Chapter 1 - The Meeting of the Gods

The world is now overcrowded with billions of people, causing widespread hunger across the globe. Earth can no longer meet the needs of these billions.

Humanity has been growing at an alarming rate. The world's governments have made their best efforts to address this rapid population growth by implementing regulations that allow parents to have only one child. However, mere recommendations and legal warnings have not resolved the problem.

Many parents still have more than one child, especially those from lower-income backgrounds. Unknown to the government, it is now too late. Earth is becoming increasingly fragile, and the resources required to sustain the human population are dwindling and insufficient.

.....

High above the Earth, on a grand and majestic throne, sat a figure of immense charisma and authority. This figure, undeniably powerful and commanding, was Zeus, one of the highest and most influential gods. Before him stood another deity with sharp, resolute eyes and a strikingly imposing presence—Ares, Zeus's son, known for his love of conflict and battle, which had earned him a less favorable reputation among the gods.

"Father, Earth is now overcrowded and suffocating. I believe it is time to start a new human civilization and eliminate the current one."

"You are right, Ares, but to do this, we need the approval of all the gods."

Ares smiled, seeing that his father Zeus seemed to agree with his thoughts.

"Should we hold a meeting to discuss this, Father?"

"Yes, it might be a good idea to convene a meeting, as it has been a long time since we last did."

Ares suggested to his father, Zeus, that they should hold a meeting to discuss the destruction of the current human civilization and the creation of a new one.

Zeus agreed to Ares's suggestion and immediately instructed him to handle the invitations for the meeting with the other gods.

The invitations were soon sent to all gods, both those of great influence and those of lesser influence.

The day of the meeting arrived, and it took place in the grand and splendid Coliseum of the gods, which could accommodate thousands of deities.

Before long, the Coliseum was filled with thousands of gods. In the center, several luxurious thrones were set aside for the highest gods, with Zeus occupying one of these thrones, indicating his status as one of the supreme deities.

Zeus noticed that almost all the gods were present, with only a few who might not attend. These absentees were typically the highest gods who reluctantly participated in such tedious meetings. The lesser gods, however, dared not miss the meeting, especially when it was hosted by Zeus.

Seeing that most gods had arrived, Zeus began the meeting to discuss the future of humanity.

Zeus instructed Ares to explain the purpose of the meeting.

"Fellow gods, we are here to discuss the replacement of the current human civilization and the annihilation of the existing one. For this, we need approval. At present, my father, as the highest deity, supports this."

Ares quickly conveyed the purpose of the meeting. Many gods reacted with surprise to this announcement.

Some were pleased, some were saddened, some were angry, and some were indifferent, as it did not concern them greatly.

A commotion ensued among the gods as they debated the issue, causing significant disruption due to the differing opinions.

For most gods, especially those without much power or influence, their arguments and suggestions would have little impact, particularly since Zeus, the supreme deity, had already approved the plan. However, if other high gods shared their opinions, they could join forces and make their voices heard.

Amid the uproar caused by differing opinions, another high deity stood from her throne. This deity, wise and radiating an aura of virtue, calmed the assembly with her presence.

"Zeus, this cannot be done. We must find another way rather than simply destroying a civilization that has endured for so long."

"There is no other way, Buddha. They are too many, and Earth can no longer sustain them."

The high deity speaking was Buddha, who disagreed with Zeus. As the god of wisdom and someone close to humanity, Buddha felt that starting a new civilization and destroying the current one was wrong and unjust.

A difference of opinion between Buddha and Zeus created a tense atmosphere in the Coliseum. Typically, high deities avoided direct conflict, as battles among them would have repercussions across the universe.

The meeting now had three factions: those opposed to the destruction of the current civilization, those in favor of it, and those who chose to remain neutral.

The meeting dragged on with no resolution as both sides remained firmly opposed to each other.

"Zeus, are you doing this out of vengeance against the nameless god, the first human who became a deity and caused trouble for you?"

"Nonsense! This has nothing to do with that nameless god. That child is fortunate he escaped to The Hell and is trapped there!"

The debate intensified as both factions clashed, with equal numbers on each side.

Observing the stalemate, Ares, who had been standing beside Zeus, grinned at the situation.

"Everyone, please calm down. High Deity Buddha, I hope you can remain calm, and Father, you too. I have a solution for this."

Ares, who had been silent until now, announced that he had a solution. He then proceeded to present his proposed solution to the current dilemma.

"What if we..."
