Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: The Poisonous Plot and the Garden Clash

Within the shadowy confines of the palace, Shakuni, Duryodhan, and Dushasan gathered in a secluded chamber, a sinister atmosphere hanging thick in the air. On the table before them lay a vial filled with a dark, viscous liquid—the deadly poison extracted from the forests of Gandhar, a substance so potent that the hunters there used it to bring down even the mightiest of beasts.

Shakuni, with his usual cunning smile, held the vial up, letting the dim light flicker through the venomous concoction. He turned to Duryodhan, his voice smooth and full of malice. "Do you understand now, Duryodhan? This poison is not just for the animals of the forest. It will serve our purpose well."

Duryodhan, eyes narrowed and filled with determination, nodded slowly. "I have a plan, Mama. I know exactly what to do."

As the three schemed, outside in the palace gardens, the atmosphere was far lighter, though not without its own tensions. The five Pandava brothers were playing a lively game, their laughter echoing through the lush greenery. Bheema, with his boundless energy, kicked the ball hard, sending it soaring through the air—straight into the delicate hands of Dushala, who was cradling her beloved doll.

The force knocked the doll from her grasp, and it tumbled to the ground. Immediately, Dushala's eyes filled with tears, and she began to cry, clutching at the empty space where her doll had been.

Arjun, always quick to act with kindness, stepped forward. "Don't cry, Dushala. Bheema bhaiya will take your doll and swing her in his arms. She'll feel just like she's flying, and you'll feel better too."

But before Bheema could reach the doll, a sharp voice cut through the air. Dushasan, flanked by his brothers, strode into the garden, his expression dark. "What's going on here?" he demanded, his eyes blazing as he took in the scene.

Shubham, still getting used to the idea of being Arjun, sighed inwardly. "Can't a single day go by without a conflict?" he thought.

Duryodhan, noticing Dushala's distress, surprised everyone by turning to his sister and speaking gently. "Dushala, give the ball back to them. They didn't mean to hurt you."

The Pandavas, stunned by this unexpected gesture, watched as Dushala, still pouting, took the ball and hurled it away in frustration. The ball arced through the air and landed with a splash in the nearby well, sinking out of sight in the water below.

For a moment, everyone stood still, the tension palpable. Dushasan sneered, as if daring the Pandavas to retrieve it. Arjun looked at his brothers, who shared his disbelief. Duryodhan's apparent kindness had been fleeting, only to be replaced by a situation that threatened to spark yet another confrontation.

Shubham, now fully immersed in Arjun's character, knew that their lives in Hastinapur were becoming increasingly complicated. Every gesture, every word seemed loaded with meaning, and the tension between the Pandavas and Kauravas was growing with each passing day. The splash of the ball in the well was just another reminder that, despite the momentary truce, the rivalry was far from over.
