Chapter 2 - The Solution from Ares

"What if we unleash demons upon the Earth and initiate the Ragnarok catastrophe? This would significantly reduce the human population, and for those who survive, they could live on Earth alongside the demons."

Ares then proposed his solution to the problem by suggesting that demons be released on Earth to start Ragnarok.

Many were shocked by Ares's proposal, as Ragnarok equated to the destruction of human civilization and was no different from annihilation. This was not a solution but merely another method of exterminating human civilization.

"Ares, are you joking? Humans will not be able to survive with demons released on Earth. This is equivalent to the eradication of current human civilization. Humans cannot coexist with demons. I do not agree with this solution!"

"Calm down, Supreme Deity Buddha. I anticipated this. What if we gods choose humans to be our successors on Earth? We could grant them some of our powers so that they could survive during the Ragnarok catastrophe."

Buddha, who had remained calm and dignified until now, was enraged by Ares's proposed solution. Seeing Buddha's anger and disagreement, Ares then provided another solution on how humans could endure the upcoming Ragnarok catastrophe. Buddha, on the other hand, had several objections to Ares's new proposal.

The debate continued, and after a lengthy discussion between the two factions—the Supreme Deity Zeus's faction and the Supreme Deity Buddha's faction—a consensus was reached.

Buddha agreed to unleash demons on Earth and start Ragnarok, but with the condition that the gods would bestow some of their powers upon selected humans as successors. At least a thousand humans would thus gain divine powers to protect humanity.

Another agreement was made: this would become a war between humans and demons. If humans won, their current civilization would not be destroyed, and they could continue to live well. Additionally, the dying Earth would be restored with the help of the gods so that humans could live decently and not worry about the impacts of the war between humans and demons.

This was the best outcome from the gods' meeting. On one hand, it would reduce the current human population, but on the other, human civilization would endure and not be replaced by a new one.

Before the meeting ended, Zeus, as one of the highest gods and the organizer of the meeting, instructed all the gods that they would need to choose their successors soon, as the demons would start being gradually released to Earth and Ragnarok would commence.

After giving the instructions to the gods, Zeus, along with the other highest deities, including Supreme Deity Buddha, left the meeting.

"I think this will be interesting. We've been bored for a long time, and it seems we will have some entertainment. I need to quickly choose my successor."

"You're right. There's nothing wrong with us enjoying Ragnarok. I should also choose my successor soon."

Several gods were seen discussing the event, pleased with what was happening. They looked forward to participating and enlivening the event by selecting their successors to face Ragnarok. This was a form of entertainment for the gods who had long felt bored.

Some gods were not pleased with this and took the situation seriously, needing to choose successors who could save human civilization.

After the gods' meeting concluded and decisions were made with the agreement of all the gods, they left the coliseum where the meeting had taken place, having seen the highest gods depart from their thrones.

In a room that looked like a sinister prison with very dim lighting, the atmosphere exuded a sense of violence and darkness.

In the center of the room was a throne that, while not majestic, radiated a prestigious and intimidating aura, deterring anyone from sitting on it.

On the prestigious and ominous throne, one could now see a figure sitting there, with a posture reminiscent of a king who holds power over everything, while another figure stood before him.

"Master, this is what happened at the meeting between the gods convened by the supreme god Zeus."

"Very well, you may leave. I have grasped the essence of it."

The figure sitting on the throne then instructed the other figure to leave after reporting what they knew about the meeting just held by Zeus.

The figure then vanished from the throne and reappeared in a room that appeared to be a prison cell.

"Nameless God, it seems my brother still remembers what you did back then."

The figure stood before a prison cell made of the strongest metal, adamantium, and spoke to the Nameless God imprisoned within, who had fled and was now confined by Hades.

"What do you want to tell me, Hades? If it's trivial news, get out of my sight!"

"Hahahaha.... You still seem very spirited, Nameless God. You should be grateful that you're still alive, even if imprisoned like this. Nameless God, I have something interesting to tell you."

The figure standing in front of the prison cell was one of the supreme gods, Hades, the ruler of the underworld and the afterlife.

Hades had found the Nameless God on the brink of death after causing turmoil and battling Zeus, forcing the Nameless God to flee to the underworld. Seeing the Nameless God dying within his domain, Hades decided to imprison him.

"Nameless God, I admire your ambition and spirit, especially since you were once just a weak human."

"Stop your rambling, Hades. Tell me what's so interesting that you came here. If it's not worth it, you might as well kill me rather than leave me rotting here."

The Nameless God demanded that Hades get to the point and reveal what was so intriguing that it warranted Hades' visit.
