Robert entered Frances house, his demeanor serious. Frances was seated on the sofa, her complexion pale.
"Good day, Mrs. Richard. How are you doing?" he inquired.
"I am good... and call me Frances," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Noted. I brought some news about Selina."
Frances's interest piqued, but her expression remained tense. "Uh huh."
"Your daughter murdered three nuns," Roberts stated bluntly.
"What? Oh my God. I am tired of everything myself; I don't know what to say or do anymore," Frances lamented, her hands trembling.
Roberts sat down opposite her, leaning forward. "Have you heard from her? Did she visit you in the hospital?"
"Yes, she did," Frances confirmed.
"Did she say anything? Her whereabouts?" he pressed.
"She came to see how I was doing, but she left. She didn't mention where she was going," Frances answered, her gaze distant.
"Any idea who the next target is?" Roberts continued.
"She mentioned going after her father next," Frances revealed, her voice heavy with concern.
"She can't be that reckless to reveal her next target. It means she isn't going after him; she's aiming for someone else," Roberts surmised.
"I don't even know how she plans this," Frances said, despairing.
"Selina is a smart criminal. She's too careful to be caught easily. We need information that could lead us to her location," Roberts asserted.
"I wish I knew where she is. She didn't say anything; she just apologized for what she did," Frances replied, tears welling in her eyes.
At that moment, Roberts's phone rang. He answered quickly. "Hello? What? Alright, I'll be right there." He hung up, standing abruptly.
"What happened?" Frances asked, anxiety rising.
"I just got a report from Doctor Henry. Selina came to warn him," he said, urgency in his voice.
"She said she wanted Doctor Henry to treat me before she strikes," Frances recalled.
"Do you think Doctor Henry might be next?" Roberts asked, concern etched on his face.
"I don't know," Frances whispered.
"Frances, please take care of yourself. I'll go see Doctor Henry," Roberts instructed.
"Okay," she replied, her voice shaky.
"Thank you for your time." Roberts nodded and exited, leaving Frances lost in thought.
"Where could you be, love?" she muttered, her heart aching.
Anne enters and hugs Frances warmly.
"Aunt."
"Frances smiled faintly. "How are you? You look happy."
"I am good and yes, I am happy thanks to Selina," Anne replied, her eyes sparkling.
"Selina? Where is she?" Frances asked, concern creeping back.
"Back to her hiding. She came to meet me at the bar," Anne said casually.
"I hope she didn't cause any trouble," Frances warned.
"She helped me discover the truth," Anne said, her tone shifting.
"What truth?" Frances inquired.
"Aunt, Thomas is cheating on me with Mia, my best friend," Anne revealed, her voice trembling with hurt.
"What?" Frances gasped.
"The annoying part is that my parents are aware of it. They all used me for their business growth," Anne said, bitterness seeping into her words.
"I am so sorry to hear that, Anne. You are a nice person, and you deserve the best," Frances consoled her.
"Aww, thanks, Aunt. So, how are you doing?" Anne asked, concern evident.
"I am scared. I don't want Selina to get hurt," Frances confessed.
"What happened?" Anne pressed, alarmed.
"The nuns," Frances replied, her voice barely a whisper.
"I talked to her, but she shunned me. There is still a good side inside Selina," Anne assured her.
"I know," Frances said, her heart heavy.
"Everything will be alright," Anne promised, though doubt lingered in her eyes.
Anne's phone rings. She answers it.
"I don't want to talk to you... What? Where are you? I am on my way," Anne said, urgency clear in her voice.
"Is everything alright?" Frances asked, alarmed.
"It's Thomas. Selina is at my house. I didn't ask her to harm Thomas; I already taught him a lesson," Anne explained, fear creeping in.
"Hurry up, Anne," Frances urged.
"Take care of yourself, Aunt," Anne said before exiting hurriedly, worry etched on her face.
Helen paced anxiously in her house, her agitation evident in every moment. Richard stood near the door, frustration mounting.
"What are you, a fool? She planted the money in my closet. Isn't it glaring?" Helen snapped.
"I don't know who to trust," Richard replied, his voice strained.
"Okay, tell me, how did she know?" Helen demanded.
"She mentioned coming to visit," Richard said, uncertainty in his eyes.
"Fine, believe what you think is the truth. Just leave my house," Helen ordered.
"That was my plan B," Richard retorted as he exited angrily.
In Selina's mansion, Jake stood by the window, gazing out, while Selina lounged on a luxurious sofa.
"So you call this life?" Jake asked, skepticism lacing his words.
"Don't you dare reprimand me, Jake. Don't even go there," Selina shot back.
"I'm not scared of you, Selina. The worst thing that can happen is you killing me," Jake stated defiantly.
"Aren't you afraid of death?" she taunted.
"Afraid or not, death will surely come," Jake replied, unflinching.
"Damn, I like your courage. I am not going to kill you," Selina admitted, her tone softening.
"Do you live here?" Jake pressed, curiosity getting the better of him.
"Is that a question?" Selina replied, annoyance creeping in.
"Yes."
"Why?" she retorted.
"Oh, I don't know... maybe because you didn't want to disclose your location to anyone, and all of a sudden you invited me," Jake challenged.
"You know me more than Anne does. That's why I like you," Selina confessed.
"So?" Jake asked, his interest piqued.
"I'm sorry, Jake, but I can't tell you anything. I don't want anyone ruining my plan. I don't want you to get in my way," she warned.
"Or what?" he countered.
"Jake, you've helped me a lot, and I appreciate it, but I love you too much to kill you," she admitted, vulnerability shining through her bravado.
"Then stop," Jake urged, desperation in his voice.
"Dr. Laura won't be happy with me if I stop now. I started with her; I have to end with everyone," Selina explained, her resolve hardening.
"What if you get yourself killed?" Jake asked, fear creeping into his tone.
"I give you my word, Jake. After I complete my mission, I'll hand myself over to the police," she promised, but her eyes betrayed uncertainty.
"You don't understand, Selina. You have to stop now," Jake pleaded.
"Sorry, I can't. Now leave," she said, her voice cold.
"What?" he asked, taken aback.
"You heard me, Jake, leave," she insisted.
"Alright, I'll leave, but we aren't done talking yet," he replied, frustration boiling over as he stormed out.
" I love you, Jake," Selina whispered to the empty room, sadness enveloping her.
Anne entered her parents' house, greeted with warmth.
"Mom, Dad, I missed you two," she exclaimed.
"Us too," Taylor replied, embracing her.
"How is the business?" Anne inquired, a hint of curiosity in her voice.
"Great, we will be rich soon," Diego announced proudly.
"I spoke with my fiancé, and he asked me to give you this," Anne said, pulling out some paperwork.
"What is this?" Diego asked, puzzled.
"Ownership of half of the company," Anne revealed, smiling broadly. "Congratulations, parents."
"That's good news!" Diego exclaimed, his eyes lighting up.
"You both need to sign here," she directed, placing the documents before them.
Taylor and Diego quickly signed the papers, their expressions a mix of disbelief and joy.
"Thank you so much, Anne," Taylor said, her voice brimming with gratitude.
"It is done. You are now part owners of the company. Congratulations once more," Anne said, her smile radiant.
"All thanks to you," Diego beamed.
"You're welcome. I'll leave now," Anne said, her heart lighter as she exited.
As she walked out, Diego and Taylor exchanged ecstatic glances.
"We are rich, honey!" Diego exclaimed.
"Yeah, crazily rich!" Taylor agreed, her laughter echoing.
Outside, Anne took out her phone and called Selina.
"They signed the papers, Selina. I am not in the business anymore. It's your turn to do your part," she said, her voice steady.
Inside A.P.E.X Company, Thomas and his father waited anxiously in the office.
"Dad, are we going to wait for them?" Thomas asked, glancing at the clock.
Selina enters, disguised as a businesswoman.
"No... I am here," Selina declared confidently.
"And you are?" Thomas's dad inquired, eyeing her suspiciously.
Selina stood confidently, identifying herself as Diego's personal assistant.
Thomas's father, frustration evident in his voice, demanded, "Where is Diego?"
Selina faced Thomas's father with a confident smirk. "Diego hates you, sir, and he never wants to see your face again. He told me to say you're not worth a partnership. To hell with your company and your connection to my boss. I'm done here."
With that, she turned and exited, leaving Thomas's father seething with rage.
"This is an insult to me and my company," he fumed. "I don't want to see him here ever again."
Thomas, trying to maintain some calm, spoke up. "I'm in support, Dad."
At the police station, Richard confronted Roberts, urgency evident in his demeanor. "Selina called. Here's her phone number."
"Thank you, sir. This will be helpful," Roberts replied, accepting the slip.
"You need to track her before she changes her number. I want you to lock her up in prison for life," Richard ordered, frustration boiling over as he stormed out.
Mia was startled when Selina suddenly entered her house, a playful grin on her face.
"Surprise!" Selina announced, clearly enjoying the moment.
Mia narrowed her eyes. "You have no idea how much I hate you. Get out of my house before I call the cops."
"Sure, thank you even," Selina shot back, unfazed.
"Out!" Mia shouted, her patience wearing thin.
As Selina casually dropped a bomb and exited, Mia's heart raced as she noticed it. She rushed to the door, but it was locked from the outside.
"No, no, no! Selina, open the door! I know you can hear me!" she cried, banging on the door, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Outside, Selina stood with an air of indifference. "Goodbye, pretty lover of Thomas. Now you'll never trouble Anne ever again," she called, a chilling smile on her face as she walked away.
