Having arrived at his final conclusion on what to do, Vin decided to set his plans into motion, creating a new faction in the Inner Court, one need about ten members, before they could be approved.
And he knew just the perfect people to be his first recruits, some old friends.
But the truth was, he had no idea where to find them, the Inner Court was really expansive, and all the deciples either lived in the caverns on the lower hills, or the small mountains.
But the people who lived on those mountains were the deciples that belonged to a faction, and a pretty good one at that.
There were a lot of factions on the Inner Court, and the higher your rankings, the better your residences could be. And that was simply because these mountains contained lots of Spiritual Energy.
So the better the mountain, and the higher up you can occupy, the more Spiritual Energy you can access.
But mountains weren't the only places with good Spiritual Energy, there were also valleys with very intense Spiritual Energies.
The ten largest and best mountains and valley's were occupied by the the ten Earth Lords of the Inner Court.
And these people were also the leaders of the ten leading factions. Their factions ranks also corresponded to their ranks on the Earth Rankings.
Vin was staring at the mission board, and lost in thoughts still thinking about how he was going to contact his old friends when.....
"Vin??!!!" a surprised voice exclaimed behind him. "Oh gosh, it's you right?!" the same voice sounded again.
Vin turned around, staring face to face with about six people, three of which were quite familiar faces. In fact they were just the people he was thinking about right now.
"Raya, Marco, Fourna, it's been a while" Vin greeted with a warm smile on his face. Vin also turned and nodded at the three other people in their company and they returned the courtesy.
"Wow, it really is you" Fourna said with the same surprised voice.
"What're you doing here Vin?" Marco asked. "Well, it's probably because I'm an Inner deciple now I guess" Vin replied sarcastically. While Marco rolled his eyes at his reply.
"How long have you been here in the Inner Court?" Raya asked.
"Two weeks now" Vin replied "And you didn't think to find us in two whole weeks" Fourna complained in displeasure.
"Well I would have, if I knew how to, this place is like a labyrinth, I have to be careful not to even get lost." Vin shrugged in reply.
"Well it's fine now, are you going on a mission?" Raya asked. "Well I was going to, still haven't figured out which one yet" Vin replied as he turned back to the mission board.
"Well if you still haven't decided, why don't you join us" Raya suggested "But before that let me introduce you, this here is Cassius, he's Vandolf and she's Vanessa, guys this is Vin"
Raya pointed at the other three people as he introduced them one by one, Cassius was the tallest among them and he had curly black hair that stopped just below his ears.
His cobalt blue eyes added more to his charm, and he also looked to be the strongest of them.
Vandolf on the other hand was a bit shorter, but he looked more muscler, like he was a body cultivator or something. His shiny bald head and the scar that ran along his cheek made him looked scary and serious.
Vanessa seemed like the cold quiet type, she had light brown hair with pair of eyes, of the same color. The aura emanating from her seemed to want to keep everyone at bay.
As for their cultivation, Vin noticed that the three he was familiar with had broken through one stage each.
So combined with their three friends their cultivation were as so, Raya and Cassius were both in the third stage of the Spirit Sea Realm, while the rest of them were in the second stage.
But Cassius was still the strongest as he was on the cusp of breaking through to the fourth stage.
While Vin was assessing the trio, Raya was giving a brief recount of how they'd met him and a rundown of their mission at the time.
"It's nice to meet you!" Cassius said as he went for a hand shake, Vandolf just nodded while Vanessa remained expressionless.
"So what Mission are you guys going on to?" Vin asked after the introductions were over.
Raya's face turned serious at this moment "There was a call for help in a town, about a hundred kilometers away from here, this town is called Neon and apparently, there are a group of demonic beasts running rampant against the village." Raya stated.
"Well why do you look so serious then, if its just a couple of beasts, it shouldn't be a problem to deal with them right?" Vin asked perplexed.
"That's because it isn't a couple of beasts Vin, there are dozens of them, and if it's what we think it is, something like this could turn into a perilous calamity" Marco answered this time.
"And what kind of calamity are we talking about here?" Vin asked.
"A beast tide!"
Vin was silent at this time when he heard this as he needed a moment to process it.
The after a while he looked at them asked "Are we the only ones going on this mission?"
"Unfortunately no?, this mission was originally only intended for the higher factions to handle, we only got noticed if it due to a slight luck, naturally it's not limited to only those in factions, anyone could go but...." Fourna started to answer.
"But you gain more points when you're in a faction" Vin said completing her sentence.
"Yes, and unfortunately, we're only six of us so we couldn't form a faction if our own, and besides one must be at the fifth stage at the very least before they could even form a faction of their own, and none of us are at that stage yet." Raya said.
Vin looked at them, and thought for a while before a faint smile crept on his face "So if one of us is at the fifth, it wouldn't be hard to form a faction?" he asked.
"Well not only that, they must also have at least ten thousand points, before his faction can be approved." Raya replied "Wait why do you ask?" he asked when he saw the faint smile on Vin's face.
"Well what do Y'all think of forming a faction with me, you don't have to worry about the points, I'll take care of it" Vin said with a faint smile.
"Wait you know someone who's at the fifth stage?" Marco asked in surprise.
"Yes!"
"Who is he?"
"You're looking at him!"
"Huh?"
"What!!"
"You're kidding right?"
All three of them exclaimed at the same time.
"You say you're at the fifth stage!?" Cassius asked at this time.
"Indeed I am" Vin replied as he turned to him. "But that's impossible right?, weren't you only in the ninth stage of the Body Refining Realm a few months ago?" Cassius asked in a faint disdain.
He and the other two didn't seem to believe him as they stared at him on mock disdain.
Vin could understand them as he knew not everyone could advance their cultivation as fast as him within a few months without a lucky encounter, and that's the excuse he used.
"I had a lucky encounter in a mission a few months back" Vin stated.
Seeing that they still didn't believe him, Vin decided to prove it, as he released a faint wisp of his aura.
A very thick Spritual Pressure immediately appeared in the mission hall, although it was only for a second, everyone weaker than him almost fell to their knees.
And the ones the pressure was directed at, felt it the most, as their legs almost gave in to the suppression.
"Did you say you're only in the fifth stage?" Vandolf asked, speaking for the first time since they met.
There was disbelief, and even fright written on their eyes.
"I think we should leave now" Vin said as he could feel the eyes of everyone in the mission hall glaring daggers at their group.
They all nodded as they left the hall immediately, when they had gotten a safe distance away, they all stopped.
"Now then, do you believe me?" Vin asked. "Yeah but, what did you mean when you said we shouldn't worry about the point, you can't possibly tell me they you accumulated ten thousand points within two weeks right" Marco said.
He was still in shock about how this freak of nature had surpassed him within a few months. It totally upturned his understanding of the cultivation world.
"Well clearing a few high ranking missions solo could net you a whole lots of points, it wasn't that hard" Vin shrugged his shoulders.
"So you're the mission maniac" Cassius said.
"Mission maniac??" Vin tilted his confusion.
"Well there was rumors going on around that there was someone clearing missions like crazy, hence the nickname" he replied.
Vin only shrugged his shoulders before saying "Since we're not against forming a faction with me, should we go recruit a few more...."
