Aditya was lying on the ground in pain, unsure how to deal with the thugs surrounding him. For a moment, he even thought about abandoning the task given by the system and retreating to his room for a peaceful sleep. However, he knew he couldn't, nor did he want to, because ever since learning he was the only child of a legendary warrior, a resolve had settled in his heart—to become a powerful warrior like his parents.
As he pondered over these thoughts, the system's voice echoed in his mind:
*"I thought the offspring of a warrior would at least have some sense, but I was wrong. The child of a legendary warrior, before whom even the mightiest warriors trembled, cannot even handle a common thug. Honestly, I feel ashamed of myself for choosing you as my successor. To tell you the truth, if you weren't his son, I wouldn't even glance at you. But since you are his son, and I promised him that I would do everything in my power to train his only legacy, I have no choice but to train you."*
Hearing this, Aditya's anger surged to its peak. He mentally yelled at the system, *"What nonsense are you spouting? My father didn't become legendary in a single day! He probably took just as long as I am taking to learn."*
The system burst out laughing and said, *"Took time? The day he acquired me, by the very next day, he had eradicated the gang that used to trouble him. Anyway, let's leave that aside. Fighting is never about blindly throwing punches and kicks. It's about predicting your opponent's moves and countering them. Look at the punches and kicks you threw—what did they achieve? Nothing. Now, get up and try fighting that man again, but this time, don't attack blindly. Lock eyes with him and observe his movements. Whatever move a person attempts, it first shows in their mind and then in their eyes. If you learn to read someone's eyes, you can win half the battle already. So, get up and try again."*
Aditya immediately acted on the system's advice, getting to his feet and standing tall.
When the man saw Aditya ready to fight again, he laughed mockingly and said, "What, kid? You still want to fight? It seems I've shown you too much mercy. Fine, this time, I'll kill you and end your story once and for all." With that, the man launched another attack on Aditya.
His companions, watching his fighting skills, began talking among themselves.
"Wow, our boss is truly remarkable," one said. "What I admire most about him is that he doesn't discriminate between young or old. If someone crosses his path, even if it's a kid, he doesn't hesitate to teach them a lesson. Look at this boy—he could have walked away peacefully, but no, he wanted to play the hero. Well, when he dies, he'll learn his lesson."
On the other side, Aditya noticed the man charging toward him again. He steadied himself, preparing for the next move. As the man attacked, Aditya remembered the system's advice about predicting his opponent's moves by observing their eyes. Focusing intently, Aditya successfully anticipated the attack, sidestepped just in time, and avoided it.
The system's voice echoed in his mind:
*"Wow, kid! You've impressed me. A little nudge, and you've already started showing your father's sharp instincts. But remember, dodging isn't enough—you need to counterattack. When he tried to kick you, you should have targeted his other leg and brought him down. Then, you could've followed up with two or three solid strikes. Always keep in mind that while you're on the same Warrior level as him, your foundation is far stronger. With your abilities, you can even take on opponents much stronger than you. Now, go for it!"*
Motivated by the system's guidance, Aditya nodded and faced the man again. When the man saw Aditya dodge his attack, he grew furious and launched another strike. This time, Aditya not only avoided the attack but countered with a powerful punch to the man's chest. The impact was so intense that everyone nearby could hear the sound of bones cracking. The man collapsed on the ground, writhing in pain.
Seeing their boss defeated so easily by a 17- or 18-year-old boy, his companions rushed to his side. Meanwhile, the girl the thugs had been harassing stood in stunned silence. Earlier, she had dismissed Aditya as another fool trying to play the hero and getting beaten up in the process. But now, witnessing how brutally he had taken down their leader, she realized Aditya was no ordinary boy.
Aditya, however, paid no attention to her change in demeanor. The thugs, enraged by their boss's condition, decided to attack Aditya together. Although they were slightly weaker than their leader, their combined assault posed a significant threat. Aditya wasn't sure if he could handle them all at once, but the system's voice intervened:
*"This is your true test, kid. That man was just a trailer; the real fight is against these 15 thugs. They're as skilled as him in combat, though slightly less powerful. Focus on their movements and figure out a strategy. Remember, even though I've limited your power, you still have the strength of a Planet-level warrior. Attack them boldly, like a mighty warrior decimating a crowd of cowards!"*
Hearing this, Aditya nodded and charged into the group. The thugs, surprised by his bold move, attacked him simultaneously. But Aditya was prepared—he carefully observed each of their eyes, predicting their next moves. As one of them lunged at him, Aditya delivered a powerful punch, sending the thug flying. Seeing their comrade fall, the rest grew even angrier and launched a coordinated attack.
Aditya countered swiftly, striking another thug so hard that he collapsed, coughing up blood. One by one, Aditya began overpowering them, leaving no chance for retaliation. Within minutes, he had defeated all the thugs.
Once the fight ended, Aditya called the police using his communicator. However, the system informed him, *"Don't worry, host. I've already alerted the police. They'll be here soon, so let's leave now. We can discuss your reward back at the hostel."*
Agreeing with the system, Aditya prepared to leave. But just as he was about to walk away, the girl approached him and said, "Excuse me! You helped me and are leaving without even giving me a chance to thank you?"
Aditya smiled and replied, "There's no need. I saw these men bothering you when I was passing by, so I decided to intervene. Now that you're safe, I think I should go."
The girl, however, insisted, "How can you just leave like that? At least let me thank you properly. My name is Aakriti Singh Rathore, and I'm the eldest daughter of the Rathore family in Mumbai. I'll never forget the way you saved me today."
Hearing her name, Aditya was surprised. "Are you from the Rathore family? The same family that once had a legendary warrior as their disciple?"
Aakriti nodded, confirming his suspicion. Relieved, Aditya removed his mask and said, "Take my photo and show it to your legendary ancestor, if they're still alive. If they recognize me, meet me here next week, same day and time. Otherwise, let's pretend we never met."
After saying this, Aditya posed for a photo with Aakriti and then began to leave. Aakriti stood watching him walk away, but after a moment of thought, she called out to him, "Hello! You've already taken a photo with me, but at least tell me your name."
Saying this, she moved closer to him and soon reached his side. Aditya looked at her and replied, "My name is Aditya Singh Chauhan." With that, he turned to leave again, but Aakriti grabbed his hand to stop him and said, "You're leaving, but what if these men recover and start troubling me again?"
Aditya chuckled at her concern and replied, "Don't worry. The police will arrest them in a short while." Hearing this, Aakriti sighed in relief. However, when she looked back at Aditya, she found that he had vanished.
In reality, Aditya had leapt onto the rooftop of the nearby building from where he had initially arrived. Aakriti, surprised by his sudden disappearance, looked around for him but couldn't find him anywhere. With no other option, she decided to leave as well.
Shortly afterward, the police arrived in their vehicles and began arresting all the men who had harassed Aakriti.
