Chapter 32 - Herschel

Inside the tea house, Kael sat on the couch close to the window with his legs crossed and his body resting on the pillow. He watched with intrigue as the girl sat in the center of the old women, listening attentively as if she had been part of them since time immemorial.

Kael smiled, shaking his head slowly. "She finally found her tribe," the vampire muttered.

"Who?" A young boy's voice was heard, very close to Kael.

Kael slowly moved his eyes, his brows slightly raised in annoyance. "I have told you so many times to stop coming close to me," he said, raising his hand to grab the boy, who let out a panicked scream.

"Grandfather!" The young boy, who appeared to be around seventeen with distinct black and red hair, shouted at the top of his lungs, avoiding the vampire king in front of him.

Like a mother hen, the old man the boy had called stepped into the room, walking briskly.

"Kael!! Let him go," the old man said firmly.
