Paradise Island, also known as Themyscira, is said to have been created by Zeus, the king of the Olympian gods. The island is surrounded by a magical protective field, making it undetectable by most modern technology. From afar, it seems like nothing but an endless ocean. As one draws closer, a thick mist engulfs the area, causing most to lose their way. Only the bravest or most foolish dare to venture deeper.
The Waverider's small escape ship pierced through this dense fog, and suddenly, the landscape transformed. The mist cleared, revealing a sky of brilliant blue. The water below sparkled under layers of fluffy white clouds, and a majestic island came into view—Paradise Island.
High cliffs rose above a lush green environment, and from afar, the island's ancient architectural wonders could be seen.
"This is Paradise Island; it's beautiful," Sara Lance commented as they landed on the island's golden shore.
As the hatch opened, both Sara Lance and Su Sheng stepped out onto the sand.
Su Sheng chuckled with satisfaction as his feet sank into the sand. "I'm starting to like this place. Are you sure you want to leave me here?"
"I know you're capable," Sara said, her voice serious, "but the Amazons aren't ordinary. Don't cause trouble for me or yourself. Find a place to lay low, and I'll come back for you soon." Sara had been briefed about the dangers of Paradise Island and was genuinely concerned for Su Sheng's safety.
This was Paradise Island, after all.
Su Sheng shrugged nonchalantly, seeing Sara's stern expression. "Don't say I didn't warn you. Don't regret it later."
Sara smiled, turning to leave.
As the small escape ship took off and disappeared into the distance, Su Sheng turned his attention to the island and grinned.
He always thought "Paradise Island" was a fitting name. For the Amazons, it was a paradise hidden from the world. For men, it was a paradise of a different sort—an entire island inhabited only by women.
"Should I shout like some middle-aged hero, 'Paradise Island, I'm here!'?" Su Sheng mused. But he quickly dropped the idea as he noticed the Amazons.
Perched atop cliffs several meters high, a group of Amazons appeared. They wore helmets and leather armor, armed with bows and arrows, their muscular frames exuding strength and discipline. These women were strong, lithe, and vigilant, without an ounce of unnecessary fat.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Several Amazons leaped from the cliffs, shooting arrows mid-air. Their arrows embedded into the cliffside, and they used the attached ropes to rappel down smoothly. Once on the ground, they nocked their arrows again, aiming directly at Su Sheng.
The whole process took only ten seconds—precise and efficient.
Sharp arrows were pointed at him, ready to fire at any moment. But Su Sheng didn't panic. He merely watched them with interest, his dark eyes twinkling.
"Hi, how are you?" Su Sheng greeted them with a bright smile.
The Amazons, however, remained fierce and silent, staring him down. Su Sheng pouted slightly; they were really impolite.
Da-da-da, da-da-da.
The sound of hooves echoed from a distance as several horses galloped toward him, stopping in front of him in an instant.
"Queen, what should we do with this intruder?" an Amazon asked the woman astride a white horse, clearly the leader.
This woman had long blond hair, a forehead guard signifying power and status, and wore leather armor that left her shoulders exposed. A fur cloak hung over her sturdy frame, and her muscular thighs were visible, covered by dark gold boots that extended above her knees.
This was Hippolyta, the Amazon Queen and mother of Wonder Woman, Diana.
"Is he alone?" Hippolyta asked.
"Only him."
"Take him back for questioning," Hippolyta ordered, turning her horse to leave as an Amazon moved to escort Su Sheng away.
"Can I ride your horse?" Su Sheng suddenly asked, catching everyone off guard.
Ride the Queen's horse?
The Amazons were furious. How dare this intruder make such a request!
Hippolyta turned back, frowning at Su Sheng. "Intruder, are you mocking me?"
Su Sheng smiled kindly. "I just want to know what it's like to ride a horse. You know, it's not easy to find a good one outside, and yours is the best here. I may not be a prince or a holy man, but I still really want to ride a white horse."
"Seize him," Hippolyta commanded angrily. Though she wanted to punish this blatant disrespect, she needed to interrogate him first.
The Amazons rushed at Su Sheng with fierce determination.
"Legends team, I warned you not to regret this," Su Sheng muttered to himself as he crouched down, seemingly ready to surrender.
Was he giving up?
The Amazons, who had been furious moments before, couldn't help but sneer. They had expected more from someone who dared to challenge their queen, but it seemed he was a coward after all.
But Su Sheng wasn't done yet.
He tapped into his power—amplifying it twenty times over—and slammed his fist into the ground.
Boom!
The beach sank under the force of the impact, sending a shockwave that knocked the nearby Amazons off their feet. The horses neighed in panic, and Hippolyta and the other riders were thrown from their mounts.
Su Sheng slowly stood up, retracting his fist as he looked at the stunned and frightened Amazons.
"Why so serious? I just wanted to ride your horse, not you!" he said with a sigh.
