Jake said, leaning back in his chair. "It's about being there for each other, even when things get tough. And trust me, things will get tough. But you've got to remember why you fell in love in the first place."

Another friend, Liam, chimed in. "Communication is key, man. Don't bottle things up. If something's bothering you, talk to her. And listen when she talks to you."

Samuel nodded, taking it all in. He appreciated the advice and felt reassured knowing that his friends had his back. As the fire crackled and the night grew darker, he realized just how lucky he was to have such a strong support system.

A Shared Moment

As the bachelor and bachelorette parties came to an end, both Samuel and Tatiana found themselves thinking about each other. Even though they were miles apart, they were connected by the love they shared and the excitement of what was to come.

Tatiana, now back in her apartment, picked up her phone and sent Samuel a quick text: "Miss you. Hope you're having a great time!"

Samuel, sitting by the fire, smiled when he saw her message. He replied: "Miss you too. Can't wait to see you tomorrow. One step closer to forever."

As they both drifted off to sleep that night, Samuel and Tatiana knew that their journey together was just beginning. The parties had been a celebration of the past and present, but their future was what excited them most.

And soon, they would face it together as husband and wife.
