Desdra blinked. She wanted to fetch a cartoon of milk since the only thing she and Jared her been able to manage for the past two days now with some cheap snacks she got as gifts at work. If she didn't get that milk, they would be forced to have just ordinary empty cereal for dinner.
"Well, it's good to see you, is it Eva?" She pronounced her name wrong on purpose.
"Oh no, it's Eve. Very easy to remember." Eve smiled, ready to go on. "What is going on with your card by the way?"
"Oh, just some fault that this lady over here can't handle. Do you happen to have some spare change? I don't have my purse with me so I'm left with this atm card." Desdra said, pretending like she was rich and fancy.
"Oh really? No. We don't carry those around. You know, spare changes?" Eve replied back.
