Chapter 52 - Ch 52: The Assassination Mission

At that moment, a message appeared in Ryan's mind, cutting through his thoughts for a moment.

[You have received a mission!]

Ryan fell silent, curiosity swelling in his chest. Immediately, he focused on the message, trying to discern the purpose of the mission that had appeared so suddenly.

[Side Mission: Kill someone from behind your room! Who is causing a disturbance! And bothering you!]

[Points: 300]

Ryan was taken aback and stared at the system screen with a serious expression. This mission was different—darker, more dangerous. A murder, and the reward offered was much higher than usual. Ryan's mind raced, analyzing every possibility and risk that might arise from this mission.

After pondering for a moment, Ryan made a decision. With a determined resolve, he reached out and grabbed something from his Reality Marble. A strange piece of paper appeared in his hand, not just any ordinary paper, but Spell Talisman Paper.

Ryan carefully channeled Mana Energy from within his body into the Spell Talisman Paper. Slowly, the energy seeped into the paper, revealing ancient symbols that glowed faintly.

Once ready, Ryan affixed the Spell Talisman Paper to the wall of the room. Without waiting long, Ryan stepped forward, and his body seemed to pass through the wall, which now felt like an illusion—an effect of the Wall-Penetrating Spell Talisman.

Ellina, witnessing this, was shocked, her gaze fixed on Ryan, who had now disappeared behind the wall. In confusion, Ellina glanced at Charlotte, who remained calm, as if accustomed to such things.

At that moment, Ellina realized that Ryan harbored more secrets than he had ever revealed. A feeling of rivalry with Charlotte began to emerge in Ellina's mind, but she quickly dismissed that feeling. Without a second thought, Ellina followed Ryan's lead, passing through the wall alongside Charlotte.

They arrived in the adjacent room, and the sight they found made the atmosphere even more chilling. A girl, appearing to be around fifteen or sixteen years old, lay on the floor.

The girl wore a black checkered long-sleeve shirt, her collar raised high, and matching long pants. An old-fashioned watch circled her wrist, and a black hat covered part of her short red hair. The girl's black eyes bulged at Ryan, Ellina, and Charlotte, who had just entered.

The girl seemed to struggle to move her body, but it was clear that she could not stand. Her body could only writhe weakly on the floor, as if something invisible was holding her in a tight grip. A sharp gaze full of hatred radiated from her eyes, but she was powerless to fight back.

Ryan looked at the girl with a cold stare, his eyes emanating a terrifying calmness. Without uttering a word, Ryan lowered himself and crouched near the girl.

In one swift motion, Ryan pulled a knife from beneath his cloak, and the tip of the knife was immediately directed at the girl's throat. The girl stared wide-eyed, looking at Ryan with a mix of fear and anger, yet still unable to do anything.

With a chilling calmness, Ryan placed his hand on the girl's cheek, feeling the coldness of her pale skin. Slowly, but with an unresistable force, Ryan forcibly opened the girl's mouth. The knife glinted in Ryan's hand, ready to end everything.

With force, Ryan finally opened the girl's mouth. In one swift and decisive motion, Ryan swung his knife toward the girl's mouth. The girl thrashed harder, her body writhing wildly on the floor, and tears began to flow freely from her terrified eyes. However, Ryan continued to force the knife into the girl's mouth.

Suddenly, something unexpected happened.
