2 Days Later
The morning light filtered through the window. Viktor, who was sleeping on his expensive bed, slowly opened his eyes due to the light.
During the past few days, he had received many applications for his band. The reason? It was because after Lisandra accepted his invitation, he added the recent cover of her video and announced she was confirmed as the lead singer.
With the promotion of Luminara Media after she joined his band, Lisandra had become very popular in the past few days. The company promoted her, and she even appeared on TV. People, of course, understood that this meant Luminara Media wanted to cultivate her. Now that she had joined the band, didn't this indicate the company was ready to invest many resources into the band that was about to be formed? So, of course, people wouldn't let the opportunity pass by.
There were so many applications that Viktor had to put aside his camera invention project to carefully review all of them for fear of missing a great talent.
Was it worth it? Viktor didn't know how to answer. He was satisfied because he had probably encountered one of the most talented people he had seen in terms of playing, but unfortunately, he still hadn't found his dream drummer.
He never expected that finding a good drummer would turn out to be so hard.
It's not that there weren't any drummers applying or that they were that bad; in fact, it's just that they didn't meet Viktor's requirements, especially in terms of appearance.
In Viktor's plan, all of his band members had to be super handsome or beautiful. Whether it was playing guitar or singing, many people learned those skills, even if it was just to impress their crush. So, it wasn't really difficult to find a handsome guitarist or a beautiful singer.
When it came to drummers, first of all, they were very rare. Among 20 people who knew how to play musical instruments, you might encounter only one person who knew how to play drums, and even then, you had to be lucky.
Now, he had already made up his mind anyway: either he would let that talented person learn to play drums—he was sure she could do it because she could play four musical instruments almost perfectly and easily—or he would wait until he gained some points to buy proficiency in drums.
Anyway, after having breakfast with his father, he would tell him about the final people he had chosen for his project. Then, they would have their first meeting before everyone went on to receive more professional training.
While Viktor was planning his future as usual, someone was missing him.
Peter's POV
Today, I'm very excited, waiting for the verdict that's about to come. It's concerning the new band recently sponsored by Luminara Media that's been making a buzz in the world over the past few days.
If before I had some confidence in my talent but wasn't completely sure, then now, I don't have any confidence.
It was because after the publicity done by Luminara Media, this band that's not even formed yet had started to attract attention.
The media had dug up information about Viktor, the one who would be the lead guitarist and head of the band. He was someone who had obtained two PhDs at only eighteen. It's said that he was also from a rich family, but his background remained mysterious.
There's also that newly popular singer who achieved the dream of many people by becoming famous with one cover. She would be the lead singer in the band.
With such people in the band, they definitely don't have to worry about the future or having enough income; they should just worry about what heights they can reach. It's natural that many people wouldn't let go of such an opportunity.
When I was lost in my thoughts, staring at the screen, I suddenly felt a bit of warmth around my neck.
Without even turning back, I knew it was my girlfriend. I couldn't help but smile. Although I had that 4% doubt that I shouldn't have, my love for her was something genuine.
When I turned to look at her, I was absorbed by her eyes like a vortex as usual. Then, looking at her body, you couldn't even see a sign of her being pregnant. It's only been one month and three weeks since she became pregnant, after all; it's still in the early stage.
She smiled radiantly and said, "Are the results still not announced?"
I took her hands and hugged her, a way for me to feel better before replying, "Well, still waiting for the news. Have you eaten?"
The reason I'm asking is that currently, we are living at my mother's house, even though it's a bit embarrassing.
I left earlier in the morning; I have to work, after all. I don't know if she had breakfast. They say that pregnant women tend to lack appetite, although I don't remember if that's in the early or late stage of pregnancy.
She also didn't notice that I was changing the subject, trying to avoid being nervous; this is not good for pregnant women. She replied, "I have eaten, don't worry. The breakfast prepared by your mother was very good."
I smiled before making a face, saying, "What's this about 'the breakfast made by my mother'? It's your soon-to-be mother-in-law; you should just call her 'mother.'"
She just smiled. Although I can't guess what she's thinking, I think maybe she's as happy as I am.
At the same time, I started having these dark thoughts: what if she's lying? What if it's all my illusion? Does she truly love me? What if one day she leaves me just like that? Can I live without her?
[Ding!]
Just when these negative thoughts started creeping into my mind, I quickly snapped back to reality. It was because I heard a ding.
It turned out that I had received an email. Looking at the screen of the old computer, it was from Luminara Media. I looked into my girlfriend's eyes while she also looked at me. It's time for the judgment.
