Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: The Poisonous Trap

As Duryodhan, Bheem, and Dushasan entered the secluded area of Pramankoti, the lush surroundings concealed a sinister plan. The trees bore fruits of every kind, and the air was filled with the scent of freshly prepared delicacies. Bheem, known for his love of food, was immediately drawn to the spread laid out before him. Duryodhan, masking his malevolent intentions with a smile, urged Bheem to taste the kheer, claiming it to be the best dish of all.

Bheem, ever the generous brother, hesitated. "I should save some for my brothers," he said, his voice filled with affection. But Duryodhan, eager to set his plan in motion, insisted. "No, Bheem. You must eat first. You are the elder, after all."

Reluctantly, Bheem agreed, but his natural instincts made him cautious. "You eat first, Duryodhan," he suggested, offering the kheer to his cousin. Duryodhan, nervous that his deception might be uncovered, pretended to take a bite, but cleverly avoided actually eating it. Bheem, reassured, began to eat the kheer himself, savoring each spoonful.

Unbeknownst to Bheem, the kheer was laced with a powerful poison, concocted by Shakuni. As Bheem finished the bowl, a wave of dizziness and nausea washed over him. He tried to shake off the feeling, but his vision blurred, and his limbs grew heavy. The world around him began to spin, and with a final, futile attempt to stay conscious, Bheem collapsed.

Back at the palace, in the midst of preparing food, Kunti suddenly felt a deep sense of unease. Her heart raced, and her hands trembled as if warning her of an impending disaster. At that moment, Nakul ran into the kitchen, his face pale with worry. "Mother, have you seen Bheem? I have a terrible feeling that something bad is going to happen."

Dushala, who had been nearby, overheard the conversation and added, "I saw him with brother Duryodhan, but it's been a long time since then."

Gandhari, overhearing their conversation, tried to reassure them. "If Bheem is with Duryodhan, there's no need to worry. He will come back soon."

But Kunti, trusting her instincts, turned to Nakul and said, "Find Arjun. Ask him to look for Bheem. Something isn't right."

Meanwhile, back in Pramankoti, Bheem lay unconscious on the ground. Duryodhan, with a look of triumph on his face, watched as Shakuni entered the scene. With Dushasan's help, they began to drag Bheem's body toward the riverbank. Shakuni, his voice cold and calculating, ordered them to throw Bheem into the Ganga to ensure he would never return.

At the same time, Arjun was reflecting on what he knew of the situation. The location, Pramankoti, flashed in his mind, and a sense of urgency gripped him. But despite knowing where Bheem might be, Arjun hesitated. Deep down, he believed in Bheem's strength and resilience. He knew that if Bheem could survive this, it would bring him great honor and possibly a divine boon.

However, time was slipping away, and the poison was doing its work. The fate of Bheem now hung in the balance as the treacherous plot of Duryodhan and Shakuni neared its deadly conclusion.
