Chapter 2 - 2

The party was quite loud, as I could observe from outside, which I didn't quite like or need at this point because I was still trying to wrap my head around the incident that just occurred with the elders during my ritual.

"I have no idea why we are just standing outside, let's head in," Wendy cheered.

"I have a really bad feeling about tonight, Wen. Maybe we could do this birthday thing later today?" I declared nervously.

"And let Jason waste his money?" She scoffed, "If it's your Aunt Kira you're worried about, it's high time you started standing up to her in matters like this. You're 21!" She announced, "They can't place you in bubble wrap for the rest of your life, love."

I sighed, trying to ignore the bothered feeling in my stomach but I couldn't. She was every bit right; I didn't need to let my Aunt run me around like a child. I was an adult now, old enough for everything the world could throw at me, but I was still not very settled about this party.

Regardless, I smiled, "Here goes nothing," I sighed, my words making a wide smile appear on her cheerful face as she grabbed my hand to drag me towards the large, two-story club

At the ear-bleeding entrance, Wendy showed two invitation cards to the bouncer before placing a small pin on my dress. It was barely able to hold with how thin this material was against my body but once she accomplished that, the bouncer smiled at me, warmly wishing me a happy birthday before letting me in.

As daring as Jason was, he placed my picture as a banner on an entire wall so everyone could see. I was mortified as my name was announced as the 'birthday girl', a bright spotlight shining down on my face as I stood, face flushed at the entrance as everyone cheered.

Everyone began to sing the happy birthday song while Jason walked up to me, handsome as ever but still wasn't what I'd prefer. He took my hand in his annoyingly moist one and placed an irritating kiss on it while the crowd cooed as if we were still in high school.

They must've mistaken my face red from anger for butterflies in my stomach.

"Happy birthday, Ahvi," he murmured in my ear, his voice irking my soul, "I did all this for you," he attempted a whisper but the music was making it hard to hear him.

"How thoughtful," I muttered sarcastically, forcing a fake smile, "I should go get a drink," I excused myself as I saw his lips separate in an attempt to say something else.

"I can't believe that man did all this for you when you wouldn't even give him the light of day," a familiar voice said scornfully behind me at the bar.

I jumped, placing my hand fearfully on my chest as I turned around, "What happened to talking to people normally and not scaring the literally shit out of them to talk?" I yelled irritably.

"Someone's in a mood," Matthew irritably added.

"Why are you even here? Aren't you supposed to be back at the coven mansion helping Kira?" I questioned after we ordered drinks.

"After the scene you caused up there?" he scoffed, an impressed glimmer in his eyes and tone, "Mom didn't even notice I was gone and this is just a coincidence finding you here. All I knew was a few of my guys were going to be at the VIP lounge and some chic was Gavin a birthday party here," he shrugged.

I rolled my eyes, "Anyway," I digressed, "How I wish I was throwing this shit in the VIP lounge, anywhere but this sweaty ass place," I complained.

"I could get you in but you have to give me a bit," he assured me.

"Please, I would appreciate it," I muttered exasperatedly. I watched him leave with a look of disapproval as I ordered more shots to replace the feeling of irritation I felt.

Wendy had told me before that she wouldn't be able to stay with me, which I didn't like the idea but at least she informed me. Now, I was alone in the club, with no one around me but drinks while I wasn't in the mood to mingle as my mind was horribly bothered.

I took shit after shot till my social battery spiked up and I began to see myself in the second person. I got out of my seat with a drink in my hands, barely able to control the directions where my legs were taking me.

I went to the dancefloor, swaying my hips gently to the songs blasting through my eardrums, dancing sensually with a particular girl as well till she had to leave.

I wondered at the back of my mind why Matthew was taking so long, but I brushed it off, taking more sips of the drink in my hand, which most likely wasn't the best choice.

Some guy placed his hands on my hips and rocked against me but I didn't complain. His hands began to trace up my bare arms, whispering fulsome words in my ears and that's where I had enough of it. I waved my hand, remembering a spell and within seconds, he stopped what he was doing, wincing in pain as he held his head.

I walked away calmly from the scene, concluding he was just being dramatic, till I came face to face with Matthew, and he didn't look too impressed, "Did you see what I did there?" I stated a bit too loudly, feeling rather proud of myself with a wide smile on my face.

"You're rather drunk already," he nodded, "Come, let's get you to the VIP; you're less vulnerable there, at least."

"Woah man! You can't just take the birthday girl out of her own party!" Jason butted in suddenly.

Matthew glanced down at me with a raised brow and judgy look, most likely thinking I was with him. He said nothing, turning back to Jason for him to fall at Matthew's glance, "We will talk about your odd choices when you're sober," he uttered disappointedly.

He took my arm, leading me gently up the staircase to the VIP section of the club. It was as if the noise from downstairs had no effect here; the music here wasn't too loud and wasn't designed for crazy teenagers who'll throw up all over the floors by the end of the night.

I slouched on the oddly comfortable sofa between Matthew and some other guy who was holding a large blunt in between his fingers, "Why hello gorgeous," he announced flirtatiously, his blood-shot eyes scanning me with lust.

"Hey man, that's my sister," Matthew announced.

"Well your sister is hella fine, mate," he stated, staring at me with a smile plastered on his face, ignoring Matthew's fuming.

"It's fine, Matthew," I assured him, finding the zooted stranger rather enticing suddenly, "Ahvi," I introduced.

"Beautiful name," he commended, "the name's Devin," he took my hand into his for a soft handshake, letting his hand linger with mine as he kept his gaze on me.

"Oh, thank you," I smiled, pulling a stray hair to the back of my ear.

"Do you want to try one?" He asked, handing me the blunt.

"No, please. I can't explain to Mom why you are high and drunk after just turning 21," he announced bitterly.

"Excuse me," I smiled nervously, turning towards Matthew with a stern glare, "Are you so desperate to embarrass me tonight?" I muttered through gritted teeth.

"Ahvi, whether you like it or not, you're not necessarily in your right mind as it is. I don't want you making choices you'd end up regretting," he warned.

"I'm fine, now just back off," I warned, turning back towards Devin with a sorry smile, "My apologies."

"My man can be a little uptight sometimes, I understand," he said calmly, adjusting closer to me so much that our thighs met each other. He kept his gaze on me, and Matthew was obviously stressed beside me, but I paid no attention to him.

"Typical Matthew," I smiled, and he did too, his eyes seemingly hypnotizing me, or it was the drinks, most likely the latter. He leaned over, pulling me closer with his arm around my waist towards him for a kiss. His lips tasted of whatever it was he was smoking and how smoke would taste but I couldn't take my lips away.

I was much too tired to pull away, he wasn't even at all who I would fond over but that yearning feeling of concupiscence caused by the drinks had taken over me, "Shall we head inside?" he asked.

"No!" Matthew announced behind us.

"Yes," I answered, ignoring his calls behind us as he led me to a room on the other side of the building. Excited, I followed with a smile as his hand rested on my ass, periodically kissing me roughly.

He finally got us a room after all the nasty glares the secretary had given us, pulling me into the room with his rough kisses and hands around my waist, his tall frame towering over me and hands nearly as large as my waist.

"You're so hot, Ahvi," he murmured in the quiet room, the muffled noise from the music was the only sound we heard alongside the sound of our tongues smacking against each other.

His words were like a sudden wake-up call to me, reminding me that I didn't want this. What was I doing? Why was I here? I was coming down from that high and realised there was a massive guy in a locked room with me about to take off my clothes because of how rough he was kissing me.

I felt my skin flush, my heart falling to my stomach as I became suddenly anxious and he must've noticed when I stopped kissing back, "Is there a problem?" He asked confusedly.

"I don't think I want to do this anymore, I want to go back outside," I stuttered nervously.

He had an uncomfortable smile on his face, trying to still lay his hands on me while I was trying to move away from him, "You can't be serious, after getting me excited?" His voice turned a bit more stern.

"My apologies, but I don't want to do this anymore," I said nervously, attempting to stand up, but he restrained my hands to the back, trying to force himself on me. None of my spells seemed to be working until his eyes flashed a bright red, signifying he was a witch as well.

"Help!" I yelled repeatedly as he tore the top part of my dress, one of my breasts out, a manic smile displayed on his face.

The smile dropped almost instantly as I continued to struggle, gathering the strength to kick him in the shin and dart for the door but the key wasn't there anymore. He pulled me back towards him as my banging on the door was futile.

I wailed in pain as I accepted my inevitable faith. I wanted to throw up, I was in hot tears, I wanted to go home, but I already chased Matthew away.

The struggle continued, and I tried to resist till a loud knock echoed through the room, "Open up, please," a man's muffled voice called out.

"Someone's in here, mate," Devin announced, giving me a warning glare as he shut my mouth with his large hand.

"Oh really? My bad," the man called out; his fading footsteps seemed to drag all my hope and happiness with them as I realized I had to face what I had seemingly put myself into.

"You're going to be very quiet and take it, love," he smirked, pushing my numb body on the bed while hot tears streamed down my face.

I was thankful he had it me on the bed because less than a minute later, when he was still struggling with his large pants, the door was kicked down by a large silver wolf, gorgeous with large green eyes.

I quickly covered up myself with the little piece of cloth that remained, watching the wolf mame Devin till there was nothing left of him. I don't know why I couldn't move, it was dumb of me to think the wolf wouldn't come for me as well but it only looked at me when Matthew had rushed hurriedly towards me, picking me u and taking me out of the room.

Its eyes seemed to gleam when it saw me and my heart began to ache in a way it had never before, so trying I didn't understand ran through me

while I stared at that wolf and as Matthew carried me out, I could swear I heard it speak.

"Mate," it inaudibly growled.
