Sifeng couldn't believe that Kim have really decided not to kill him, she had decided to help him and train him for the next few days they have left before the arrival of the sect, she'll be giving him training on martial art, how to use basic spells and how to advance his technique cultivation. The saving grace he had is that he's now a Cub, he had made a breakthrough to the rank of a Cub and sensing his life energy would now be much easier for him, he can now cast the basic spells.
The plan was to use the training room that was specially made for Sifeng, they'll be staying in the training room for a long 7 days, they have gathered everything they needed that would serve them in their 7 days training, different food stuff have been collected into the wooden cart, water, healing portion and also their training equipments.
Upon getting to t training room, the first thing Kim did was to bring out the bunch of books she had grabbed somewhere Sifeng didn't know before coming here.
"First thing first, we have to make sure you learn how to use the basic spells before we start anything else because that's the most important thing right now and will also increase your chance of survival in the Academy, depending on how broad your knowledge went in the basic spells, that's why I brought all these books for you."
There are about five different books that she brought out in total with each of them having different and intricate designs on their cover. Kim started bringing out the books one by one as she explained their uses to Sifeng, they all have one thing in common though, and that's their brown colored cover. She then pull the one at the top out as she explain the uses for him, the book has a strange pattern etched onto it, the pattern looks like countless square shape were on one another and they all have their angles intertwined with a small glow of different colors at the center.
A few words could be seen written atop the pattern.
*Basic Spells Of The Life Force.*
This was written with large letters and just below it is another words but smaller.

Kim began to explain.
"This book contain and holds all the basics spell that is known far and wide in this world, the basic spell is a necessity in our everyday life and once a successful connection is made with the life energy, using one of these basic spells will be natural as breathing. I'll be showing you how to use a few of them today before we move onto the next topic."
She then opened the book and flipped to the third stage where different symbols and patterns could be seen with all different names sculptured above them.
"Life whisperer is the first required basic spell that was to be learned by everyone, this spell helps with the healing of minor wounds and injury, so it is required to be learned first, of course, some people don't go with that as they learned the spell they think they needed most while some people don't learn it at all as they believe that it's useless to them as there are healing portions everywhere but in your own case, I'll want you to learn this spell first."
She reached into the small backpack she brought out a while ago and coming out of it was a small black pointy rock. While she do that, Sifeng decided to ask a question.
"This spell stuffs, are they the same as magic? Because I've seen people do many strange things here and you bringing sword out of thin air, they're similar to what magic are said to be."
He had watched so many fantasy movies and also read novels about magic in his world but never for once did he think he would be able to learn or perform one, he always thought all these magic stuffs are not real, that they only exist in fantasy.
"I don't know what a magic is, maybe it's something similar to the basic spell in your world but what I do know is that, once a certain rank is reached, people can control and absorb natural element and external energy which will be used to perform elemental spells, such as fire, earth and so on. Some people are skillful and gifted that they could perform some of these elemental spell even as a Cub."
She then cleared out some space as she brought out the black rock.
"Now watch carefully as I draw the formation."
The symbol on the Life Whisperer spell is circular in shape with about three triangles within it, on each angles of the three triangles were different symbols and smaller drawings that Sifeng couldn't comprehend, Kim redrew everything on the training room floor with the black rock before she started explaining it to Sifeng.
"You can draw this formation anywhere, on your skin, on the ground or on a wood with a writing tool but everyone prefer to draw it mid air with their life force, this is because it's create an easy access for the formation you draw. As I have placed the formation on the floor now, I'll have to channel my life force and insert it into this formation for it to be active."
Kim did just as she said, she focused on her life force, channel it through her arm and when it gets to her finger, it started pouring into the formation she had drew, Sifeng couldn't see the life force but he could see that the formation started glowing with bright light as she pointed her finger to it.
"Amazing right?"
She said with a smile after the formation had completely lit up.
"Now let me show you the other part."
Kneeling down, she started drawing the same formation midair with her finger, Sifeng couldn't see the drawing as it was invisible but he could still follow her finger as it moves around like how she had done the first one on the floor, after a few seconds, the place she was drawing the formation lit up and Sifeng could now see what she had done, the formation is just like the one she did on the floor.
"This is also amazing right? Let me explain the difference between the two, like I said before that if you are drawing with a tool, you'll have to draw the formation somewhere with a writing tool before inserting your life force to activate it, but it's not the same when drawing midair. In this aspect, you don't need any writing tool to draw the formation as your finger and your life force will be your writing tool."
"The first step is to channel your life force to your finger and once you do that, it will feel like your life force is pouring out as if it's escaping your body and once you started having that feeling, you can start drawing the formation with your finger, it will automatically lit up once it's complete.
So which one do you think is better, drawing with a tool or your life force."
She asked but didn't wait for Sifeng to reply before moving on.
"I haven't giving the two formation a command, that's why they're still like this, but before I do that, I want you to draw the same formation and activate it with your life force."
She said as she moves the book towards him with the black rock.
Moving the book closer, he cleared a space for himself and started copying the formation, the outer part was simple for him as they're just basic shape and it didn't take him a minute to finish it up but it was the small symbols and strange text that he couldn't understand gave him a little problem. The symbols are alien to him and not only that, but the way they're designed and tiny is taking time to be repeated.
"Note that any mistake on those symbols will alter the formation either giving them different command leading to another formation or deactivating completely."
Kim commented as she could see that he's sweating rapidly.
Even after spending up to five minutes, he still haven't complete the drawing, he himself is an art enthusiast in his word as a person who is studying Creative Art and love drawing a lot, even though most of his artworks are always used to relayed bad messages, like drawing a man with knife slicing their throat or someone with gun pointed at their head, he never for once had so much difficulties in doing all that.
He finally completed after spending close to ten minutes, but he drew it perfectly just as it was portrayed in the book, even Kim was surprised for how refined his drawing skills seems to be, but the problem is that he spent so much time on it.
"Imagine being in a fight and you need to cast a fast spell, then you spent ten minutes doing so, do you think your opponent will wait for you. Absolutely No, so you must work on your speed."
"But is it a must that I insert all these symbols?"
Sifeng asked.
"No it's not a must but we haven't gotten to that level yet, I'll teach you that later when you're perfect with the spell. Now channel your life energy through your body, then move it to your finger before pointing it to the formation."
Kim explained.
Sifeng closed his eyes trying to feel the life force that lies within him and when he finally made a connection with it, he tried moving it up to his body but for some reason, the energy is moving back, not willing to come up.
"The thing is refusing to come up, how do I do it."
He asked with his eyes closed still battling with the energy.
"Take a deep breath and breath slowly after, it will crawl up itself."
Sifeng just did that and immediately, he could feel the energy running wild within his body, it was moving up in a large quantity with an incredible speed, it isn't harming him so he calm himself down as the energy move through his right arm and when it gets to his fingertip, he could feel his life force sipping away, upon opening hisbeyes, a straight golden aura was running out of his finger into the formation he had drew.
"It's running wild I can't control it and why the fuck am I seeing it, I mean, yours was invisible."
Sifeng asked with an urgent tone.
"Take a deep breath, it will stop."
He did just that and the energy stopped sipping out of his body, sweat could be seen on his forehead as it was as if his life was being slowly taken away when the energy was running out.
"You'll get used to it as time goes on and will be able to handle it properly, as for your question, I'm also surprised."
Kim answered.
