Moselia had already gotten everything ready for school, she woke up, brushed and took a bath.
She wore a pair of casual white t shirt and a pair of royal blue rompers, styling her hair in dutch french braids and wore. Pair of white sneakers
She grabbed her bag and went downstairs the large mansion for breakfast
As Moselia descended the grand staircase, the soft clinking of dishes and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. She entered the opulent dining room, where her parents, Regina and Edward, already sat at the table, sipping their coffee and scrolling through their phones.
Her mother, Regina, looked up and smiled, "Good morning, sweetie! You look lovely today."
Moselia smiled back, "Thanks, Mom. Morning."
Her father, Edward, grunted a greeting, his eyes still fixed on his phone.
The table was set with a sumptuous breakfast spread: scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, toasted croissants, and fresh fruit. Moselia took her seat and began serving herself.
The atmosphere was tense, with an undercurrent of unease. Moselia couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
As they ate, Regina made small talk, asking Moselia about her plans for the day. Moselia responded politely, but her mind kept wandering back to Zayn and their conversation the night before.
Just as they finished breakfast, the sound of a car pulling up outside broke the silence. Edward's eyes flicked towards the window, his expression darkening.
"Who could that be?" Regina wondered aloud.
Edward pushed back his chair, "I'll go see."
As he left the room, Moselia felt a shiver run down her spine. Something was definitely off.
She was also curious, and couldn't shake off the feeling that someone, someone must have known about her conversations with Zayn, especially about the order and the fact that they were everywhere.
Even her parents seemed unrecognizable to her.
She restrained herself so as to not arouse suspicion and hope that the day will go smoothly at school.
Time seemed to move slow as her dad approached the door.
As her dad approached the door, Moselia's heart raced with anticipation. She could sense a shift in the atmosphere, a subtle change in the air. Her parents exchanged a glance, their eyes communicating a silent message.
Edward opened the door, revealing a tall, imposing figure dressed in a sleek black suit. His face was chiseled, his eyes piercing, and his presence exuded an aura of authority.
"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson," he said, his voice firm and commanding. "I trust you're doing well."
Regina smiled, but her eyes betrayed a hint of unease. "Good morning, Agent Ross. What brings you here today?"
Agent Ross's gaze swept the room, his eyes lingering on Moselia before returning to her parents. "I'm afraid I have some matters to discuss with you. May I come in?"
Edward hesitated, his expression guarded, before stepping aside to allow Agent Ross to enter.
Moselia's mind raced with questions. Who was Agent Ross? What did he want? And why did her parents seem so nervous? She felt like she was trapped in a web of secrets, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that her life was about to change forever.
She stared at the man full front
Wondering just who the hell is he
"Why did my parents call him agent Ross? Could he also be part of the order? What are they doing here?"
I thought.
As Agent Ross entered the room, his eyes locked onto Moselia's, and he flashed a brief, calculating smile. She felt a shiver run down her spine as he began to circle around her, his gaze scrutinizing her every move.
"Ah, Moselia, I've heard a lot about you," he said, his voice dripping with an unsettling familiarity. "You're quite the bright and curious one, aren't you?"
Moselia's instincts screamed at her to be cautious, to reveal nothing. She forced a neutral expression, trying to appear nonchalant despite her racing heart.
"I try my best," she replied, her voice steady.
Agent Ross chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I'm sure you do. Well, I'm here to discuss some... matters with your parents. But don't worry, it's all just routine."
Moselia's mind rebelled against his dismissive tone. She knew better. This was no routine visit. Agent Ross was here for a reason, and she was determined to uncover what that reason was.
As he turned to face her parents, Moselia caught a glimpse of a small, silver pin on his lapel. A pin bearing the same symbol she had seen on Zayn's phone, the same symbol of the Order. Her heart skipped a beat. Her suspicions were confirmed. Agent Ross was indeed part of the Order. And now, he was in her home, closing in on her.
"could it be they know of the phone conversation I had with Zayn?" I thought.
"Mom, dad, who is he? What does he want?? Is it work?" I asked so Innocently.
Regina's eyes darted nervously towards Agent Ross, before she forced a reassuring smile onto her face. "Oh, sweetie, Agent Ross is just an old friend from... work. He's here to discuss some... business matters with your father."
Edward's expression remained stern, his eyes fixed on Agent Ross. "Yes, Moselia, it's nothing to worry about. Just some... corporate discussions."
Agent Ross's gaze never left Moselia's face, his eyes boring into hers as if trying to read her thoughts. "Yes, Moselia, your parents and I have some... mutual interests to discuss. Nothing that concerns you, dear."
Moselia's mind raced with doubts. Their explanations seemed rehearsed, and Agent Ross's presence still felt ominous. She couldn't shake off the feeling that they were hiding something from her.
"I see," she said, her voice laced with innocence. "Well, I should get going then. I don't want to be late for school."
As she stood up, Agent Ross's eyes flicked towards her bag, his gaze lingering on it for a moment before returning to her face. Moselia's heart skipped a beat. Did he know about the phone? Was he here to confront her about Zayn?
She turned around and walked towards the car for the driver for take her to school.
After she got in she felt reassuringly safe,
But it seemed like no one in this house could be trusted again, as if they were all strangers.
She looked at her phone and hesitated before texting Zayn.
"Zayn, something happened to my phone so I'll be getting a new one, don't worry okay, don't contact me unless I do first or you might not reach me"
After reading it again, she felt reassured and sent it.
As soon as the message was sent, Moselia felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had warned Zayn, and now she could focus on getting through the day without worrying about Agent Ross or her parents' suspicious behavior.
The driver, Mr. Jenkins, greeted her with a warm smile as he pulled out of the driveway. "Good morning, Moselia! How are you today?"
Moselia forced a smile, trying to appear normal. "I'm good, thanks, Mr. Jenkins. Just a bit tired."
Mr. Jenkins nodded sympathetically. "Well, try to get some rest today, okay? You've got a big day ahead of you."
As they drove to school, Moselia's mind wandered back to Agent Ross and her parents' strange behavior. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, that her whole world was turning upside down.
When they arrived at school, Moselia grabbed her bag and stepped out of the car, taking a deep breath as she scanned the bustling courtyard. She spotted her friends, Rachel and Mike, waving at her from across the way.
For a moment, Moselia considered telling them about Agent Ross and her parents' strange behavior, but something held her back. She wasn't sure who to trust anymore.
"Hey, guys!" she said, forcing a bright smile as she joined them. "What's up?"
Rachel and Mike chatted excitedly about their weekend plans, and Moselia tried to focus on the conversation, but her mind kept drifting back to Zayn and the mysterious Agent Ross.
She checked her phone to see if Zayn had texted back to her
As Moselia checked her phone, she saw that Zayn had responded with a simple, yet reassuring message: "Okay, be safe. I'll wait to hear from you."
She felt a surge of relief and gratitude towards Zayn. At least she knew she could trust him, no matter what was going on with her parents and Agent Ross.
Just as she was about to put her phone away, a text from an unknown number popped up: "We know what you're doing, Moselia. Be careful."
Moselia's heart skipped a beat as she stared at the message, her mind racing with questions. Who was this? How did they know about her conversations with Zayn? And what did they want from her?
She quickly looked around, feeling a sense of unease and paranoia wash over her. Was she being watched? Was her phone being monitored?
With a growing sense of fear, Moselia deleted the message and tried to focus on her day, but the words lingered in her mind, leaving her feeling unsettled and vulnerable.
As Moselia sat in class, trying to appear interested in the graduation discussions, her mind was racing with thoughts of Zayn, Agent Ross, and the mysterious text message. She knew she had to take action, to protect herself and Zayn.
The idea that popped into her head was to create a new, secure line of communication with Zayn. She would buy a new phone and sim card, but this time, she would use a burner phone, something that couldn't be traced back to her.
She would also use a secure messaging app, one that offered end-to-end encryption and anonymity. That way, she and Zayn could communicate safely, without fear of being monitored or intercepted.
Moselia felt a sense of determination and purpose. She would take control of the situation, and she would protect herself and Zayn, no matter what it took.
As the class continued, Moselia's mind wandered back to the plan, thinking about the details, and how she would put it into action. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was ready for the challenge.
When the bell rang, signaling the end of class, Moselia gathered her things and headed out, her mind focused on the task ahead. She would get the new phone and sim card, and then she would contact Zayn, to let him know about the new secure line of communication.
She felt a sense of hope, knowing that she was taking steps to protect herself and Zayn. She was determined to stay one step ahead of Agent Ross and whoever was behind the mysterious text message.
When she arrives home
She saw her parents in the sitting room waiting for her
She wondered what could be up this time
As Moselia entered the sitting room, she was met with an eerie silence. Her parents, Regina and Edward, sat on the couch, their faces stern and serious. Agent Ross stood by the window, his eyes fixed on her.
"Ah, Moselia, dear, we need to talk," Regina said, her voice laced with an unsettling sweetness.
Moselia's instincts screamed at her to be cautious. She felt like she was walking into a trap.
"What's going on?" Moselia asked, trying to sound nonchalant despite the growing unease in her chest.
Edward leaned forward, his eyes narrowing. "We know you've been in contact with Zayn. We know about the phone calls, the texts... everything."
Moselia's heart skipped a beat. How did they know? She had been so careful.
Agent Ross stepped forward, his eyes glinting with a sinister intensity. "You see, Moselia, you're in grave danger. Zayn is not who you think he is. He's using you, manipulating you for his own purposes."
Moselia's mind reeled as she tried to process the accusations. She knew Zayn was hiding something, but she couldn't believe he would use her.
"I don't believe you," Moselia said, trying to sound firm despite the doubt creeping into her mind.
Regina's expression turned cold. "We have proof, Moselia. And soon, you'll see the truth for yourself."
"show me"
I said to them but still refused to believe them anyway but I kept that part to myself.
Agent Ross smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "Very well, Moselia. Let's show you the truth."
He nodded to Edward, who stood up and walked over to a nearby table. On the table, there was a folder filled with documents and photographs.
Edward opened the folder and pulled out a few photographs. "These were taken last night, outside Zayn's apartment. You can see him meeting with some... unsavory characters."
Moselia's eyes widened as she took in the images. Zayn was indeed meeting with some rough looking men, but she couldn't see anything that necessarily incriminated him.
"What does this prove?" Moselia asked, trying to sound skeptical.
Agent Ross leaned forward, his eyes glinting with intensity. "It proves that Zayn is involved with some very dangerous people, Moselia. People who will stop at nothing to get what they want."
Regina stood up, her expression stern. "And we have reason to believe that Zayn is using you to get to us, to our business dealings."
Moselia felt a surge of anger and disbelief. She couldn't believe that her parents were trying to manipulate her like this.
"I don't believe you," Moselia said, trying to sound firm. "Zayn would never use me like that."
Agent Ross smiled again. "We'll see about that, Moselia. We'll see about that."
She still didn't understand
"Didn't they said they knew about the texts and conversations, which business dealing?? Isn't that fake?? Which dangerous people? Aren't you clearly the bad and dangerous people???"she thought
"Can't you make the lie a bit less obvious if you're trying to decieve me" she thought.
Moselia's mind was racing with questions and doubts. She couldn't believe the absurdity of her parents' and Agent Ross's accusations. It was clear to her that they were trying to manipulate her, to turn her against Zayn.
She thought about speaking out, about confronting them with her doubts and suspicions. But something held her back. Maybe it was fear, or maybe it was a desire to play along, to see how far they would take this charade.
So she remained silent, her expression neutral, as she continued to listen to their outlandish claims. But inside, she was seething with anger and frustration. She knew that she had to be careful, that she had to play their game until she could find a way to escape, to expose their lies and reveal the truth.
As she looked at her parents and Agent Ross, Moselia felt a sense of determination. She would not be fooled, she would not be manipulated. She would uncover the truth, no matter what it took.
"okay"
She perfunctorily said.
Moselia's response was lukewarm, her tone conveying a sense of resignation rather than agreement. She didn't want to give them the satisfaction of thinking they had won her over.
Agent Ross's smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly recovered. "Good, Moselia. We're glad you're seeing things our way. We'll do everything we can to protect you from Zayn and his associates."
Regina and Edward exchanged a glance, their expressions triumphant. They thought they had succeeded in manipulating Moselia, but she was just playing along.
"Let's go get some dinner," Edward said, standing up. "We can discuss the details of our plan to keep you safe."
Moselia nodded, still feeling like a prisoner in her own home. She knew she had to bide her time, wait for the perfect moment to make her move and uncover the truth.
Regina smiled, her eyes gleaming with a false warmth. "No, dear, you look fine. Let's just go downstairs and have dinner. We can discuss everything later."
Moselia nodded, her expression neutral. She knew she had to keep up the charade, at least for now.
As they walked downstairs, Moselia's mind was racing with thoughts of Zayn and the mysterious text message. She knew she had to find a way to contact him, to warn him about Agent Ross and her parents' suspicions.
But for now, she had to play along, pretend to be the obedient daughter. She knew it was a delicate balancing act, but she was determined to keep her secrets safe until the time was right to reveal them.
As they entered the dining room, Moselia's eyes scanned the table, taking in the elaborate spread. Her parents were trying to make this seem like a normal family dinner, but she knew better.
She took her seat, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she was in for a long night of pretending, but she was ready. Bring it on, she thought to herself.
She ate in silence
Wondering what they'll say next that'll try blowing their cover, I mean aren't this guys supposed to be smart or something
How can they be so gullible...
Moselia's eyes darted between her parents and Agent Ross, studying their expressions as they chatted and laughed, trying to maintain a facade of normalcy. She couldn't believe how transparent their attempts were, how easily she could see through their lies.
Don't they know I'm not buying this? she thought, her mind racing with amusement and annoyance. They're supposed to be professionals, experts in manipulation and deception. But their efforts were clumsy, almost laughable.
As she continued to eat in silence, Moselia wondered what their next move would be. Would they try to pry more information out of her? Would they reveal more about their own plans?
She was determined to stay one step ahead, to keep her secrets safe and her wits about her. Bring it on, she thought again, her eyes locked on Agent Ross's smug face. I'm ready for whatever you've got.
"Moselia what happened to you phone, I tried calling, not going " her mom suddenly said.
Moselia's heart skipped a beat as she hesitated for a moment, trying to come up with a convincing explanation. She had destroyed her phone earlier, but she couldn't reveal that to her parents.
"Uh, I think I might have dropped it in the pool," she said, trying to sound nonchalant. "I was getting out of the water and I think it slipped out of my hand. I haven't had a chance to get it fixed yet."
Regina raised an eyebrow. "The pool? But you haven't been swimming lately, have you?"
Moselia shrugged. "No, I know. I was just... um... trying it out. You know, to see if the water was warm enough."
Agent Ross leaned forward, his eyes narrowing. "Moselia, we know you've been in contact with Zayn. Don't try to hide it. We just want to know what's going on."
Moselia felt a surge of anger at his accusatory tone, but she kept her cool. "I told you, I don't know what you're talking about," she said, trying to sound innocent.
"and besides if I have really been in contact with Zayn, wouldn't it be best as my phone is no more? Or would you still rather I had it?
Look Mr or agent Ross, don't talk to me like that, you work with my parents not me, curt that tone now!"
Her eyes chilled as the air around her froze and she sounded menacing and evil.
The room fell silent, the tension palpable. Agent Ross's eyes widened, taken aback by Moselia's sudden assertiveness. Regina and Edward exchanged a nervous glance, their faces pale.
"Ah, Moselia, dear, no need to get defensive," Regina said, trying to placate her.
But Moselia's gaze remained fixed on Agent Ross, her eyes flashing with a fierce intensity. "I mean it," she hissed, her voice low and menacing. "Don't talk to me like I'm some kind of suspect. I'm their daughter, not yours."
Agent Ross cleared his throat, his expression neutral, but a hint of unease flickered in his eyes. "Apologies, Moselia. I didn't mean to overstep."
The air remained charged, the silence thick with unspoken threats. Moselia's parents and Agent Ross seemed to be reevaluating their approach, realizing they had underestimated her.
For a moment, Moselia felt a thrill of power, a sense of control. But she knew it was fleeting, that she had to keep her guard up. She leaned back in her chair, her expression still icy, waiting for their next move.
"it's good you understand, have I made myself clear? Now if you don't mind, I have assignments to get to and would like to be excused, can I?"
Agent Ross nodded, his expression still cautious. "Yes, Moselia, you've made yourself clear. You may be excused."
Regina and Edward exchanged a glance, then nodded in unison. "Yes, dear, go ahead and get to your assignments. We'll... discuss this further later."
Moselia nodded, her expression still chilled, but a hint of triumph flickered in her eyes. She had asserted her boundaries, and they had backed down.
She pushed back her chair and stood up, her movements deliberate and confident. "Good. I'll be in my room, studying."
With that, she turned and walked away, leaving the tense atmosphere behind. As she climbed the stairs, she felt a sense of satisfaction. She had taken control, if only for a moment.
But she knew it was far from over. She would have to stay vigilant, keep her secrets safe, and wait for the perfect moment to strike back.
