Chereads / My Omniversal System / Chapter 4 - Ch4 The Call Of Destiny

Chapter 4 - Ch4 The Call Of Destiny

Aditya was standing on top of the building where he had seen those thugs harassing Akriti. He was deeply concerned. The reason for his worry was that even after teaching those people a lesson, he hadn't received any notification. He had read in novels that whenever a protagonist defeats an enemy or completes a mission, the system informs them about it. But here, his **Omniversal System** wasn't responding at all, which left him even more anxious.

He said to himself, "I don't understand what type of system this is. It doesn't even acknowledge the mission I just completed." As he was lost in thought, he suddenly heard the system's voice in his mind:

"Host, you're thinking about why I haven't sent you any notification yet, right? The simple reason is that this was part of your training, not a task meant to earn you points. However, since you insist, I'll grant you just **15 points** for this."

When Aditya heard this, he became furious and said angrily to the system, "What nonsense is this? I stayed up all night fighting these thugs, got beaten up as well, and all I get in return is a measly 15 points? Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"

The system responded calmly, "I feel no shame because my purpose isn't to shower you with points. Instead, I'm here to connect you with the allies who will help you in the future. Don't forget, that girl is a descendant of one of your father's most trusted disciples. In the future, when you need help, she will come to your aid. That's why I brought you here."

Hearing this, Aditya calmed down because he knew that even though he was the son of a legendary warrior, no one was aware of his identity. Even if they did, they wouldn't take him seriously until he achieved something significant on his own. He understood that people only respect those who prove their worth through their own efforts.

Aditya then said to the system, "Fine, I agree you brought me here for a reason, but shouldn't I get something in return? Fifteen points are too little. You know very well I need to become much stronger. As far as I know, you're not going to teach me about the five elements for free. So I need more points to improve my cultivation."

The system ignored his complaint and said, "I know you want to become stronger, and I admire that about you. But before that, I want you to understand your own power. I don't want you to keep gaining strength without learning how to use it properly. Remember, your father and all your mothers could easily defeat opponents far stronger than themselves—not because I was with them, but because they put themselves through rigorous training.

"You might not know this, but when your father tried to master the **Water Element**, he ventured into the depths of the Mariana Trench, where he faced powerful aquatic creatures and gained a complete understanding of water. When he sought control over the **Sky Element**, he trained in the asteroid belt near Mars. To understand the **Fire Element**, he entered the core of the Sun. And to master the **Wind Element**, he braved the dangerous storms of Jupiter.

"You, being the son of such a brave man, want to take shortcuts to gain power? You should be ashamed for even thinking like this. Yes, I can grant you all the powers you desire. For me, it's a trivial matter, as I am an **Omniversal Being**. But remember, you can only use a power effectively if you truly understand it.

"Yes, you don't need the exact same training as your parents because those qualities are already within you. But you still need to train. True, you've inherited a deep connection to these elements, but I refuse to let you squander your natural gifts.

"Remember, strength is like an elephant's. Yet even an elephant becomes weak before a lion. As for your **Planet-level Warrior** strength, you still can't fly—something even a **Saint-level Warrior** can do with ease. First, learn to master your existing powers before asking for more points. I hope you understand my words. Now, let's head back to the hostel."

Aditya remained silent after hearing this. He realized that while he wanted to use his parents' legacy effectively, the system was right. He still couldn't fly, even though a Saint-level warrior could. He then asked the system, "How long can a Planet-level Warrior stay awake without sleeping?"

The system replied, "A Planet-level Warrior can easily go without sleep for 1-2 months. I know you want to train to fly now, but let me warn you: during your training, you will fall repeatedly, suffer serious injuries, and might even be bedridden for days. Are you ready for that?"

Gritting his teeth, Aditya made up his mind to train in flying, even if it was difficult. He informed the system of his decision, and the system did not object. It quickly located a place where Aditya could safely train. Excited, Aditya headed toward the location provided by the system, determined to master the art of flight.

While Aditya was heading toward his training location, back at the spot where he had saved Akriti, she still stood there. She had been about to leave but decided to stay back, deep in thought. She was waiting for someone—the person she had been expecting earlier.

A few moments later, the man she was waiting for appeared. Seeing him, Akriti's anger flared. She glared at the man and shouted, "Where were you all this time? Do you even realize that I almost lost my honor because of you? If that kind boy hadn't come to save me, who knows what would have happened! You only ever think about yourself. Can't you think about others for once?"

After venting her anger, she continued, "Stop staring at me like an idiot! Open the car door so I can get out of this cursed place as quickly as possible."

The man she was scolding was her personal driver. He had left briefly to attend to some urgent work at home, unaware that even a short absence could lead to such a disastrous attack on Akriti, jeopardizing her future. Seeing her fury, the driver immediately opened the door of the car without saying a word. The car was incredibly luxurious, worth around $5–10 million. Akriti quickly got inside and ordered him to leave immediately.

As the car sped away, she couldn't stop thinking about the boy who had saved her from the thugs. His calm demeanor, the way he had intervened without any showmanship, and his immediate departure after helping her had left a lasting impression. Akriti opened the photo the boy had given her and stared at it, lost in thought.

She murmured to herself, *"Who is this boy? Despite knowing I belong to the Rathore family, he didn't take me seriously and simply handed me his photo, asking me to show it to my ancestors. Strange… It feels like he has some deep connection with my family's history."* Determined to find answers, she decided to visit her ancestors to uncover the truth.

For now, she brushed aside her curiosity and started thinking about Aditya. Though he appeared to be only 17 or 18, she instinctively knew he wasn't an ordinary boy. Not only was he exceptionally handsome, but his power and bravery had also left her awestruck. She thought to herself, *"If only he were closer to my age, I might have tried to woo him. But still, his strength at such a young age is what impresses me the most."*

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't realize when they reached the grand Rathore Mansion. As the car entered the palace gates, Akriti composed herself. She stepped out and walked toward the majestic building known as *Rathore Sadan*. Without wasting any time, she headed inside to find her ancestors.

As she wandered through the corridors looking for them, she suddenly heard a familiar voice from behind.

"Akriti, my dear, why are you roaming around so late at night?"

She turned to see her father standing there. Relieved yet still tense, she replied, "Papa, you're still awake? Good. I need to meet our ancestors immediately. I've discovered something very important."

She then narrated everything that had happened, including the attack and how she was saved. Her father listened intently, his face darkening with anger as she recounted the details. Learning that his daughter had narrowly escaped such a grave danger infuriated him deeply.

Akriti's father, **Sanjay Singh Rathore**, was both shocked and enraged upon hearing that someone in Mumbai had dared to attack his daughter's honor. His fury was evident, but Akriti managed to calm him down. She said, "Papa, the boy who saved me gave me this photo and asked me to show it to our ancestors. He said he would only talk further if they recognize him. Otherwise, he claims he neither knows me nor has any interest in knowing me.

"This is why I need to meet our ancestors as soon as possible. The kind of strength that boy possessed convinces me he is no ordinary person. Even though we are descendants of the legendary warrior's direct disciple, we weren't nearly as powerful at such a young age. In fact, we don't even begin our cultivation at that age. So, I request you to please let me meet them quickly so I can uncover the mystery behind that boy."

Sanjay Singh Rathore looked at his daughter with understanding but replied, "My dear, I understand your curiosity. However, our ancestors cannot be disturbed at the moment. They are in the middle of a crucial stage of their cultivation, and any interruption could have severe consequences."

Hearing this, Akriti felt disheartened. Despite her disappointment, she resolved to meet her ancestors as soon as possible to unravel the mystery surrounding the boy who had saved her. She knew deep down that there was more to him than met the eye, and she couldn't let this matter rest until she uncovered the truth.
