Thick black sludge erupted from the girl's mouth, like a living viscous liquid, leaping towards the wall with shocking speed. Ryan was momentarily stunned, his eyebrows raised as he observed the strange phenomenon.
His reflexes kicked in immediately. Ryan quickly created ice to stop the black sludge. However, the substance moved nimbly, evading every ice attack Ryan conjured.
A furrow appeared on Ryan's brow; this was no ordinary object. Without wasting time, Ryan continuously created ice, trying to freeze the black sludge before the creature could escape.
The black sludge crawled with terrifying speed, searching for a gap to flee. Ryan saw this and, without hesitation, quickly opened the window. With one swift and decisive motion, Ryan created a large layer of ice, stopping the black sludge in an instant, freezing the creature in place.
The black sludge finally froze into a chunk of ice. Ryan smiled in satisfaction, raising his hand, and with one swift motion, shattered the ice into tiny particles. The ice particles fell slowly, sparkling in the sunlight streaming through the window, before disappearing without a trace. Ryan sighed in relief, feeling successful in overcoming the strange threat.
With calm yet cautious steps, Ryan approached the girl who was still lying on the floor. His gaze was serious, filled with curiosity and determination. The girl, now weak and frightened, could only lower her head, as if avoiding Ryan's piercing stare.
Ryan sat on the bed, his eyes never leaving the girl. He waited, allowing the silence between them to add pressure.
"So..." Ryan finally spoke, his voice cold yet firm. "Can you explain what is really happening?"
The question hung in the air, heavy and pressing. The girl became very tense, her whole body trembling slightly. However, after what felt like an eternity, she finally gathered her courage to speak.
"About that..." her voice trembled, barely audible, as she lowered her head deeper, trying to find the right words.

(POV Rosseline)
My name is Rosseline, but you can call me Rosse. I am a news journalist, often traversing various places to report on significant events happening. Right now, I am aboard a Magic Airship, on my way to the Kingdom of Dement. From the information I've gathered, something big and mysterious is happening there.
However, who would have thought that on this journey, I would meet someone so surprising! Mr. Welos Perliand, a noble from the Kingdom of Dement, known as a Viscount. Welos is a mysterious figure, and the rumors surrounding him only heighten my curiosity.
From the various pieces of information I've collected, Mr. Welos obtained his noble title in a very controversial manner. Rumor has it that Welos killed his own brother to achieve this position. Of course, this rumor piqued my interest, and I decided that I had to speak directly with the man to uncover the truth.
I started a simple conversation with Mr. Welos, trying to understand more about this man. After some small talk, I felt it was time to dig deeper.
"So, Mr. Welos... How did you obtain your noble title? Is it true that this was part of your plan, or perhaps fate just happened to favor you?" I asked with a slight smile, hoping to elicit an honest reaction from him.
Mr. Welos looked at me with a mysterious smile before letting out a small laugh. "Hmm... Of course, it was due to luck! Hahaha... How could I plan something like killing my own brother? That would be utterly insane," the man replied in a tone that seemed to be joking, but his eyes hinted at something deeper.
