Chapter 27 - Trouble

Jacquelyn widened her eyes as she looked at Kael. His words were casual, but they sent a shiver down her spine. How could he be so calm and detached amidst such debauchery? Did he just ask her to eat while the people beside her were losing control? Even when she tried to block out what was happening, the vampire's moans wouldn't let her.

Gently pushing her soup closer, Jacquelyn decided it was best to act like the others. After all, she wasn't the one who should feel ashamed; it was the two people openly doing something so shameless. Picking up her spoon calmly, the princess leaned closer to eat her food when someone pushed her plate, causing the soup to spill on her dress.

"Ah!" Jacquelyn exclaimed, pushing her chair back. She stood up, trying to clean the soup that had now stained her dress. As if Jacquelyn was invisible, the vampires clapped and cheered for the young woman with silver hair and her partner as they moved their position to sitting on the table.
