Exelirus sat down on the coach in the living room while Daniela and the Commander were busy having a private conversation by the corner. Exelirus looked around the room a bit intrigued as it seemed like there wasn't that much difference between the house and a typical house in Kinerix. Exelirus then turned to the window, taking a glance the luscious green fields outside the house which greatly reminded him of the fields in Kinetrix where he and his brother would often race through, playing all sorts of games and having innocent fun. Exelirus a small smile form on his face as that memory flashed in his mind, pleased that for once since he had arrived on Earth, his mind hadn't plagued him with painful and heart breaking of the demise of his home and loved once, and allowing him to recall a memory he actually wanted to recall.
Daniela looked at the blue haired boy with a mix pity and sadness in her eyes before asking the commander, "Do you think he'll be alright here".
The commander, in response, simply sighed deeply before saying, "To be honest with you, I have no clue. I'm taking a big gamble here and I'm not entirely sure what the pay off will be".
Daniela and the commander's gazes were fixed on Exelirus as he looked out the window, enjoying the scenery of green grassy field. The kid looked so innocent that it made both of them wonder why unearth his fate would be so cruel as to stripping of everything at such a young age
The commander then cleared his throat before bringing out a file.
"These are the kid's bio reports", said the commander before handing the file over to Daniela.
"The kid's biology isn't that different from your typical speedster but he does have thick skin and hard bones, his cells seem to exert some kind of strange form electro static energy whenever his move fast. Our scientists aren't entirely sure how it works but the energy seem to be able to generate some kind of electrostatic pulse throughout his body whenever he runs" said the commander.
Daniela glanced through the content of the file, reading and examining it in mere seconds thanks her super speed.
"It says here that subject prone to release massive energy burst if he acceleration while running near light speed" Daniela spoke with a mix of shock and worry, upon reading the contents of the file.
"Yeah, just don't let the kid run too fast or otherwise he may blow", said the commander.
"What? He can blow up just by running, how's that even possible?" asked Daniela, shocked upon hearing how Exelirus could possibly become a ticking time bomb if he run too fast.
"That's only if the kid exhorts himself moving too fast, which reminds, you may want to keep the boy's speed in check because when he starts running it's kind of hard to get him to stop", said the commander.
Daniela upon hearing what the commander said just sighed before saying, "Do I need to know anything else".
"The kid's metabolism is probably as high as yours so you better start cooking for an entire city", the commander said jokingly.
"Ha, ha, ha, very funny" Daniela replied sarcastically to the commander's attempt at humor.
"But serious Daniela, be careful with this kid. He's really something with the right guidance he could be something great", said the commander while looking at Exelirus.
"I hope you're not saying that because you expect him to put on a spandex and mask on day patrolling the streets, *sigh* that kind life doesn't suit everyone you know", said Daniela.
The commander upon hearing what Daniela said simply smiled before saying, "The world will always need heroes".
Daniela upon hearing what the commander said took a glance at the blue haired boy and the small smile on his face, and upon seeing it she couldn't help but smile as well before thinking about the commander's words and how the world truly needed more heroes but it was an easy gig, that was something she of all people ought to know well and there was no way would be willing to thrust such a life his way but at the very same time, she knew the commander did have a point, and seeing what Exelirus could do, she was sure that if he really wanted to, he could be a great hero and that thought both excited and scared her.
Daniela then sighed deeply, coming out of her thoughts and turning to the commander, "Isn't it about time you left already, don't you have work to do something".
The commander upon hearing what Daniela just groaned in annoyance, "Don't remind, I have a mountain of paperwork I need attend to thanks to Bluey over there".
"Alright then, get going those papers won't file themselves", said Daniela in a playful tone, greatly annoying the commander who was busy thinking about the massive pile of paperwork wait for him in his office.
The commander then made his way to the door but before he left he called out to Exelirus, saying, "Hey kid, stay out of trouble, I hate to have deal with you like that other low lives. And listen to Daniela, she can be a bit overbearing at times but she has her moments, she'll teach you everything you need to know about living on Earth and staying out of H.O.P.E's danger radar".
Exelirus upon hearing what the commander said, simply nodded in response.
The commander then smiled at the blue haired boy before saying, "I guess I'll see you around kid".
The commander then walked out the door, leaving Exelirus to live his new life on Earth with Daniela there to guide him.
