Chapter 6: Goblins (2)
Surprisingly we didn't encounter any more Goblin Brutes and Goblin Shaman. Instead we just encountered some washed up Goblin Soldiers and Goblin Archers.
They weren't much of a threat since they were weak. Because of that we managed to clear the remaining five areas with relative ease and speed.
'Hmmm, I have a bad feeling about this.' However there was one odd thing that was lingering on our minds.
"We pretty much cleared every area but there's no sign of the Boss Monster." Exactly. Even though he was the last priority his presence or at least the clues of his presence is deeply needed.
However not a sliver of hint about him was whiffed out.
"This is not going to work. We need to send out some scouts to scour the area. If we don't find the boss we're stuck here." Despite the initial unbothered attitude of our Team Leader there was no denying that he is competent.
"Hunter Jeong, you are the most agile amongs us. Do you know anything about reconnaissance?" He turned to our archer and asked.
"I can do a little bit of scouting. It's part of the Archer training." He said with confidence.
"Then I'll entrust this task to you."
"Alright, but I expect some raise." He said jokingly.
With a swift spring, his figure blurred as he landed gracefully on the nearest tree. His light feet landed on the thin branch with ease.
Then in another blur he disappeared. We took this opportunity to rest.
All of them attended to their own needs. The team leader reviewed the data, Hunter Byeol cleaned his sword, our mage drank potion to recover her mana.
And I sat on one of the tree shades and opened my System.
"System."
I whispered under my breath. Then as I commanded a clear interface sprung up in front of me.

My level went up from level 15 all the way up to level 25. I seemed to have level up to 10 levels leaving me with 20 stat points to distribute.
That's a good harvest if I say so myself.
"Hmmm, where should I distribute my stat points…?" I pondered.
Preferably I should distribute my stat points into my defense since my role is that of a Tank. But due to my Class Skill: Immortality, my defense is infinite.
So I don't have to worry about my stat points going to defense which leaves me with three options:
Strength, which would boost my attack power.
Agility, which would make me more agile.
And then Mana, which would increase my magic power i.e., my Ruler of Steel.
In terms of Strength, I am doing pretty well, but it would still be better to increase it.
On the other hand, my agility doesn't need much improvement. My role is to be a Tank, it means to be immobile like an Iron Fortress.
I don't need much moving. And besides, due to my physique I am much more agile than what my role suggest.
So that leaves me with Mana and Strength.
I'm gonna divide them into two and distribute them equally.
And so I pressed the plus sign on both str stat and mana. Putting in all of my 20 stat points increasing each of them by 10.
The moment I distributed those stat points. I felt my body undergo some changes.
My muscles twitch and wriggle, as if a million ants were crawling under my skin. My heart pounds faster as the energy inside my body undergoes a qualitative and quantitative change.
Thankfully I managed to cover my supposed evolution with my Tower Shield otherwise my teammates would've cast strange looks at me.

I can feel my newfound strength coursing through my veins. I feel like I can crush anything in my grasp. I need something to punch.
Something to crush.
My eyes wandered like a drug addict, eventually landing on the small palm size rock sitting besides me.
Then I grabbed the rock near me and squeezed it. Immediately, the rock was reduced into nothing but ashes.
'Damn.'
The feeling was quite addicting.
I breathed in and out. Calming my mind and waiting for the adrenaline surge to die down.
I can't let myself be agitated by this small increase of power. Otherwise. I would be absolutely corrupted if I gained something much more than this which I knew would eventually come sooner or later.
After calming myself down I stood up from my seat and stretched my body. Then I walked back to my team and see if there's some news.
When I got there, everything was still the same. Hunter Jeong is still out there scouting which leaves me with nothing to do.
I wanted to get out of here and explore but as much as I wanted to roam around the forest and explore, I can't do that.
I'm a tank, I'm obligated to always be near my teammates to protect them.
"Sigh…" I heaved.
As I was about to lament my boredom, we heard a shrill shout from the distance, I raised my head to locate the source of the sound and saw Hunter Jeong running towards us with a hurried and panicked step.
He came back from scouting.
But there was panic on his face. Not panic to be precise but more like fear.
He was in the distance shouting something at us, his face drenching in sweat. Pale and bloodshot.
"What?" I muttered. I can't understand a single thing he's shouting since he's so far away.
But when I read his lips he seemed to be saying: Run Away!
As he got closer and closer his voice became more articulated.
"Everyone! Run away!"
His words confused and at the same time alerted us. Our team leader stood up from his seat and became more serious.
He then ran towards Hunter Jeong and shook his shoulder.
"Get your grip together! What is going on!" He asked furiously.
"Run away!" Hunter Jeong shouted.
"There's an army! An army of goblins!!"
