Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Ten Thousand Volts

East Port of Starling City, in front of a run-down factory, the atmosphere was tense as two groups of armed men faced off. Frank Bettinelli and Anthony Vensa were in the middle of a heated and increasingly unpleasant discussion about a potential "cooperation."

"How long has it been?" Su Sheng asked Helena impatiently from inside a nearby car parked behind Frank's side.

Helena thought for a moment. "Twenty minutes?"

"It's been twenty minutes, and they still haven't started shooting? Since when did gangsters become so civilized and polite?" Su Sheng couldn't help but complain.

Helena sneered. "Frank doesn't want people to see that he brought you along. He had to alter his plan to use you to deal with Anthony Vensa, which is why it's taking so long."

"I'm not interested in waiting around," Su Sheng said as he opened the car door and led Helena out, walking straight toward the confrontation.

As they approached, the crowd parted to let them through, and Frank felt a deep sense of unease as he heard their footsteps behind him.

"Is that your daughter?"

"Hahahahaha."

"Frank, is this why you dared to come after me all of a sudden? You're so desperate for help that you handed over your own daughter as a dog? What a joke! But what can one man do alone? Hahaha!" Anthony Vensa, despite his initial surprise at the sight of Helena, quickly recognized her and deduced the reason behind Frank's newfound audacity.

His laughter was echoed by his men, who sneered and mocked Frank without restraint.

Frank's face turned livid with anger. He raised his gun, ready to silence Vensa himself, but was stopped by a sudden low moan from behind him.

"Enough nonsense!" Su Sheng muttered with a frown, releasing the rope that held Helena. His entire body suddenly erupted with crackling electric energy.

A brilliant blue current surged around him, crackling and snapping.

Unlimited superposition, hundreds of times.

Ten million volts!

In an instant, the sky seemed to be consumed by a blinding blue light as Su Sheng pointed toward the heavens, sending a bolt of electricity roaring into the sky.

Silence fell, deathly and absolute.

The gangsters who had been sneering moments ago now stared in stunned disbelief at the electrified figure before them, as if the world had frozen in place.

Drip, drip. Raindrops began to fall from the sky, their soft patter breaking the spell. The men, shocked back to reality, gazed at Su Sheng in horror.

"Fall," Su Sheng commanded, pointing at the factory behind Anthony Vensa and his men.

BOOM!

A deafening thunderclap rang out as a bolt of lightning crashed down from the sky, striking the factory with terrifying precision. The roof was obliterated in an instant, and a chain of explosions followed, sending flames shooting into the air.

The force of the explosion, combined with the electricity from the lightning, created a massive shockwave that rippled through the area.

For a long moment, all was chaos.

When the rain finally stopped, and the brilliant lightning faded away, the factory was reduced to little more than smoldering debris. The shockwave had left everyone, both Anthony Vensa's and Frank's men, sprawled on the ground. Some twitched uncontrollably, foaming at the mouth, while others had been killed outright by the electric surge.

Only Su Sheng stood tall, unmoved by the destruction around him.

"I might have overdone it," Su Sheng muttered as he approached Frank, who lay on the ground, looking dazed. "Is he dead? Get up—we still have business to finish."

Frank, panicking, shook his head. It took him a moment to realize that Su Sheng was on his side.

Realizing this, Frank struggled to his feet and slowly walked over to where Anthony Vensa lay, trembling with fear. Though Vensa desperately wanted to flee, his body refused to obey. Frank raised his gun, a look of triumph replacing the anger from earlier. "It's not shameful to sell your dignity. What's shameful is not getting a good price for it."

"And that," he said, his voice thick with satisfaction, "is what one man can do!"

BANG!

The gunshot echoed through the air as Anthony Vensa's lifeless body slumped to the ground.

Frank, filled with pride, was about to say something more, but his words died on his lips as he glanced at the factory, now nearly razed to the ground. The scale of the destruction left him speechless.

Su Sheng, uninterested in the aftermath, grabbed Helena and dragged her away, her groans of discomfort echoing behind them.

They got into the car, and Su Sheng started the engine without another word, leaving the scene behind.

As they drove, Helena turned to Su Sheng and asked quietly, "Was that your strongest power?"

"My strongest? No," Su Sheng replied with a chuckle. "If I used my strongest, I might destroy the earth."

In theory, Su Sheng's power had no upper limit. If he kept increasing it, even a simple punch could obliterate the planet.

Not long after Su Sheng and Helena left, chaos erupted at the East Port.

Police cars and fire trucks swarmed the scene, and Frank found himself being questioned by the police just moments after disposing of Anthony Vensa's body. He recounted the entire incident, carefully omitting the part where Su Sheng summoned lightning from the heavens and personally shot Vensa.

Would the police believe him? Ha!

There was no evidence, and who would believe something as unbelievable as summoning lightning unless they saw it with their own eyes?
