"Who are you."
The words came out of Kim's mouth with fury burning in the depth of her eyes, looking straight into her eyes, Sifeng shiver and lower his gaze. The word that came out of her mouth is unexpected and got cold sweat running down his spine.
When the sword was first pointed at him, he had different thoughts running through his head but he never thought for once that her action might be related to his identity. He never for once thought that Kim had figure out that he's not her real brother. He had grown more accustomed to her company that he always forgot the fact that he's not her real brother and Sifeng, not even for once, thought that she had found out or would found out someday.
The thought never cross his mind, but here they're now with Kim pointing her sword at him asking who he was. What should he do, explain how he got transported here to her or fight her and escape. Sifeng will go for the second option because he knew she won't spare him if he tell her the truth, so he'll rather fight till death.
Either way, the two option have the same outcome, fighting her isn't an option because the amount of oppressive aura she's releasing into the room is pressuring him down, he can't even move his body and his legs were constantly shaking. Sifeng haven't been like this around Kim before.
"Who are you? Tell me now, I know you're not my brother, tell me what happened to him."
She shouted with the pressure getting more furious. Now, Sifeng is finding it hard to breath and he can't even say a word if he was to answer, the pressure is too much.
Kim also realizing this pull her sword back then turned it into a long silver chain, but the white sparks is not swelling around it, he threw the chain at Sifeng which has immediately wrapped around him and crippled him down.
"Now, will you tell me what you did to my brother and who you really are."
Sifeng coughed out blood and breathe slowly, he never knew Kim is this powerful until now, he had his head down thinking of the best lie to give her and buy, but before he could come up with any, Kim speaks as she stood at the front, standing tall above him.
"You better say the truth or else your throat will be sliced."
Just as she said those words, two dagger formed from the tip of the chain and move towards his throat and at the same time, she brought out a tiny wooden pen and show it to him.
"You know what this is? It detect lies and any lie that comes out of your mouth will give the two daggers the permission to slice your throat, so you better answer carefully."
Sifeng now have no choice but to explain everything to her, the chain held him so tight that he can't even lift his finger and he's even finding it difficult to breath, the chain is not pressuring him like the aura coming off the sword but the chain is too tight.
"Please....can.....you....loose...this...thing...a....bit."
Sifeng said with a cracked voice and Kim noticing his struggle loosened the chain a bit and now he can breathe.
"Yes I'm not your real brother, your real brother Sifeng is long dead a month ago after falling from the mountain."
Kim's sobbing made Sifeng stopped as he look at her, rain of tears could be seen rolling down her eyes and the confident and dangerous look on her face moments ago is replaced with weak and somber expression. She cried for a good thirty minutes as she screamed in pain voicing different words with a low tone.
"I knew it."
"I knew there's no way he would survive a fall from the gu mountain."
Sifeng wanted to use this chance to escape but he felt reluctant to, not only it's almost impossible for him to escape but he felt could he could feel her pain, Kim has been nothing but good to him since he got here, even though she might think he's still her brother which only shows how much she care for her brother, so Sifeng don't want to try anything stupid.
After weeping for a while, she wiped her tears, raised her head and look at him, Sifeng shiver again and brought down his head.
'Damn, she has lost it.'
It seems at any moment, she could strangle him to his death so Sifeng quickly opened his mouth and speak before that happen.
"Listen Kim, I didn't kill your brother, it was not me who pushed him down the mountain, in fact nobody does, he fell from the mountain himself, he committed suicide because he's tired of this world."
Kim was taken aback hearing those words, because the wooden pen confirmed it that he's telling the truth, her brother really committed suicide, she had thought his fall was Yeong's doing.
"And how do you know about it."
She asked.
"I saw it with my own eyes."
Sifeng then went on to explain how he got transported into this body in this world he knew nothing about, how he was originally Ray in his world before getting home one day and sleep after so much stress in school, upon sleeping that day, he saw her brother standing atop a mountain with a sad expression on his, how her brother had jumped down the mountain and him trying to save the poor boy only to have his vision fade away and when he woke up, he found himself in the treatment room with the old hag taking care of him.
"I think you know the rest."
Kim just stood there with an unreadable expression on her delicate face, then she moved back and sat on the bed dejectedly.
"So I was right, Old Agi said you must have lost your memory after falling from the mountain but I thought there's no way a mere memory lost will change you completely, the way you speaks, your stupid appetite, your sudden change of dressing taste and hairstyle and lastly, your success in cultivation with the Sect technique and your sudden breakthrough to a Cub, all of that proved it that you're not my real brother but I don't have enough evidence for my suspicious so I decided not to act and you also seem to remember some things related to my brother, like the bullying in school and others. But our discussion earlier about the Sect Academy have made it clear that you're not my brother because Sifeng will never choose going to the Academy over running away even if he knew we might not succeed."
She held her head curled around her arms with tears rolling down her eyes.
"Now that you've confirmed that I'm not your real brother, will you kill me? I mean, i'm no use to your family anymore so it will make sense if you kill me."
He asked calmly but deep down, he's troubled, the question is just to see her reaction so he would know his fate if he'll die right now and here.
"No I'm not killing you, not just because my brother's death didn't come from you but because you're part of this family and still my brother, you're still in his body after all so I'm looking at my little brother whenever I'm looking at you and killing you also means I killed my little brother."
Kim said with a smile as she dismissed the chain, Sifeng gulp upon hearing her word, his worst fear had not come true, she's not killing him, he don't want to believe it.
She move closer to him and bend to make an eye contact with him.
"You're still Sifeng and my brother even though you might not see me as your sister, I still care for you and would always protect you as much as I do to the past Sifeng, so I want you to promise me one thing."
Sifeng took a deep breathe and listen carefully.
"Promise me that you won't die in the Academy, that you will find your way out and come back to meet me."
