"My apologies, Ms. Vanessa, but you were planning to give those additional Devil Fruits to Fisk, weren't you?"

Having figured everything out, Rosh confidently addressed Vanessa.

Vanessa was taken aback, unable to hide her astonishment. Could the shopkeeper read minds? How else could he have guessed her intentions so accurately?

Indeed, that was precisely her plan. However, since Rosh had already deduced it, Vanessa saw no reason to deny it. To her, there was nothing shady about the matter—she was acting openly.

"Yes, Shopkeeper. I do plan to give them to Wilson. He needs these Devil Fruits more than I do," Vanessa admitted with a nod.

"My apologies, Ms. Vanessa, but the store has a strict limit on the number of Devil Fruits each person can control. This rule exists to prevent any individual from controlling too many Devil Fruits. No matter the method, a person can only have control over three Devil Fruits. And, as it happens, Fisk has already reached that limit. So I'm afraid I can't sell you anymore." Rosh explained directly.

Vanessa was taken aback. She hadn't expected things to turn out this way. While Fisk had mentioned the limit on Devil Fruits to Vanessa, she hadn't paid it much mind or thought deeply about it. After all, many products have purchasing limits in the real world, but those are typically just marketing tactics with no real significance.

In most cases, as long as you're willing to pay, you can still buy as much as you want.

Vanessa hadn't anticipated that the limit on Devil Fruits would have such a serious and literal implication—an actual limit that even money couldn't bypass.

"So that's how it is? I apologize, Shopkeeper. I didn't think it through," Vanessa said, finally understanding the situation. Rather than being angry at this seemingly strict policy, she quickly apologized.

Rosh might appear to be just a polite young man, but anyone who could sell something as miraculous as a Devil Fruit was undoubtedly someone not to be trifled with. Although it was an innocent mistake, Vanessa still felt anxious about inadvertently violating the store's rules.

"Shopkeeper, Vanessa didn't mean any offense..."

Even Fisk spoke up, attempting to clarify the situation on Vanessa's behalf.

"There's no need to worry. I hadn't made this rule clear beforehand either," Rosh reassured them with a wave of his hand.

Seeing that Rosh truly didn't seem to mind, both Vanessa and Fisk finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, Fisk couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment. He had indeed been planning to have some of his trusted subordinates buy additional Devil Fruits. But now it was clear that such a strategy wouldn't work. The store owner had made it clear that no one would be allowed to control an excessive number of Devil Fruits, no matter the method.

With that, the transaction was over. As usual, Rosh asked Vanessa—or, more accurately, Vanessa Marianna—if she would like to join the group chat and added her after receiving her consent.

Shopkeeper: "@everyone, we have a new member in the group. Let's give her a warm welcome!"

Vanessa Marianna: "Hello, everyone. I'm the newest Devil Fruit user. I'm thrilled to join this family."

Since there was already another Vanessa in the group, the newly added Vanessa included her last name to distinguish herself.

Wade Wilson: "Another new member? And a lady, no less! Do you know the rules, newbie? You need to post a photo when you join. Measurements too! But if you're too ugly, maybe don't bother."

Rosh noticed Fisk's facial muscles twitching furiously as if he was barely holding back his anger.

Wilson Fisk: "Mr. Wade, Ms. Vanessa is my fiancée, and I take great offense to any rude or disrespectful remarks. Consider this a formal warning—watch your mouth!"

Vanessa: "Sorry, Fisk. Wade just has a foul mouth. He probably just wanted to say hi to Vanessa... Wait, Vanessa?"

Wade Wilson: "Vanessa? Vanessa? Fisk, my wife, has the exact same name as your fiancée! So maybe we should skip the photo. If I accidentally think about your fiancée while holding my wife, that's basically cheating."

Wade Wilson: "Darling, don't worry. My love for you is more steadfast than diamonds. Even if this other Vanessa is really gorgeous, I won't cheat on you."

Fisk's eyebrow twitched again.

Rosh was left speechless. He was really starting to regret bringing Wade into the group. The guy's mouth was a menace. If he hadn't had an almost invincible healing factor and superhuman combat skills, he'd have been killed a thousand times by now.

*Ding!*

"Wade Wilson has been muted by the group owner for two hours!"

To maintain a good environment in the group, Rosh didn't hesitate to mute Deadpool.

Shopkeeper: "Everyone, please watch your language in the group. @Wade Wilson, you'll be muted for a month if this happens again."

Vanessa: "Well done, Shopkeeper!"

Vanessa Marianna: "Thank you, Shopkeeper."

Wilson Fisk: "Thank you, Shopkeeper."

Helen was likely busy, as she had yet to show up during Vanessa Marianna's introduction. That wasn't unusual, but Wesley, the user of the Bullet-Bullet Fruit, hadn't said a word either, which mildly surprised Rosh. After all, this was his boss's fiancée—wasn't that worth a greeting?

What Rosh couldn't have imagined was that Wesley would never speak again.

But Rosh only wondered about it briefly before dismissing the thought. Everyone had times when they were too busy to reply.

With that, he turned his attention back to more pressing matters and updated the group announcement.

"Group Announcement:

To all members, please be advised that some of you may need help understanding the store's rule limiting the purchase of Devil Fruits. Therefore, I am providing this clarification.

The store limits the ownership or control of Devil Fruits. A single purchaser can control a maximum of three Devil Fruits. This limit applies regardless of whether the purchase is made directly, through a proxy, as a gift, or in any other way. Please keep this in mind!"

The serious and formal tone of the announcement immediately caught everyone's attention.

Vanessa: "Understood!"

Vanessa Marianna: "Understood!"

Wilson Fisk: "Understood!"

Helen Cho: "Understood!"

Helen, who had been lurking the whole time, promptly responded this time.

As for Wesley, there was still no response.

But Rosh didn't dwell on that either. Everyone has their moments of being too busy, after all. Maybe Wesley was really preoccupied.
