Maya's eyes widened as she read the documents Sophia had given her. The truth about her family's business dealings was shocking.
"Aryan, what have you done?" Maya whispered to herself.
Just then, her phone buzzed. It was Chase.
"Meet me at the old warehouse at midnight," Chase texted. "Come alone."
Maya's heart raced. What did Chase want to show her?
At midnight, Maya made her way to the warehouse. Chase was already there, his eyes gleaming in the dim light.
"What is it?" Maya asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Follow me," Chase replied, leading her deeper into the warehouse.
As they walked, the shadows seemed to grow longer and darker. Maya's instincts screamed at her to turn back, but she pressed on.
Suddenly, Chase stopped in front of a large crate. He lifted the lid, revealing a stash of illegal weapons.
"This is what our families are fighting over," Chase said, his voice low and urgent. "But there's more. Much more."
